anons, I would like your help reducing my sleep need by as much as possible why? because I like to be awake just recently I have started drinking coffee, since I had never done it I have researched into sleep cycle modification like uberman, dymaxion, etc but I suspect it wont suit me and instead I am looking for some drug that enables me to do that instead, without reducing my creativity and responsiveness without feeling sleepy I don't mind side effects as long as they are not fatal drug, mushroom, microdosing, specific exercises, etc... I want a chance at conquering my world

why spend so much effort to be awake instead of simply getting adequate rest so you can be alert during the day?

That's not healthy. Only possible way you can do it without negative effects is if you increase REM sleep time to make sleep more efficient. Also why not practice lucid dreaming so you can get more done while asleep?

>>6696 Sorry I meant Non REM 3 deep sleep is most vital. REM sleep is important for memory. So what you want is both more REM sleep and more Non REM 3. So in other words you need to fall asleep more deep more quickly. Only under those conditions could you maybe sleep less hours and not feel negative effects.

You can do that with modafinil. You'll also end-up killing yourself if you try to overdo it, and just burning yourself out otherwise.

>>6693 stop wasting a third of your lifetime right now while asleep and get into lucid dreaming! but seriously, consider giving it a try, it's pretty cool lain

>>6693 It's incredibly fuarrrking unwise. Any tiny gains (of wake time) you may gain will, over time, be sacrificed for serious losses in mental capacity, awareness, and general physical/mental wellbeing. Take it from me, from science, and from many others - do not fuarrrk with your sleep, it's not sustainable. Especially those cool-looking charts of wacky sleep schedules you may have seen (protip - very, very few people are physically suited to handle that kind of schedule). And taking care of your sleep is critical for maintaining the vital repair functions it provides to the brain, as well as the long-term memory, creativity, and cognitive functions/benefits. You will gain much more by researching ways to improve the quality of sleep you already get, such as sleep hygiene, diet, exercise, and meditation/breathing techniques before bed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MuIMqhT8DM

>>6693 Plenty of good sleep is one of the most important aspects of increasing not just health and quality of life in general, but productivity as well. If you want to achieve more, sleep more. Nothing else will increase the quality of the other 16 hours of your day quite as much. Watch this: https://youtu.be/pwaWilO_Pig

>>6698 This is the best option and Modafinil really does keep you feeling awake and alert like nothing else but it really can't be understated how much it'll fuarrrk with your health if you use it as a flat out sleep substitute. Theres no drug replacement for sleep OP, only short term things that stop you feeling the effects of tiredness.

>>6700 hahahahahaha I get like 4 hours of sleep a night, and I get them in +-90 minute intervals where I wake up, so much time for activities. Years of sleep deprivation in the pursuit of knowledge or living in unsafe places have made me impossible to sneak up on and 100% more efficient then normal people GOD I JUST WANT TO SLEEP NORMALLY I started with caffeine and then just started working through normal sleep hours. Also use adrenaline to keep yourself up by working out when you start to get tired. The feeling is super trippy at first, but you get used to it.

>>6693 >reducing sleep need Part of it is tired eyes. Just keep your eyes less tired for the day and make sure your sleep is perfect. If you could go with 4 hours of sleep, you can get yourself a 20 hour/day. Hipster sleep cycles are just a meme and isn't really applicable unless you're in situations where there's a disaster that needs to be addressed (like monitoring a volcano or after a deadly storm). 4 hours is adequate enough as long as your sleeping area is void of any electricity and radiation. A good indicator of sleep is by having dreams, this state is where your body is able to self-repair and that's all you need for the next day. Exposing your sleeping body with electricity or live wires, bedside lamps, or living near a cell tower in general already robs you off of your resting time, this means your body requires more sleep time to avoid oxidative stress from non-ionizing radiation and forcing you to sleep longer.

>>6723 Maybe that's why I sleep like soykaf. I can't really keep my desktop anywhere else than right next to my bed so I am forced to sleep with it next to me.

>>6693 i stayed awake for days just working on my home servers with amphetamine ended up fuarrrking my long term memory, and the aftermath was several months of tiredness... don't try it, get enough sleep, get soykaf done
