Ugh, I can't stand this mindset. Drugs for productivity. We're so beaten down.
Void · 2019-11-03 20:18
Meth/speed will make simple tasks interesting as fuarrrk
Cocaine if you want to feel productive
LSD if you want to be creative, micro dosing for learning i guess
Ein · 2019-11-03 20:25
You should try to eat a healthy diet amd exercise and take supplements before you think you need drugs to be productive.

You'll want a combination of Racetams, Caffeine + Theanine, B vitamins and microdosed LSD.
Also look into intermittent fasting.

phenibut for mentality behind motivation and productivity
modafinil for sheer focus and wind in the back
micro dosing lsd for new pathways and new unseen things and not narrowing your view

depends what "productivity" means. Meth will make you very productive, and I personally use caffeine to crank out my work.
People often say micro-dosing LSD but I don't think it's very good for most everyday tasks. If anything it makes them harder(when it does anything at all), because you won't be able to focus on something you find uninteresting. It can, however, help clear up the fog of depression, and when you're really interested in whatever it is you're doing it can help you get in the groove.
Nemissa · 2020-04-08 22:11
Meth is whatcha need, it's really easy to get it and not as bad as people lead on. Don't get high on it though, that's where the addiction can begin. Put it in an emptied medicine capsule, not too much, just a pinch, and orally take it. I'll give you the energy and focus that you need to get things done.
Tequila · 2020-04-08 22:13

you can get it on the street, just ask around a bit (ask crackheads) don't show them large bills, use smaller ones like five dollar bills and decide how much you want to buy from there on. If you have a dealer that sells meth, than you're one lucky bastard.

Is proper meth significantly better as a productivity drug (when used as you describe) than methylphenidate or other conventional ADHD medication? I have a script for the latter so I don't plan to switch but I'm curious.

not for most tasks. Adderall is pretty much just slow-release meth.

Don't listen to these idiots, I beg you. Meth is not a productive drug. There's a reason the "tweaker" stereotype exists. It's entirely over-stimulating to the point where you won't be productive doing anything. You'll get entirely too focused on stupid self-destructive things. Anyone that tells you it's good for motivation or anything is an underaged idiot. It's not "just adderall." There is no doing "just a little bit." It will take over your mind and ruin your life.
Source: I smoked meth daily, non-stop for 4 years. I went from someone that had a good job and a college degree to doing armed home invasions at dealer's houses. Lost everything I had and went to jail multiple times before I finally got off of it.
Don't do meth.

are you aware meth is an FDA approved drug for obesity and narcolepsy as "desoxyn" pills? (i know it's racemic and the crystal is pure d isomer, but still, the active ingredient is d-meth in both in the end). Do you say everybody who was ever prescribed desoxyn ruined their life? There is a very big difference between taking 5-10mg orally, and smoking 100mg shards from a pipe. Look deep into your soul and answer me: you started to use it to get more motivation in a clinically approved way, and ended up robbing houses? Is there any chance you started it to get high because you are liable to substance abuse and then started to chase that high with larger doses and faster ROAs ? Aside from that, i agree that it is a very dangerous substance and it ruins millions of lives, anon probably shouldn't take it, because here in this undermotivated depressed introverted community, there is a very good chance most anons are liable to substance abuse and couldn't stop at the right time.

i'm a fairly experienced user, here's what i've found:
1) the most economical way to buy phenibut is in powder form. liftmode and nootropics depot are both good
2) to take the powder, you can either buy empty capsules and fill them or wrap the powder in toilet paper or rolling papers (parachuting) and swallow it like a tablet
3) a good starter dose is ~400mg. phenibut is quirky when it comes to dosing, so play around to see what works for you.
4) take it with caffeine, on an empty stomach
5) i try not to take phenibut more than one day in a row or more than 2 times a week. tolerance builds quickly and some people become addicted (although I haven't had a problem with this)
6) phenibut comes on slowly (2+hrs for me), comes down slowly(~14h total duration for me) and can be very subtle in effect. there's no point in redosing as tolerance builds immediately
7) don't mix phenibut with other GABAergics (benzos, alcohol etc)

any amphetamine derivative will fuarrrk you up. I've tried the adhd scripts and microdosing it straight, as well as modafinil and armodafinil and none of them are worth it in the long run. You'll get a good focussed day out of it but thats possible sober. The come down from any amphetamine based stimulant is fuarrrking awful and will take you to the edge of suicide, and will take months to recover from. The most productive and clear headed I've felt is by getting off all these, and most importantly getting off weed. Do not take meth, its a euphoric. Its addictive as fuarrrk and it rots your brain.
Stop smoking weed, stop taking stimulants, that includes coffee, and chew nicorette gum if you have a nicotine hook. Jog or bike or get get an exercise bike/row machine, you'll notice the difference in energy levels and metal clarity very fast. Eat proper food and get enough sleep. Its boring advice and doesnt sound as cyberpunk as taking pillz but you'll be most healthly happy productive and focused this way. It takes weeks to clear your head from weed if you were smoking it daily for years like me but its worth it. I've never tried microdosing LSD but I would potentially fuarrrk with psychedelics like that

