Are there any good drugs which treat the symptoms of SzPD, specifically low motivation? I don't want to fuarrrk myself over and miss out on career potential, and the possibility of making friends. Over the past year I've had no motivation to do anything but jerk off and I wanna fix that.

Risperidone is the only one I've tried, after going to a doctor, and it did nothing but make my symptoms even worse.

I'm at a loss. How could you be schizoid if you want friends? Well there isn't really a medication for it specifically. You would have to give more details on what you feel you want to change.

I know that, I'm not looking for just anyone to be friends with, but somebody "like" me. Just one.

I would like to have less of a fear of opening up, and possibly cure the aspects of the condition which affect relating with others: paraphilia, not expressing feelings meaningfully, speech with no affect. I would also like to find a motivation in life again, one that I've lacked for some time now.

Maybe I should also specify my interest in alternative healing methods, like Psychedelics.

Wanting not just anyone as a friend is the common norm for anyone not desperate. Were you officially diagnosed? Since this instead could be avoidant personality disorder or autism spectrum disorder. They are among several of the differential diagnoses for szpd. Aside from desire for a friend or couple of them part of what makes this sound different from the textbook criteria is your concern over having a paraphilia. A person who is schizoid would not generally be concerned what others think of them. Or is it that this paraphilia or paraphilias pose a bodily danger to you (including possible threat of prison) or a danger to others? A paraphilia isn't a paraphilic disorder unless it causes you serious threat. I just want to confirm so I understand how to respond on what may help at least in theory being that I have no experience and little knowledge of szpd.

I fit the ICD-11 guidelines for Personality disorder with Negativistic traits like a glove, which correlates most strongly with Avoidant. The issue is that I feel good from socializing, but I just don't say anything about me, I don't become too attached to people, and if I were to become too attached I get very nervous and stop the relationship. This second point isn't from AvPD. I was diagnosed with a Detached and Negativistic personality disorder after getting help through a hard time in my life, kind of like AvPD and SzPD. It's not autism.
>A paraphilia isn't a paraphilic disorder unless it causes you serious threat.
My paraphilia can damage my health if it's acted on, but so far fetish porn is enough. It's also something auto-erotic, and doesn't involve other people or things, part of SzPD "asexuality". It's a pest.

What would you say causes you to become nervous when getting attached? Do you feel like they will leave you so you leave them first to avoid the rejection? Or do you feel like you will be embarassed by things they know? Or do you feel like they may have ulterior motives and could harm you other ways? Would you say this stems from insecurity or paranoia or more like a thought of losing power over your life choices? And about the paraphilia, alright then. Though I'm not sure how that is tied in to your original point. Paraphilias aren't something you need to share with people to be close to them especially if it's autoerotic. Is this your only sexual interest are you suggesting?
