I've been smoking weed daily for 6 years. And i think i've damaged my lungs and throat badly because of that.
Right now, I'm gonna quit weed right now, forever.
So, any anons that are familiar with weed cessation? How has been your experience?
Agent Smith · 2020-08-03 10:06
I been toking some bad soykaf for like 2 years almost daily now so i can relate.
The idea of quitting seems impossible for me, you can try vaping or water pipe if youre really cheap but it wont help.
Alternatives might be dissolving hash in liquor or yoghurt or other food and save the lungs by just getting high on "food".
Hope you find a way out this,

Vaping is a good start if you don't wan't to be completely abstinent.
every now and then I make myself a Tea

vaping instead of smoking is like trading HIV for Cancer, i actually think that vaping can cause more damage than smoking weed

nice trips, why liquor of yogurt? does it really work?

You're a fuarrrking retard. Vaping is 1000x safer.

sorry anon but i dont think that inhaling propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin is that good of an idea, even if it is not "as damaging" as smoking

Use an herb vape, not the cartridge soykaf.

Quitting cold turkey is not that bad. I smoked for a decade and just decided to stop for a year. Trouble sleeping and lack of appetite for a few days then it's all good.

Cannabis has become real popular in the last few years and its quite psychologically addictive.
>>6335
>every now and then I make myself a Tea
I didnt know you can make tea that has the thc dissolved in it.
>>6337
>nice trips, why liquor of yogurt? does it really work?
Thank you those really are some nice trips, wish id made better use of them.
Anyhow yes you can make yoghurts with hash and even weed, the alcohol and fat dissolve the thc, but i havent quite figured out the right process yet.
I had some success but also a few failures, im still trying to find an easy, cheap and idiot proof way of getting high without fuarrrking up my lungs.
Sadly my supply is very thin and its just a pain to get and sometimes losing it cuz i fuarrrk up, but once i figure it out for real im gonna have life going much better for me.
One time i also made coffee with hash dissolved in the cream, it got me quite fuarrrked up, but i dont know what exactly i did either.
Honestly i love the thc effect, but i hate smoking it, not just because of the health effects, but also its nasty and actually very inefficient, imo smoking it is not worth the plant.

You discount the psychological addiction, yes in theory quitting is that easy, but what if you end up an angry depressed soykaf like i do when not stoned.

I started pretty young and smoked for like 10 years, usually around an ounce a month. i had a great trip on 6g of shrooms a few years back, and basically came out of it realizing i didn't need to be doing stuff like that anymore, and i've been sober since.
i had tried to quit a few times before, but it was never really "sticking". there is a dichotomy in a lot of addiction material i've read about abstinence vs quitting. my previous attempts were just prolonged periods of abstinence, and now that i've really quit i can tell the difference.
as for how i feel, i feel great but that may or may not be directly correlated to smoking. my life has been better than ever the last few years, i'm not sure if going sober is symptomatic of that, a part of the reason for that, or completely unrelated. i wouldnt be surprised either way.
one thing i can say for sure though is that it's cool to dream again.

thats an interesting point because time ago i went 60 days without smoking and i used to remember my dreams more easily

You're doing the right choice Lainon.
I was regularly smoking weed for 10 years. Then stopped abruptly, wasn't difficult, and it was a renaissance for me.
It's just in your head so if you are serious about quitting it shouldn't be difficult.
Godspeed.

Yes cannabis is a "dream inhibitor". Since I stopped I could remember my dreams. And my nightmares to...

I really love weed never let it go, anyway if you want to do it i recommend you to do exersice, dont know the details but doing exercise really (chemically) gives you more willpower, and will be chill without the need of weed.
Maybe you dont want to let it go completely, with exercise you will easily down your dose.
Also research about vapers for weed, they are different from the popular tobacco ones, and more expensive also(choose a good reviewed one) it will take out your problem.

How hard it is depends on whether or not you rely on it to not feel depressed. If you feel suicidal without drugs you're in for a long and unpleasant experience, but not one that lasts forever. I smoked daily for probably the same amount of time and I managed to stop, but I relapsed a lot. Ultimately I realised that part of the reason why my mood was all over the place was because of it, and when I stopped things got a lot more steady. Also you will feel like you have a brain again which is nice. I wouldn't be too worried about your lungs. I did a spirometry test a couple of years after quitting and my lungs were above average, even for someone who would have never smoked, and I smoked weed and cigarettes all day every day, so even for 6 years, you're probably fine.

Hi Lainons. I've been smoking weed for 3 consecutive years and I'm ready to take a good break (6 months). Of course this isn't easy but it's for the best. Marijuana in my country is kinda soykafty, so it's a common weedsmoker habit to blaze 2-5 joints in one day. That is not good. The less you smoke the better. If you're a heavy user, it completely overwhelms your psychological, neural and bodily systems. After my experience I've had the conviction that weed is a drug to be respected kindly in order to get the real benefits from it. Weed can get boring and pointless very easily. When you're a beginner, weed hits you hard. And it is supposed to. MJ is a potential entheogenic if you know how to use it and how to navigate the Psyche. I would never be the same person I am today without weed. It gave me the power to control my emotions more responsibly, some courage to deal with the real world, some wisdom, some empathy and a good sense of flow. Now, all I get is a weird sense of time being wasted, losing my grasp on life, overwhelming my lungs with smoke and getting kinda dumb and irresponsible. It goes both ways. Drinking/eating/vaping weed would just eliminate the "lung" variable.
Cannabis is a good friend, but don't abuse it. It speaks to and through you, listen when it needs a break.

Very well put and good luck, its worth it im sure.
I will probably as i long should have go trough the same.
If i was a millionaire id probably be smoking all day every day, but as it is its not worth it.
Weed is indeed in a powerful drug, luckly i still get sorta high, but it did lose a lot of its magic which i miss and it enhances experiences of which for weed i have this year few if any left.
I do have high hopes of having my own plants next year if everything goes well.
Smoking weed is a different experience if you can puff your own.

This is kind of a plan of mine, but of course it requires considerable amount of resource and dedication. Planting weed is a tricky work. I also work with beekeeping and I'm thinking of combining both of the practices to enjoy the best of both. Smoking good weed that you've cared dearly is a total win, I imagine. I surely love the sweet leaf but it needs proper dedication and unfortunately I don't live in Colorado.

hell yeah. Me and some roommates once grew some big ole bushes from seeds we found in our weed. It was great. Had a fuarrrk ton too.

>This makes me wonder if bees can make psychoactive honey from cannabis.
It seems the plant is pollinated by wind (green flowers, with big pistils), so no honey for you.

Oh oops apparently the male plants don't have flowers but rather pollen sacs. Though maybe some genetic engineering could make cannabis with flowers.
Molly Millions · 2020-09-06 21:44

>Though maybe some genetic engineering could make cannabis with flowers.
One problem still - the plant doesn't produce sweet nectar for bees and the flowers are not suited for attracting pollinators anyway.
This would require extensive gene editing or selective breeding, would get some time.
All this effort just to make your bees stoned? xD
