Microdosing for the first time?

Undisclosed · 2018-08-21 01:58
Hello friends, I'm sorry if this post is out of place, I couldn't find an LSD thread. I haven't done any drugs in my entire life, but I'm at my wits end. I would like to start microdosing LSD to help me fight my depression, it's becoming unbearable. My only worry is whether I could potentially die or do something stupid since I haven't done LSD in my entire life. I would also like to hear your microdosing stories if you have any. Thanks.

>>2412 I want to consume LSD, but real LSD not the soykaf you find here (I live in a third world country and is impossible find LSD). I found a guy who plant mushrooms but those trash do me nothing.
fsociety · 2018-08-22 18:40
>>2412 LSD won't help you with your depression. Get yourself 5HTP or something that will just boost your serotonin. Microdosing LSD is a meme considering how fast you grow a tolerance for LSD. I mean fuarrrk even 2 beers work better for me than microdosing. On other hand it may be just me. Also while microdosing you're not supposed to trip so nothing bad will happen.

>>2420 You can't really think in terms of recreational doses when discussing microdoses. Even things like tolerance buildup change dramatically depending on the dose. It has to do with the exposure on any given dose. A mega dose will cause tolerance to go up *much* higher than a micro dose. Its likely that microdosing would never go over a certain tolerance and you would be able to attain a level of effects that you can stay at most days. I have never microdosed LSD daily but I have read stories of people that did for months at a time and they say that it the effects stay mostly consistent over time. All this said I don't think microdosing LSD for depression is a good idea.

>>2412 This is not what you asked, but I hope you'll excuse me. If you're merely looking for something to help depression, I think you should look at St. John's Wort, provided you live in the U.S. or another country that sells it over the counter. It's sold as a supplement, but, as I understand it, it's proven to be as effective in the treatment of mild to moderate depression as traditional antidepressants. It sounds like bullsoykaf, but it's apparently true. If you're looking for experience descriptions, I suggest checking Erowid if you haven't yet done so.
Xeno · 2018-08-24 01:59
>>2431 Careful with this though. St. Johns Wort is quite psychoactive for how unregulated it is. It has Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor properties and can cause somewhat severe side effects in some people and potentially serious side effects when taken with certain drugs (Mainly traditional SSRI's or other things that increase serotonin levels). Taking too much can cause symptoms of Serotonin Syndrome to varying degrees (based on your sensitivity/dose). These symptoms include nausea, temperature imbalance (hot/cold flashes), muscle contractions, light sensitivity, blood pressure fluctuations and more. I would also personally question the long term effectiveness of such a treatment for depression. All this said I can't say its an altogether bad idea. There is likely some dose of St. Johns Worst that will help people with no side effects. Start low and work from there.
Drifter · 2018-08-24 05:27
>>2432 Regarding the potential side effects, everything I've ever read indicates that they are the same as potential side effects from SSRIs. Regarding combining them with SSRIs the simple answer is don't. I know people who swear by their St. John's Wort (the initials of which spell something amusing) but it doesn't seem to affect me in any way, pro or con.

microdosing is very good for me. I've been taking a break for the summer, it's fuarrrking great makes almost any day feel great. Don't know how much is placebo and how much is the actual drug. Don't really care. I can definitely feel it on "on" days, there have been a couple times when it was very uncomfortable. Microdosing and drinking a cup of black coffee is almost like snorting a line. The only long-term effects I have noticed: I have a slightly higher tolerance for LSD, THC feels a lot more clear-headed, and my libido is through the fuarrrking roof. I just constantly need to fuarrrk. >>2420 you don't dose every day, you would rapidly gain a tolerance. Once every 3 days is a pretty good medium, I've never gotten any noticeable tolerance.