I've been able to maintain a multiple year relationship with adderall where i take it often (0-3 times a week) for a period of about two months and then am off it for the rest of the year. I have comedowns but the effects last for at most a week (that's if i have a multiple day binge). I think it's a matter of dosing appropriately and not making a routine out of it. Probably also depends on neurochemistry

weed is pretty variable. I find that it doesn't affect my attention span or productivity levels if I only smoke at night or in social settings. I don't smoke much any more though because of other effects.
Nanashi No Gombe · 2020-06-15 05:18
I'm waiting on some isopropylphenidate, it should be a fairly weak substitute for methylphenidate which I've always liked better than amphetamines, I've used 2-FMA but even that seemed needlessly potent.
REI MAK · 2020-08-04 07:28
Speaking of using cannabis/phenibut as a substance to help focus, I wanted to inquire on what other downers/depressants you lains believe to help concentration? I derive the thread to this class because in my experience with stimulants/amphetamines, all the relatively common ones ive tried, I find it only accelerating my hyperactivity, and making my energy more spread and concentration non-existent, aswell as its overall effects of increased heartrate, clammy hands, palpitations, etc only heighten my anxiety, and further stray my focus.
I'm looking into trying kratom to see how it feels as light mood/focus regulators, aswell as getting ahold of jack herer/green crack tree strains once my plug reups.
also thank you >>5747 for your guide on this interesting substance, will look into it.
Naomi Nascimento · 2020-08-04 08:21
Don't do drugs for productivity, lain. That's such a slave mentality thing to do.
I'm a hypocrite, of course: I've done it on occasion. The truth I've found is it produces very mediocre work. It can make you laser-focused and stay that way for a good time, you produce a lot of volume... but the blinders also make the output bizarrely narrow-minded and introduces errors. Worse still, it ruins creativity. People like to paint this picture of drugs making you more creative. They usually don't. That happens despite the drugs, and especially a bunch of uppers will make you think you're being creative but afterwards you look back and realize it was all asinine.
If it was just errors from tunnel-vision, I could go back later and do a QC pass. But the way it screws your creativity and causes you get stuck in weird, obsessive tweaker loops makes it unsalvageable. The best way to be productive is with a clear and healthy mind. If you're having issues with a disorder like ADHD, that's maybe a different story. If you're just feeling uninspired, disillusioned, lacking in sleep and physical activity, etc... that's going to take more than some pills and powders to fix. Basically, what this guy says: >>5971
Especially during this quarantine nonsense. Being sedentary is going to do the most damage of all. Make sure you aren't sedentary and having wack sleep and stuff as a result before you start thinking about self-medicating.
Jens Hansen · 2020-08-04 08:29

Look I get what you're saying and I think you're correct in many ways. But some of these do carry a lot of risk of slipping and ruining your agency. Of course we are always ultimately responsible for ourselves, but part of that is knowing which substances might cause you to lose your ability to be responsible anymore. You don't have to think the addicts did nothing wrong, but you should still heed their warnings—if only partially.
And I think that guy would probably be the first to admit it was all his own fault. I don't meet a lot of ex-addicts who fail to be humble about that. They usually know. But still, listen even if you don't ultimately accept.

Just want to chime in on the Phenibut discussion. A word of warning: the withdrawal can be a surprisingly painful experience for some. I've been using it off and on (mostly on) for the last 10 years.
The first 5-6 of those were pretty out of control. What began as a weekly/twice a week dose of 500mg turned into an every other day (every day maybe?) dose of 1-2g, always trying to chase that "magic feeling" it brings. It was a stressful period in my life and I used it as a crutch. Many severe mood swings happened during that period - the off days were sometimes horrific. Loss of any sense of personal worth, loss of interest in anything and everything, absolute negativity. In short, I could have stared at a wall for 12 hours and it wouldn't have bothered me.
I went cold-turkey after a few years of dealing with that. 2 weeks of the darkest depression I've ever experienced followed. But one day, almost instantly it was like a switch flipped in my head and all was good.
These days I'll dose 500mg before a big social gathering or something when it would be beneficial to be more fluid and less inhibited with people. Or maybe in the morning if I had a bad night of sleep to keep my mood up. Ends up being a couple times a month. No issues.
There are some people who report no ill effects even when abusing it harder than I ever did. As always, your mileage may vary, just wanted to share my experience.

