Been taking prescribed methylphenidate for months. I'm an alcoholic. last weekend's bender's blackout had me crushing and sniffing a days dose (30mg) of it in one (which is a big WHATF for me i need to use every pill of that otherwise im dysfunctional)
Then I go to a different psych after having 4 coffees in a row and say hey...
So now I have multiple benzos (alprazolam 1.5mg, Bromazepam 6mg) + antipsychotic (olanzapine 5mg) now WITH also the ritalin.
So I'm confused. Should I throw everything out and just crack myself a beer?
I dont feel happy, i dont feel euphoric, i just feel ok maybe motivated and i can focus and sometimes i get off balance.
And I am SCARED of addiction, anything you hit at me I'll get addicted or at least dependent on. I read everywhere to stay off benzos. I dont like the antipsychotic and it knocks me down to sleep. Waking up is even harder. I tried sertraline before and it did nothing absolutely nothing

Sounds like a MESS. I heard a doctor recently say there’s a rule of thumb they use that if you’re taking more than 5 things, they’re usually countering each other in some way.
You’re better off taking some psychedelics and ask yourself the hard questions WHY you drink. Or try substituting with suppliments like kratom, kava, and gaba.
Whatever keeps you functional though.

Stick with just the Ritalin and one long acting benzo. If you insist on drinking don't bother taking any of the meds as booze stops Ritalin working properly and you dont wanna add a benzo habit on top of ur drinking.
DO NOT TAKE PSYCHEDELICS IF UR ON AN ANTIPSYCHOTIC.
I have no idea why you are on Ritalin and antipsychotics because psychosis is linked to ur dopaime systems so its bound to make hallucinations worse. Maybe stop the Ritalin and stick to antipsychotics and benzos or booze but not booze+benzos

This is the moment your gonna look back on forever as the time you wish you escaped or the time you did. You had the right idea, throw em out. That stuff is the worst of the worst, especially in combination.

FPBP. I completely agree. Benzos and stimulants is a very very dangerous and problematic combination for just about anyone. You wanna absolutely wreck someones life, get them hooked on stimulants and benzos at the same time.

Not to necro bump but psychosis is a lot more complicated then the (((psychs))) D2 theory. It's a complex interplay of NMDA, Dopamine & K-Opioid - and atleast in my expirience antipsychotics don't really stop psychosis they just make you stupid enough you quit talking as much about your psychotic breakthroughs. With methylphenidate being a reuptake inhibitor as opposed to a releaser and 5mg Zyprexa only causing a 60~% D2 blockade it will still be noticeable on focus/compulsion it just won't be as euphoric/manic
