So like a week ago I drank some pepsi&coffee and smoked weed, 5 minutes in when I'm laying on bed im feeling like I'm going to faint and when I got up it was hard for me to stand. 10 minutes in my heartbeat was extremely worrying, I could feel it throughout my whole body at this point I was very scared and panicked I even considered going to the hospital but I pleyed Minecraft and it got easier. Why did it happen? Do i have a weak heart or is it normal when you mix caffeine&thc?
Batou · 2019-11-13 17:20
it's normal since both cannabis and caffeine raise your heartrate and if you don't have any serious heart complications you won't die from this combo
playing minecraft was likly the best thing to do bc it will distracts you from your heartbeat and calms down the panic

Did you use tobacco in it and do you smoke it often?
Strong nicotine rush can cause these symptoms, but seasoned smokers rearly have them.

Doesn't cannabis SLOW your heart rate down? I might be wrong but my theory was that weed conflicted with the caffeine and my heart was having a hard time to control the slowing down from weed and raising from caffeine

no, even tho cannabis is a more sedating psychedelic for many it increases your heart rate and bloodpressure
you can read more about the effects and sideeffects of all kinds of drugs on psychonautwiki and erowid if you want to get into drugs

I was a wrong there, after a little reading it up again, cannabis dosent increase the bloodpressure it rather decreases it wich increases the heartrate

There does seem to be support for interaction.

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like a panic attack which some people get when they get high.
Probably, there was nothing physically wrong with you.

i dont think you should drink pepsi&coffee anon
Lady Jessica · 2019-11-23 04:49
maybe sugar dehydrated you and mj made your blood pressure low and caffeine made your heart race?
probably something complicated like that.
also acute cardiac arythmia is pretty normal except when its not
if you are worried go to a doctor but if this is the first time you notice this its probably nothing.
Switch · 2020-03-10 05:41
why did you mix them dude
Six · 2020-03-10 06:06
Are you like 12? Coffee and pepsi contain caffeine, which increases your heart rate. When you smoke weed, you're (for most people) more self-aware and likely to pick up on small anomalies, like an increased heart-rate. Furthermore, weed shortens your short-term memory, sometimes leading to anxiety. Combine all these factors, and you get a panic attack.
The key is just relax and realize weed never killed anybody.

Coffee contains a lot of caffeine and pepsi contains a little caffeine. Caffeine blocks the chemicals that promote sleep and have an adrenaline effect. You probably just had a ton of caffeine but got freaked out by it because you were high. As with most people you were probably dehydrated and your blood sugar was off a tad. I don't know what weed does to your heart rate but combining substances probably isn't a good idea. Also a lot of people go around with heart disorders undiagnosed but those are usually exposed by things like alcohol.

Since are are at it, is purple drank a thing?
Do people really drink a deadly mix of shampoo and anti-freeze mixed with champagne, mentos and coke to get high?
Neuromancer · 2020-08-28 03:08
Panic attack can happen with weed. Remember cannabis could induce schizophrenia and paranoia to.

Purple drink is nothing but codeine cough syrup with some soda.
The name purple come from the colour of the syrup.
>deadly mix of shampoo and anti-freeze mixed with champagne, mentos and coke to get high?
Looks like an(other) urban legend...

I heard it was a mix of tonic water and liquefied action figures of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland (2010)

loooool nah bro. What else have you been whipping up in your garage? Jenkem? It's codeine syrup and usually sprite. It's not actually that great unless you just wanna chill HARD, harder than most people prefer—like drooping into a coma hard, like that guy who smokes way too much weed all the time like he's proud of it and secretly has something to prove hard. But it's pretty boring in my experience. Back when I did it it was mainly just done for clout because somebody thinks they're gonna be a rapper (I had a soundcloud friend in Houston) but I don't think anyone does it much these days.

"Induce" schizophrenia as in trigger latent schizo that was always destined to come out. It won't give it to people who don't have the predisposition. Check your family history if you're scared about it, and if you have some wacky uncles then maybe act accordingly and talk to a psych. Or just lean in lol

You're right. But panick attack and paranoia could happen even without medical background. Just not the good mood. About schizo yes I knew it but was tired to develop it here.
Cowboy · 2020-08-30 08:44
Schizo is complex disorder, which development correlates mostly with genetic factors and it's in fact rather form of neurodiversity than typical mental disorder because not even majority of people with neurological predisposition to schizophrenia will develop chronic and recurrent psychosis during their lifetime, or even will need to be hospitalized.
I'm also prone to psychosis, paranoid thinking, and, in fact, this is how I react to stressful factors, which led me to hospitalization one time. Bad trip on drugs can be such a factor, but much more often it will be such event like exhaustion at work, burnout and dismissal, death of a loved one, etc. It doesn't mean you can't smoke weed or other psychedelics, only that it's good to be more careful about set and setting and mixes.

na dont smokeweed if ur schizo. Do cbd isolate. Or no drugs at all.
