What happened to the famous audio drugs, so widely known 10 years ago? Is there still people listening to them? Do you have any experience with these market?

Are they even working besides placebo?

isochronic tones seem more likely to have an effect than binaural beats I would think. Also breainwave entrainment from lights flickering at proper frequency.

Is there any science involved or are subliminal/binaurals just a placebo?

It's total BS. Binaural phenomena are a thing, but it was always a leap to say they caused any other kind of psychotropic effects. They do not.

Related to audio+drugs is an interesting trip report I bookmaked on r/RCs about DiPT: https://www.reddit.com/r/researchchemicals/comments/9rq71a/trip_report_4045mg_dipt/
Doesn't sound very desirable, but interesting nonetheless.

I would suspect that our senses are proofed against more interesting hallucinations due to their nature of survival. I wouldn't expect more from binaural beats than from optical illusions. Chemical is the way.

Your deep mammal brain instincts can actually work against you. Pattern recognition is a hell of a drug.

Doesn't really have to do with OP though I guess.

Sadly no, I tried a lot and I am a very weak to self-induction.
Jim Hilger · 2020-08-31 19:23
It was just scam and hype. Nothing to see here.
However you could induce some high with sounds: go in a noisy environment and alternatively close/open your ears with your fingers. Playing with the frequency you could feel some vertigo and dissociative feeling.
When I was a child I did it a lot in the school cafeteria or during fire alarms.

This has been my experience. I tried binaural beats and it failed, but isochronic tones were much more effective. Does anybody know why this is the case?

I actually listened to them with mi cousin we got some really good trips. I think they are really cool but i dont recomend abusing them because you could get hear loss.

Iso tones probably work better because it's more direct while binaural beats uses a questionable theory on the tones combining in your brain.

Shit makes me sleep. That's about it.
