How long should I/do you wait between taking MDMA/XTC

brooke · 2021-08-03 06:22
Recently took xtc for the first time it instantly became my fav drug, but I'm aware that taking it too regularly can fuarrrk you up badly, seen soykaf saying you should wait a month in-between doses, but that seems long af, how bad would 2 weeks be? Btw everyone kept warning me that the come down would be really depressive and awful but I felt totally normal, is that unusual? I figure it could be bc extremely depressed is just my default.

>>8876 Done about 6-7 times and every time I let a big gap between each dosages. I've drank it all in one gulp, I've done triple dosages in one go. Stick to normal dosages, take them sparigly. 1 month sounds good enough but you may even need to let a longer period. The comedowns are bad, you can feel physically a belt squeezing your brain and just making it imposible to make happy thoughts. Best thoughts you can make while having drawbacks is that all this will pass because of the comedowns etc. This is bad. Yes, these are some of the brightesr thoughts you get while comebown is active. I felt this once after taking almost 1g of mdma/xtc combo and it lasted for about a week. Its bad. If you take normal dosages you dont have the comedown but the key is to understand that this experience should not be done often. You should see it as a kickstart to being more open and enjoyable of life, and not the only way to get that high. I've felt the need to have another go pretty soon when I had this mindset. First time I had 1.5 times the normal dosage and a naive mindset made me have 0 comedown the next days. I even felt that I was happier and better psychologically for at least a week+. That probably happened because of 0 tolerance, first ever dosage and general good energy via food, dancing. Nowdays I do almost once a year and every time feels 90% of what the first time doing was like. Good enough, but I feel that % is lower if you do it frequently.

>>8878 this lainon sums it up pretty good incase you should binge on it sometime and have some hard days after, which you will, take some 5-HTP after the MDMA has worn off. you can buy it legally as a supplement and it metabolizes to serotonin in the body. back when i used to do MDMA, i took 1 capsule 5-HTP everytime about 12-24h after the MDMA has worn of. If i dosed too much i might take it twice a day for a few days. it will make the days after a little less brutal. never take it while doing MDMA unsell you wanna get a life threatening serotonin syndrom and likely die have fun and stay safe

>>8881 will note this thanks. when you were doing mdma how regularly did you take it?
Zhora · 2021-08-04 23:36
3 months is the rule of thumb provided by lady Shulgin, though it was anecdotal. Your serotonin receptors downregulate each roll and studies have shown that your serotonin receptors don't return completely to normal for 6-8 weeks for a healthy person, possibly longer if you're unhealthy or just unlucky. You can't really feel it either, so even though you feel fine a few days after a roll, your serotonin receptors are still dealing with it. So the 3 month rule seems good in that regard. Mdma has other mechanisms by which it can cause damage though. These can be minimized by using a safe dose (100-125mg, half for the redose if you choose to), staying cool (mdma damage is worse at higher temperatures), and using some supplements during your roll which have been show in animal studies to minimize damage (rollsafe and dancesafe have some lists along with study links). After the roll, 5htp will restore serotonin and NAC may repair some damage. 2 weeks apart isn't going to cause lasting damage if you do it once but you'll want to get in the habit of sticking to longer wait periods. MAPS studies on mdma for ptsd do 3 sessions 3 weeks apart and report no problems, but these are also intended to be the only 3 rolls in the patients lives (and they're in a controlled environment). The comedown isn't bad in my experience. Just hard to sleep. I have friends who get extremely sick on the comedown, but most are fine. I usually don't experience hangovers following these guidelines, infact usually I have an afterglow for a few days, but I have experienced hangovers after doing it relatively frequently (2 weeks apart) and with a way higher dose than responsible and that hangover fuarrrking sucked. Brain fog for about a month. Be safe, op. Mdma is great but if you abuse it too frequently you can end up with really serious issues. It's a chemical to treat with respect.

I was a hopeless drug addict in highschool and years afterward. For a long time I abused ecstasy, and I can confirm, it will fuarrrk you up if you do it too often. I'm not sure exactly what it does on a biological level, but it basically felt like a slowdown of all my cognitive functions. It's the best drug in the world, but you need to be responsible enough to use it a few times a year, no more. If you take it more frequently than that, you risk ending up in a bad place. Find other activities or drugs to occupy yourself in the meantime.

