>have 30 tabs of acid to burn through >recently have been put on wellbutrin >look up several scholarly articles and safety charts on mixing, most show no effect/less effective >fine >take 300ug, IMMEDIATELY lose my mind as soon as it peaks >literally fuarrrking insane full schizo delusions of grandeur >end up calling 911 and rambling about some bullshit for 10 hours and they send me to hospital to find out i had minor dopamine overdose what the hell man. has anybody else experienced this? ive been terrified to touch acid since and its been like 8 months
Terzibashjian · 2025-11-21 13:17
if you have lots of acid to just "burn through" then you already sound like a spunion retard asking for it. why were you so surprised by this reaction? you took fuarrrking 300 micrograms like yknoe like almost a third of a mg on top of a stimulating psych med with the intention to just trip balls i assume. im sorry but this is retarded, not even bothering halving your doses. you expected it to go the way it origianlly went in your head that it will just will work cause pubmed said no biggie? or was it all just magical thinking on your part?
Debbie Charteris · 2025-11-21 18:29
>mentally unstable enough to be prescribed psych meds >while on a new psych med, take high dose of lsd >experience psychosis give away your lsd. You're not responsible enough for it.

>>19427 300 mics is a huge dose. Been doing acid for 18 years, but never did more than 200 mics. Try doing 100-150 next time.

But did you look up food interactions to see if you ate anything like grapefruit? Also you may have been sensitive to certain medications to begin with. >>19437 It is just an antidepressant. Doctors hand them out like candy.

>>19441 Come on man, you can sugarcoat it all you want, but it's a norepinephrine and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, it's basically like taking acid on a stimulant drug. That soykaf is well known for inducing psychotic episodes. The first ever documented bad trip was by Albert Hofmann taking LSD on amphetamine. The same soykaf happened to you, only bupropion is more sneaky than recreational stimulants, but that's only because of its pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamically there's not much diffrerence between this and methylphenidate.

>>19442 Wellbutrin is basically a "non-narcotic amphetamine substitute" a similar concept to Suboxone for opiates, its the same thing but just a non-narcotic variation. So yea, its not "just an antidepressant" its a non-narcotic stimulant being given to people to make them "less depressed" (whatever the fuarrrk that is supposed to mean). My real question is though, where did you hear that Albert Hoffmann had a bad trip on LSD and amphetamines? Genuinely interested for the sauce on that. >>19443 No

>>19446 From Wikipedia, the parts I found interesting: >LSD at typical recreational doses (~50–250 μg) is considered to be very safe in terms of toxicity, with not a single toxicity-related death having been reported at such doses despite many millions of exposures. In addition, LSD is considered to be a relatively non-toxic drug in overdose. >In one well-known 1974 case series, 8 people accidentally insufflated two "lines" of nearly pure LSD powder that they thought were cocaine. The exact doses of LSD were unknown, but were considered to be massive. For context, a typical "line" of cocaine for insufflation is 50 to 100 mg. To clarify above, that means these people probably snorted approx 1000x a "normal" dose (50,000 - 100,000 μg!) >The individuals reported to the hospital within 10 to 15 minutes, with five of them comatose, three requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation, and the conscious individuals experiencing severe hallucinogenic effects, among other toxic symptoms. All of them completely recovered within 12 hours and there were no deaths. OP is silly for starting with 300μ.

>>19427 BTW consider that welbutrin is one of the drugs that helped destroy my dads life and turn him into a dehumanized husk. Just another bonus warning, this stuff is definitely g0yslop for the soul.

>>19446 >>19447 I can't remember where I heard this but it seemed semi-reliable, like a person giving a presentation somewhere, maybe a LW type rationalist making the case for psychedelic legalization. The case was smugglers of LSD, the drug wrapping burst, released raw crystals into their digestive tract. The doses were also off the wall, I think it was tens of thousands of doses? They were all fine, interlude aside, once they pissed it all out. Gut absorption is probably different from nasal absorption, I would presume slower. Still a lot of doses.

>>19427 >... rambling about some bullshit for 10 hours ... > minor dopamine overdose < what the hell man. has anybody else experienced this? I used to play vidya and drink mugs of coffee... so, I suppose I had the same at some point

>>19453 >>19447 sage b/c offtopic but: for reference, some guys over on the shroomery have done "thrumbprints" and posted about it (stick thumb in powder LSD, lick thumb clean) they estimate it was around 10000x normal dose you can go read their posts if you are interested
Hacker · 2025-11-23 22:12
this thread seems to have become more a cautionary tale against wellbutrin in specific rather than mixing psych medications and hallucinogens

>>19446 >>19447 To add to this. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9963058/ >One of the most extreme cases is that of a 46-year-old woman who snorted 55,000 μg of LSD—275 to 550 times the maximum recommended effective dose—mistaking it for cocaine. The incident had no adverse health consequences. Moreover, she overcame an opiate addiction shortly afterward Big pharma fears what psychedelic legalization will do to their profits from opiates and SSRIs.

Dopamine overdose doesn't mean anything like your imagining it, why are so many people on lainchan little babies when it comes to experience with drugs? From little glitterboys crying about thinking they overdosed on oral super weak wannabe opis like kratom, tobacco threads with little babies finding it hard to quit something you can literally just stop. Meanwhile actual people have benzo, alcohol or opiate addictions
Drifter · 2025-12-18 15:36
>>19591 >why are so many people on lainchan little babies when it comes to experience with drugs? >Meanwhile actual people have benzo, alcohol or opiate addictions be glad, imagine people addicted to "hard" drugs just begging and (schizo)slandering others on here. I'm sure there have been a few people who got loads of experiences, but if you want to talk to them you"ll have to make a thread for them. Also hormones can be cazy terrifying while and after drugs. Imagine something like a MDMA comedown on LSD.
