Darknet markets general
What are darknet markets? Darknet markets are markets operated on hidden networks like tor and i2p that facilitate illegal goods transactions between users. Mostly these illegal goods are drugs and the large majority of markets are on tor. Ordering drugs off of DNMs is SAFER than buying drugs in person once you understand basic OPSEC.
Where can I learn about DNMs?
The DNM Bible (PDF):
http://darknetq7skv7hgo.onion/dnmbible.pdf
Darknetlive (general darknet news):
http://darknetq7skv7hgo.onion
Dread (reddit-style darknet discussion site)
http://dreadditevelidot.onion
The Hub (old school darknet forum):
http://thehub7xbw4dc5r2.onion Onion sites go down a lot, how do I tell if they're up?
Dark.fail (link aggregator and site status checker):
http://darkfailllnkf4vf.onion/ What's the current status of the DNM scene?
Recently, back in late April/early May, Wall Street Market (WSM), the largest market at the time, got taken down after Dream announced it's shutdown. The Majestic Garden (TMG), the largest psychedelics-only market, closed registrations. It is speculated that they will open their doors maybe 6 months after they closed them (i.e. 3 months from now). Dread is the main forum now other than The Hub for discussion of DNMs. But, due to a bug in the tor infrastructure, an easy DOS attack is plaguing dread and some markets with downtime. Just recently, as in a few days ago, Nightmare market has had some severe security issues shown with their accounts system, so it's advised to stay clear of the market indefinitely.

JesusOfRave, long-time psych/MDMA vendor and respected member of the TMG community, has been under some heavy fire recently for dropping out of contact for many months, and after confirming his identity with a few major vendors he failed to make a public announcement explaining what happened.
Trust-In-Us has also gone missing for many months but this is far less unusual.
Basically: acid and molly are probably gonna be more expensive in the coming months

The current meta for obtaining crypto for drug purchases is purchasing a popular coin like bitcoin or litecoin and then converting it into monero. Because of the way monero works, you can simply do:
1. Buy $X of BTC on Coinbase
2. Send BTC from Coinbase to ChangeNow[.]io to convert it to XMR, which is sent to a tor-proxied XMR wallet
3. Send that XMR directly to your vendor or market
OR
4. Send that XMR to xmr.to via tor to convert it to BTC if your vendor or market doesn't take XMR
Boris Grishenko · 2019-07-31 03:02
I've heard word on the street about linkrelated https://opaque.link/post/dropgang/
but I'm doubtful if it's scalable to the level of dnms. worth looking into tho
Jens Hansen · 2019-07-31 14:32
My main advice with using these is watch out for getting phished or scammed. Quite often you get fake links to a spoofed log in page. Then bam all your BTC gone etc. Never got phished but I did have an established vendor decide to cut and run with a load of ppls order crypto for NYE shipments.

Deaddrops are popular in Russia. In Finland where I live most DNM vendors offer deaddrops in the Helsinki area but I think it really requires dense population to be viable. Nationwide here the most popular way is F2F.

JoR (Jesus of Rave) has finally made an announcement on TMG. It's split into multiple posts so bear with me, these are in order.

Dear Gardeners,
Firstly I deeply apologise for our absence and especially that it was so abrupt and unannounced and for the subsequent stress, cost and concern that this has caused.
First order of business is that we are not in possession of any customer information except in _two_ cases. These people know who they are. Apologies to you both for the costs incurred in securing yourselves during this period of no updates. Put another way there were no active orders associated with the prebuy or any other business dealings.
I want to be completely honest, and say that there was a major setback with the op, and we really did not know how to express this to you all right in the middle of such a large scale prebuy, especially when we thought that we were so very close to binging product to market. On a personal level this really took the wind out of my sails and we needed time to think and regroup. The way that this was (not) handled was unkind and unprofessional. Ghosting isn't cool, kids.
In hindsight it was a massive error not to inform anyone of this and we should have at least spoken to active partners that we would be absent for some time while we worked things out. Again, I apologise for this. I apologise to GammaGoblin and Dr_Seuss for the extra grey hairs and also that the church's actions will have had negative consequences in the theories which emerge around disappearances such as this.
We'd like to express no bad feeling or concern with the way that Gamma, Dr_Seuss, TMG Staff or other community members handled this. We would have done similar in the past and would encourage them and others to do the same in similar circumstances in the future.
After some damage control and reassessing the situation, the result is that our timelines are going to set back by at least 3 months, possibly more. In the interest of security I do not want to go into details, but these are issues which have come up within the lab and will take some time to resolve. If there are any chemists out there interested in working on bespoke and novel synths. You know where to find us.
Regarding current investments, our assets are still secure, so this is not an issue which will affect anything other than the inconvenience of waiting much longer than expected. We are really sorry about this.
This is all I can say right now. Thank you for your understanding and for all the kind wishes in this thread. We really do appreciate it.
Lastly, we'll be closing the church hidden service and moving to operating by email only. The Church website will be taken down on the 22nd August so we will be communicating methods to contact us on TMG and The Church News Section soon.

Don't soykaf up the torproject tracker with talk of DNM hidden services, they don't want to hear about that.

The question I have to ask you guys who participate in markets like these is: Is it worth the risk of getting caught or scammed?

Now is not a good time to get into this scene. All the public markets are sketch af and cops are laser-focused on us.
Usually it is not so risky though.

JoR better have some *fire* chems if/when his op is up and running, otherwise he might be disgraced for good.

What do you mean by worth? If you're seeking to maintain the value of your life like some kind of property then I wouldn't suggest doing drugs. As a buyer your main concern should be developing mental/physical illness and/or dying rather than losing a small amount of money to a scam or facing minor legal repercussions.

Getting caught is hard if you do this correctly. But then again doing it correctly is kinda hard. Practice good OPSEC and nothing bad will happen. Domestic orders are very safe. Getting scammed is getting more and more harder too. The biggest way to get scammed is to go onto a market, find a vendor with no feedback and order something without escrow. Most buyers don't do that obviously. The safest option is to use a well respected market (or the one that's the least sketchiest at the time), order from a well respected vendor and always use escrow. If you're dealing with psychedelics, at least from my experience, the best way to get them is on TMG, which is all direct deals through vetted vendors. Best prices and product no doubt, but no escrow.
Overall, I would say the risk of getting caught is lower than irl purchases and the risk of getting scammed is even lower.

>Now is not a good time to get into this scene. All the public markets are sketch af and cops are laser-focused on us.
My advice is to take the time now to learn proper OPSEC while the markets are shaky so when things cool down you'll be ready.