>>8876 I'm not sure, I've never used MDMA Are you taking it to relieve the depression? MDMA is being studied as a possible treatment for depression. https://ascpt.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/cpt.565 However the quality of the drug you get from an illicit dealer may no be comparable to what is used in a clinical trial. the dosage used in a clinical trial is precise. I don't think everyone benefits from MDMA, the scientists only used 2 or 3 doses spread a month apart. If you find yourself wanting more than that, perhaps its not working for you. Psilocybin is another drug also being studied as a potential depression treatment. The benefits have been observed to be sustained long term after only a few doses spaced a month apart. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.1177/0269881116675513 As far as I know these drugs haven't yet passed phase 3 clinical trials, but if they do it could be good news for depression sufferers. Currently antidepressants such as SSRIs are usually taken for a longer period of time. It might be worth speaking to a psychiatrist about your drug options. The FDA has granted breakthrough therapy status to MDMA https://maps.org/news/media/6786-press-release-fda-grants-breakthrough-therapy-designation-for-mdma-assisted-psychotherapy-for-ptsd,-agrees-on-special-protocol-assessment-for-phase-3-trials If you really are still keen on using MDMA you might want to consider participating in a clinical trial https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?cond=MDMA&term=&cntry=&state=&city=&dist= Since this is a new area of science dosage guidelines are still being figured out. I have heard anecdotal stories of psilocybin users who need to use long term to treat their depression. https://shroomsaustralia.com/how-many-shooms-to-take-for-therapy/ But they still seem to prefer to use as sparingly as possible. Some users prefer to microdose, but there probably hasn't been enough study of microdosing yet. Of course perhaps the solution to your problem is not drugs at all, other treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation may be worth consideration. There are still risks associated with MDMA "MDMA overdose can be dangerous, even fatal" - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3931692/

>>8892 Clinical trials don't accept people who have already used mdma, so OP is out of luck there (unless he lies but that would undermine the integrity of the results and nobody ever lies to get drugs) I fully credit mdma with curing my depression and consider trying it one of the best decisions I ever made.
brooke · 2021-08-06 17:50
>>8892 >Are you taking it to relieve the depression partially at least. also just bc its fun. I really wanna take it again already but that would really not be smart. I'll wait the whole month *at least*. Might just try to save it for when i have really bad depression days.
Ein · 2021-08-10 22:08
>>8896 Try to give some thought to what makes you depressed next roll. It may help to think through it while the mdma is making you feel less guarded and more loved. Would caution against doing it during depressive episodes because if your depressive episode is caused by low serotonin, it could worsen or prolonge it. NAC supplements, in addition to possibly helping repair brain damage, may also help reduce the cravings. There are studies which suggest its useful for nail biters, alcoholics and either cocaine or meth addicts (don't remember which off band) although it is currently in the "more studies needed" phase before we can say for certain it helps curb cravings.

Im one of few who doesn't like it, I can't deal with nostalgia and I was almost raised to avoid it. Ecstasy gives me nostalgic feelings I can't cope with during and after. During I get to such heightened emotions I vomit and after I get this self destructive longing. Still I have experience with it and friends love it. My personal time I had to wait was a month, and the thing was that it was fairly pointless for that reason. Id take it and be depressed for a month, id only even feel okay to do it again once that lifted but then if I did it id be depressed for a month again right? Others I know reccomend 2 months, and some I know reccomend 2 weeks. Ive known people who did it every week or two weeks and many got fried, but some did not. Among those that are a bit permafried many are okay now, or still seem a bit off but are doing just fine. Others are not doing fine and I dont see them anymore. It can really depend, but its best to not think your an exception and so id say a month is a reasonable time or 4 weeks and 8 weeks to a month if you want to be conservative.

