Is it true that Adderall doesn't work as well if you drink coffee or sodas. I drank 7 star bucks mocha drinks today and I notice that this pill ain't doing jack but making me sleepy

i've definitely noticed that caffeine doesn't play nicely with prescription stims. its not that it doesn't work, but for me it messes with the time it takes me to metabolize the pill and aggravates the come-down effects. recommend you avoid caffeine in quantities over 100mg or so (a cup or two of coffee) when you take stims.

yes and no. it has nothing to do with the caffeine or guarana and more to do with most of those drinks are highly acidic and you want your stomach to be basic as the amphetamine salts absorb better. This is a very simplified cause I dont know much beyond this. I know some acids are converted into bases in your stomach so it can get confusing. However all said if you eat some tums or alka seltzer you can have such drinks and it will increase the effects. Caffeine is a stimulant amphetamine and dex are stimulants, you will be more stimulated. Also imo the tums thing is often reccomended but in my opinion it feels like min maxing in a videogame. Its never had that big of an effect for me and I was a frequent user. Id reccomend saving caffeine and guarana for the comedown though.

my choice stimulant is vyvanse so i cant relate. >wants to be sober but vyvanse is so nice