>>2431 That sounds interesting. How do I take in St John's Wort? I'm not in the usa unfortunately, but I can get hold of the actual plant or whatever.
Zero Cool · 2018-08-25 14:10
>>2453 I doubt I could tell you anything that Google couldn't (no offense intended). That's how I learned about it.
Ivan Petrov · 2018-08-25 18:15
>>2453 If you can harvest the actual plant, great. I don't know what you do next. I used to shoplift the tincture from the hippie grocery store, the bottles are small and concealable. The directions were to put so many drops in a glass of water. You could probably make tea with it. I had a homebrew beer once that used StJW instead of hops.
Terzibashjian · 2018-08-26 05:41
>>2454 Yeah, I guess you're right, no offense taken. >>2458 And id you get a noticeable improvement in your mood? DId you enjoy life a lil more?
Void · 2018-08-26 16:46
>>2473 I don't know if it helped. The first winter I tried it, I had a relatively stress free living situation, no financial worries, plenty of friends (several different groups so I didn't get sick of anyone) and met the girl of my dreams. I thought the tincture was helping but looking back, it was probably that my life didn't blow so hard. The second winter, after weaning off it for summer and starting again, I was back in my hometown and the girl was 3000 miles away. I was increasingly alienated from everyone around me because of complex social BS and I felt no boost at all from the tincture. So I don't know that it helped but I was also very drunk a lot, both times. Side effects: extra sensitivity to sunlight, especially on sunny days with snow on the ground. While weaning off (too quickly to really call it weaning) my ability to concentrate or listen was compromised. I often had to ask people to repeat the last thing they said.

>>2474 PS: People I know who were given SSRIs recount similar experiences.. they thought it was helping, then realized it was placebo. There is no treatment on earth that works for everyone. Everyone responds differently.

Anyone else here micro dose? > What is your dose? > What are your experiences with it? > Do you think it helps you? > For me: Microdosing literally pulled me out of a severe depressive episode and helped me refocus with a more stable and calm mindset. My current dose is: 1/2 cup of a solution containing 1 tab of 200 mics in 4 cups of water. I initially tried 1 cup but it made it harder to focus on academically rigorous material like math, while making falling into the flow of artistic activities like drawing and playing musical instruments easy. I plan on capitalizing on this by water fasting on a 5/2 schedule while drinking black coffee, my micodose solution (every 4th day), and my electrolyte water on a scheduled basis. Why? Because I believe that I can maximize my efficiency derived from microdosing by eliminating the amount of insulin spikes and their resulting effects during the week. Any thoughts on this?
Yu-ichi · 2018-09-29 15:09
>>2638 I've tried but it never really worked out for me. Or I take too much and start having a light trip or I don't feel any effects during the day. I currently do "microdose" amphetamine 5mg almost daily. It does kinda make me feel more focused while on it. I also don't get any tension headaches I normally would get from a ~20mg dose.
Debbie Charteris · 2018-09-29 23:47
25 ug is a lot. In most people that will be a borderline trip. Unless you're not using distilled water or high-proof vodka, in which case you're probably taking iso-LSD. just use a dropper for dosing. Measure how many drops is one milliliter or something. I have mine in a clean e-liquid dropper with 1 drop = ~1 ug. Took me about half an hour to do the whole setup following James Fadiman's guide. I don't think microdosing improves mental performance. It definitely helps with anxiety and makes it easier to just feel mellow and peaceful, and it potentiates other drugs. Kind of like being a little high or a little drunk but without the mental impairment. If you just want to focus and work harder take straight stimulants.

I recommend mushrooms for micro-dose if what you're looking for is therapeutic effect. LSD is just psychadelic candy. Psilocybin is currently showing positive results in research studies on treating depression and substance abuse.
Frank Garza · 2018-11-27 23:59
>>2965 >LSD is just psychedelic candy oh please, you can learn just as much from LSD as mushrooms, if not more
Emmanuel · 2018-11-28 08:31
>>2965 >candy I experienced LSD to be more harsh on my psyche than psilocybin
Chan Siu Ming · 2018-11-28 09:05
>>2971 Literal candy is harder on your body than an apple too.
Mitnick · 2018-11-28 10:22
>>2975 LSD has effect on your dopamine receptors which makes it a light stimulant. Taking that into perspective makes it actually a slightly more dangerous substance if a trip goes bad. Also the LSD happy aura is not always there and I've experienced trips before where it was absent thru the whole trip. Both of those substances can be dangerous if the trip goes ape soykaf. >This isn't 4chan I don't care Stop spreading misinformation!

Tripping very hard once every few months helps me with my depression. I cant say microdosing has done much of anything beyond it makes my thoughts very scattered. Basically all the thought loop stuff that can happen on a big trip happens but in a much more subtle way I cant catch. When I get in a thought loop when im really tripping I know now I just either need to do the thing im thinking about or sit still. But microdosing itd express itself in very subtle ways I couldnt catch until I looked back on it. It made me a bit irritable kind of like the comedown of a stimulant.
Roger Pollack · 2018-11-30 05:24
Chiming in to say do a good dose of mushrooms. In additional to all the medical studies coming out about the effect it has on depression, I've had several close friends tell me their success stories with it.