aye, melatonin is the best productivity drug. Really the best drug all-around for improving your life and health. A $5 bottle has done more for me than hundreds spent on any stimulant could.
Personally I'm somewhat addicted to caffeine. I need a cup of coffee with breakfast and a few cups of tea to not feel like a slug.
Micro dosing LSD: I did it for most of college. I recommend it because it's so cheap and low-risk. LSD is a surprisingly powerful stimulant, when combined with a decent amount of sleep, a healthy-enough diet, and caffeine it can keep one tireless for basically an entire day. No comedown, no hangover, no physical addiction. Sometimes dose days felt magical, other times it made me jittery, scattered, and anxious, other days nothing happened. Do it as early in the day as possible or else you'll get insomnia. Don't micro-dose tabs, make a vial, it is much easier to accurately dose.
LSD really isn't a 'productivity drug', at least not in the same way as caffeine or adderall. I would compare it to putting on some good music, it can really improve your mood and give you an energy boost but you don't get the laser-focus of adderall. It can be very productive in the sense of improving your life, not necessarily in the sense of doing lots of work. I also recommend taking a macrodose first, otherwise you won't understand what you're dealing with.

I don't find the comedown on modafinil that bad, if you time it right you'll be ready for bed by the time it comes and be fine in the morning. Granted I only take 100-200mg a day sparingly which is enough for me.
Dox · 2020-08-04 22:54
is there any substitute for caffeine that isn't meth related? I can go a day or two without the stuff, but I seriously cannot go more than that, and I've quit smoking nicotine. Coffee doesn't even get me to the point where I wanna work on stuff, just so that my mind isn't in a daze, but my nerves are shot and it also produces a waking tiredness. Maybe I should try it with l-theanine, but it feels like such a bad long-term habit.
Fwiw smoking passionflower quickly in a water pipe and then taking melatonin increases the effectiveness of both, just don't each chocolate or milk or your blood pressure will spike.
Spooky · 2020-08-05 10:21

coffee is the tamest stimulant out there I can pretty much list anything that isn't an amphie to answer the question but that won't be helpful as depending on stims for motivation is the same as using coffee. my reco is to take the withdrawl/low motivation (exercise will greatly help) after that use coffee for when you severely lack sleep.
if you NEED something for work then drink coffee it at least doesn't give you health problems like nicotine provided you don't consume too much

Caffeine doesn't even attempt to deal with the actual causes of tiredness, it just gives you a slight buzz and suppresses drowsiness which doesn't help for the other impacts of sleep deprivation. I find modafinil works for me but depending on the level of tiredness it makes me feel awake and alert but tired in my limbs. It also has massive variance on how much it actually helps people, theres a fairly good spread between the people that it has no impact on to the people to has a massive impact on.

Crash Override · 2020-08-31 09:53
it takes immense either lack of concern or self control for any drug to be productive jn a traditional sense. And usually someone with those characteristics doesn't need it then, or want it.
I could take a stimulant and stay up longer and stay interested longer to get more work done. However why would I do that when I could stay up longer partying, masturbating or having sex, playing video games. The brain eventually realizes if it makes mundane things fun it makes fun things extremely fun. So you have to either be able to push past that which is essentially just an advanced game of how things are without drugs. Work not fun, fun is fun is not all that different from work fun but fun funner. Or you have to be not concerned with fun, purely in pursuit of whatever goal you have. Which in that why do you need a drug to make your work more engaging.
That's very black and white but its always some give and take of that dynamic. Things like psychedelics are as likely to make you not care about productivity as they are to have you engaged in it. The benefit is they may help resolve things about your personal values, issues, identity, etc. Productivity may come as a side effect of those things, if anything itd be missing the point to see it like that.
A capitalist society, which is the only society really in which this goal would exist in or at least be phrased and understood in this context of productivity, is most productive when people arent on drugs while working. In your spare time bets are off, but its unlikely you will find any drug at all to be truly in the long run beneficial to productivity. It may however be beneficial to other things and the resolving of those things might happen to free up more space in your brain.... to be productive!
thats my take and experience. another note, things like acid can be life changing experiences as well as just extremely memorable. As a result people will always chock up their success to it, as well as failures depending on their outlook. Because when you look back on what brought you to your current state, which is also what brought you to your successes if you happen to be successful, you will always attribute it to important events that shaped you. Be that drugs, a near death experience, a family member dying, a partner, whatever it is. Its just as likely without that thing you would have ended up equally as successful or unsuccesful in a different way. Regardless it made you the person you are today, and if that is the person who is successful such as mr steve jobs there, the two become conflated.

This is kind of true.
It’s shocking how close they are. Especially to virgins of both drugs - you’re gonna be bouncing off the walls either way, but even experienced in both, it’s almost hard to distinguish sometimes.
Meth could probably be used just like addy, if it could ever be properly managed. Which I think it could. But it’s a very slippery bitch.
Not that adderall isn’t too, but let’s be clear - they are for sure different. Vanilla amph is more of a kick-in-your-ass, ok let’s do this type of feeling. Meff is like... alright motherfuckers, pepper your angii because we’re about to do EVERYTHING ALL AT ONCE AND IT’S GOING TO BE AWESOME