>>8886 when MDMA first got me into drugs, besides weed, i took it about once every 2 mounts but later overdid it and took it several times a month and multiple days in a row. i found out about 5-HTP after i took maybe 10 300mg pills over a weekend wich gave me some extremly harsh days after. i do it extremly sparingly nowadays maybe twice a year. the magic is kinda gone now and i rather do meth/amphetamine to party since it givs me the energy boost without the extreme empathy that comes with MDMA
brooke · 2021-09-12 14:10
>>8923 yeah i think i've kinda decided that i wanna stick to doing it every 6 weeks. i havent done it since and its been 6 weeks though, i wanna save it for when i really need it >>8938 >multiple days in a row fuarrrk that sounds pretty scary i hope you were alright
AnPsi · 2021-10-30 09:42
ive taken mdma and mda countless times. at one point i was taking around 3 points every day for a month straight, w/ larger doses on the weekends. no one knew or noticed at least no one said anything. i quit cold turkey after that month and for the next few days, everything was dark. literally. my perception of light was fuarrrked up so that it looked like it was right after sunset during broad daylight. i almost passed out multiple times in public w/ my homies. but i was perfectly fine a week or two later w/ no noticable long term effects. the most ive ever takin is prolly around 3g's. i felt like a crackhead. i couldnt sleep for 3 days after and i started hallucinating voices and figures in the dark. i slept for 15+ hours after that but i felt okay, maybe a little sadder than normal that day. ive never had a hard come down from pure molly in stand alone doses under 5 points. i recommend it to everyone who asks. >how long breaks do i recommend you should be fine w/ a week inbetween doses. if ur getting wrecked, take two weeks instead.

Is there anything I can do to get the magic back? Last time I waited almost 3 years in between dosing and it was still gone. I've done MDxx around 40 times and 6-APB around 20. Is it gone forever?
AnPsi · 2021-11-06 04:18
>>9437 see >>9440 >>9443 >Is it gone forever? yes. theres no taking it back. the best u can do is find other, similar drugs that you havent done yet. these wont be as good as ur first time on mdxx or 6-APB, but it'll come close. i would recomend moving to coke after you've burnt out on mdxx if u havent tried that but be careful as its more addictive + dangerous. a coke high is in the same genre as mdxx.

>>9418 holy fck what???? this is crazy lol three grams????!!??? i feel like im dying sometimes on like 220mg. no actual way you took 3gs and lived. >no one knew or noticed at least no one said anything also they definitely knew. ecstasy is like one of the few drugs that its genuinely impossible to hide imo. your pupils are dilated to fuarrrk, eyes are insanely wide and smiling like a crazy person, and thats just the physical changes. i find even like lsd is easy af to hide in comparison.

>>9443 Some people have been reporting that taking NAC for a few months has restored the magic for them. I took it for a few months after I had started to notice a small loss in magic and afterwards I rolled harder than I ever had before. I take it for a couple months after each roll now and each roll still hits just as hard.

>>9578 >holy fck what???? this is crazy lol >three grams????!!??? i feel like im dying sometimes on like 220mg. no actual way you took 3gs and lived. this was after a year or two of heavy usage, post my month binge. i had intended on sellin it but that never happened lol. i skipped school and work, and barely ate. i took the 3gs over the course of about 12 hours. i noticed halfway thru that i was blacking out as if i took xans for about ten minutes at a time. my parents thought i was just sick w/ the flu. i puked many times but it was only dry heaves. after i ran out, i wasnt even doing anything like playing video games or switching b/t apps on my phone. i was just spazzing out in my bed. my bed was soaked w/ sweat when i finally woke up on the 4th day >also they definitely knew. ecstasy is like one of the few drugs that its genuinely impossible to hide imo. your pupils are dilated to fuarrrk, eyes are insanely wide and smiling like a crazy person, and thats just the physical changes. i find even like lsd is easy af to hide in comparison. ppl at school def knew something was up, but no teachers noticed. if they did, i woulda been expelled and prolly arrested. my parents somehow never noticd. they would have sent me to rehab or sum.

>>9682 >im curious, what were you doing while high? i mean im sure you didnt party for one month straight right? on my month binge i was just going to school, hanging out w/ friends + my gf, just living life. i went to probably one party that entire time. >do you feel less "sharp" mentally after this experience or nah? for a week or so after and during i felt unmotivated, but thats it. never experienced any iq drops or anything like that. thats why i recommend molly wholeheartedly after all this. i pushed usage to the limits in every way possible and theres been no long term consequences. i feel like mdma should be a weed-like drug that's more accepted socially. alc is way more dangerous. >what do you do today, do you work in tech? are you a programmer? rn i work in the manufacturing sector, and im not just some button pusher lol. my job is generally seen as the top job in what im doing rn. i program in my spare time tho.
