Homemade Smokes

ren · 2019-10-25 01:43
Do any Lains have experience in making DIY smokes? This is moreso directed towards alternative herbs, such as lavender and mint, rather than traditional cannabis and tobacco. I want to know if anyone has good or favorite recipes, for example I like a blend of cane sugar-soaked lavender re-dried and put into cigarette rolls. It really helps with calming me down and overall smells and tastes much better than traditional tobacco. If you have any other suggestions, such as good places to get wrapping paper and herbs, that would be great too.

I mix tobbaco and herbs, mint and lavender are recommendable. Obviously nicotine cannot be found elsewhere so you usually mix some, but you dont have to.

>>4576 I will always have no money to try such things but read about wild dagga as a flower petal to throw into whatever you would grind up. >wild dagga >blue lottuce >passion flower I'd do something like that. Passionflower is a mao(i) inhibitor that might make the wild dagga last longer (supposed body high akin to thc). Blue lotus is just a random supposed thing to smoke that cultures liked of which is thought to be a sedative or something. Passionflower is supposed to be a sedative too. Some might also smoke wild lettuce, of which seems to be cheap and easily found. It's mainly an analgesic. Even smoking saint john's wort I think for depression. If not I think you can't smoke valerian and people like doing that with saint john if I recall, valerian making you sleep and doing something similar to a benzo but the acid would hurt you to smoke it. Then again I'm not sure if saint john can stand the heat. I've seen on a website wild dagga mixed with passionflower and blue lotus with kr4t0m extract sprayed on it, the partial opioid agonist.

Apparently mullein has some benefits but you can look it up. I enjoyed smoking it anyway. People have blended their tobacco with it when trying to quit the latter, and slowly changed the ratio as a weaning off process.

Salvia, more salvia, even more salvia. Best way to take care of a bad day.

i quit tobacco this year and moved to a lobelia/skullcap/spearmint mix which feels awesome because it's so personal

>>5419 oh while i'm at it, does anyone know about these smokeable seeds? I had them one time from a friend who became an hero so I can't ask. they look similar to fennel seeds but you roll them in joints and they 'refresh your lungs' supposedly, they sort of taste like sage.

I just bought 10 grams of dried wild dagga flowers and 25 grams of dried lavender, going to grind them up and mix them up for cigarettes. any idea what doses/amounts to use per cig? never done this before but i'll post my results here if people want
Zero Cool · 2020-03-11 14:09
>>5421 Are you sure you want to be smoking lavender lainon? I'm no expert but lavender has been known to have hormonal effects. Do your research and stay safe
Turner · 2020-03-11 20:25
>>5422 >Some of the components had varying degrees of estrogenic or anti-androgenic properties i am a tranny thanks lainon but i appreciate the concern :) i also bought cigarette tubes to put them in, never liked pre rolls so id rather smoke from an actual tube
Wintermute · 2020-03-19 20:16
alright so today was my first day doing everything all proper like when it comes to smoking. earlier id tried just packing herbal tea and then green tea into a tube manually, and although the experience wasnt a total loss - the herbal tea (peach and pineapple) burnt pretty much like a normal cig and made me feel calmer, but the green tea didnt burn anywhere near as well (too high water content?). also, they both reeked of weed more than cigarettes which was weird. got the grinder and the cigarette tube filler in the mail this morning and used them. the grinder doesnt grind up the dagga small enough so i think i need to go out and buy a coffee grinder and use that instead, but otherwise ok. the dagga almost fossilised into a hard substance which made ashing the cig difficult (going to assume this is because the pieces were to big). smelled almost exactly like a normal cig, which could be a pro or a con. effect wise the dagga has definitely calmed me quite a bit. took like 1 gram of caffeine in pills earlier and ive been really hyper and just generally high because of that but the dagga just knocked it on its head. next tests will be with the lavender and dagga mixture, dagga when im sober, straight black tea and black tea laced with caffeine and l theanine. look forward to hearing about your experiments and experiences too!
The Oracle · 2020-03-19 21:16
alright so i tried the black tea and... idk first of all it was impossible to use the black tea in the cigarette machine - the grains were tiny and just slipped into the workings of the machine and even when i got it to half work none of the tea would stick together to stay in the cigarette, so i had to pack it in by hand with predictable results. once again the cig hardened when it burned and made it really hard to ash out, idk if other people have this problem but im keen for a fix. in terms of how it felt, idk if its my filters or the tea or what but it was really hard to draw through the cig, barely got any smoke. the taste was ok, smelt very weed-y once again but not a bad thing. guess ill have to buy some loose leaf tea and try with that but this is turning in a much more difficult project than i originally thought it would be lol

>>5422 Smoking lavender will not turn you into a girl, it will however add a very pleasent flavor to tobacco, i can say this much.
Hiro Protagonist · 2020-03-20 00:53
you can try mixing it with changa if you want to die, be reborn in the 17th dimension, become a mushroom, then die again :)

I used to hang mugwort in my window to dry, and bring mugwort-arettes to work. Calming, tasty, but I never got the enhanced dreams people report having.
Agent Smith · 2020-04-01 08:22
Wow. I smoked dagga last night, sitting in my window during lockdown. I expected nothing, just did it to fill in for a cigarette before bed but I ended up sitting in my chair crying to youtube and feeling far too comfortable, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

I've been smoking herbs for a while now, and have a few recipes I like. Pictured is my goto spearmint/lavender 4:1 blend that I smoke daily. Easy smoking, cheap, and calms me down a little bit, though I think that's mostly the deep breaths. Here's a list of additives I throw in from time to time: Mullein leaf, marshmellow leaf, and rosehips are all nicely smokeable and add some flavour but have no effect and are kinda pricey imo Skullcap, mugwort, lobellia, wormwood, green tea (some), and blue lotus petals are some nice "fancy" additives that help me clear my head. St. john's wort, damiana, and dagga all have significant de-stressing properties. I can't always find em, but they're really nice once you find a blend that works for you. Cannabis, molly, salvia, tobacco, coffee, and others also find their way into my darts every now and again. I'd kill for salvia these days, used to love putting a pinch of it with some herbs and weed. And finally, I mostly use regular rolling papers, but there's a time and a place for a blunt. Tobacco, hemp, and palm are the only three wraps I've found to date and I like em all. Hope this helps, can't wait to try some new suggestions

>>5406 >>4576 Also, those mao inhibitors can lead to increasing blood pressure if you have stuff like sour cream, so, beware and settle for the five minute mild high of normal dagga. That's what I'd do, had I money. Then again, the way I dip my burritos in sour cream gratuitously I have hypertension either way. Also, licorice of all things brought my hypertension up one time. I do everything in excess.

Kana + blue lotus is quite nice. However it's a little too mellow so I would like to expand on the mix to increase intensity.

I've read before how smoking herbs is worse than smoking tobacco products in some ways as far as lung health goes due to improper ways it burns and the particle sizw. How does one reverse this where it's no longer worse but same or ideally better?

>>6370 Filtered ciggarette tubes only filter something like 30% of the tar. I suppose I wasn't clear. I meant I wasn't sure what filtering method works best for what plants because the amount of smokability and what compounds are desirable to get through or filter out will vary. >>6371 For the price might as well go a little further and get a dry herb vaporizer.
BloodCat · 2020-08-26 13:16
I really like mixing damiana, blue lotus, and kana (Sceletium tortuosum). It makes for a blissful smoke.
