>But muh weed is totally safe
>It's even good for you
I like to smoke as much as the next guy, but can this dumb meme finally end?

Doesn't seem to be a huge problem for me.
Smoking alone is not healthy because it is not natural so heart attacks aren't really a problem of cannabis.
Smoking like a retard doesn't help either - if you smoke 3 times a day like a pothead, expect your heart diseases and lung cancer.
A quick search for cannabis side effects also gives:
https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/cbdv.200790151
>Cannabis consumption may increase heart rate and change blood pressure, which may have serious consequences in people with heart disease.
So generally affected are the people of weak health.
Taking drugs irresponsibly can be fatal, that's all.

Also your list is cringe, OP.

Could you be less of a nigger and link directly to a study instead of embarassing yourself publicly as breitbart reader?

Lol, this. This this this.
Drifter · 2021-09-09 07:31
The risk in young adults is pretty low to begin with unless you already have a heart condition so doubling isn't as big a deal as it sounds.

"a predisposition to heart attacks doubles your cannabis use" is an equally valid conclusion to make off the paper.
please fuarrk off with the "hint for future research = the saucy actual meaning of the final data", Karen.

Weed is safe overall though. The only nonsense I have ever heard is it cures cancer. As for heart attacks that might be due to the fact people are smoking way too much and are not doing their research on certain strains. Maybe go on Askgrowers and Wikileaf. There is some that will cause confusion and paranoia while others make you fatigued and hungry. Generalizing Marijuana is as for foolish as porn to marriage or violence to video games. Which also seem to come from a certain party and certain people who hate others having fun or living their lives.

Come on man
That said, have you noticed how everything kills you?
The other day I was reading that eating hot dogs take something like half an hour off your life

Sometimes I feel like living life is a constant game of choosing your venom, quite literally.
If you don't want to die from this do whatever you need to avoid it.
But give people the liberty to at least choose how to die.
Tyrell Wellick · 2021-09-16 18:13
weed increases the risk of getting shot and thats what u shud worry about instead of heart attacks, just because its not caused by the plant itself doesnt change the fact that its real
Apoc · 2021-09-17 11:22

More like anticipation of being shot increases weed smoking.
Donna Hawthorne · 2021-09-19 03:24
Inhaling smoke is unhealthy. Who would have thought.
Crazy Jake · 2021-09-19 11:31

It's just because it increases heart rate. Strenuous exercise would have similar risk. It's why people with heart conditions arent supposed to have weed.

go back
Koos van der Merwe · 2021-09-19 13:59
I didnt start drinking/smoking thinking it be good for my health.
Never expected to live past 30, yet i do and i still dont give a fuarrrk if it kills me.
When your ticket gets punched it gets punched, weed is worth dying for imo.

>cannabis use doubles risk of heart attack
not what the paper says. Recent cannabis use is associated with heart attacks, and obviously smoking anything is bad for your cardiovascular system, but there are other factors at play here
The biggest shortcoming of this paper is bad sample selection:
>Compared with nonusers, the prevalence of recent cannabis use was higher among males (62.9% v. 49.3%), unmarried respondents (68.0% v. 46.4%), current combustible cigarette users (31.6% v. 13.2%), current e-cigarette users (18.1% v. 5.1%) and heavy alcohol drinkers (17.4% v. 5.2%).
For one, the rate of cigarette smokers was more than double in the weed users population, and heavy drinkers was over triple. We know those contribute greatly to heart disease, yet the paper makes no attempt to control for them. Without normalizing the populations for those variables (and many others I don't have the time to get into), the paper is basically meaningless when it comes to demonstrating any casual relationship between weed and heart problems.
Anyway yeah weed isn't totally safe but this paper doesn't show that it doubles your risk of heart attack.
And breitbart is garbage propaganda

Essentially what this means it's they basically tried to conflate Cigarette Smokers, E-Cigs and Alcohol drinkers with Cannabis. While also failing to account any real control groups. The irony is it can make you paranoid depending on the strain and it may make operating machinery difficult depending on if it's concentrates or edibles. But let's be honest that is if you do not research and understand what you are getting yourself into. Also I agree on Breitbart especially if these are the awful articles they approve of.

Psychedelics overall is worth dying for and commiting to getting it Legalized and Decriminalized in some form. The lack of people to enjoy their lives or to seek meaning to be able take this stuff is the highest crime against humanity.

>Breitbart again
>Link 1 study when you can find over 9000 of them about weed and heart related problems. (hello sci-hub)
>yeah no soykaf it's making your blood pressure rise
>alcohol is worse in every way
>somehow it's enough to make a post on lainchan because some angry weed hating writer at breitbart is mad enough to right about it
What's up with all those breitbart sourced posts on lainchan lately? Is it the same guy posting soykaf over and over again?
Can he get back to four chan's pol? he seems lost.
