could schizophrenia be caused by excess dmt in the brain from NDEs
more stressful NDEs could make it worse because of adrenochrome adding to it

this is a pretty vauge question op. do you have any specific examples of this happening or any possible theory of this? like is it a possible cause of people becoming sick? this picture just looks like scribbles to me.

You're right it is interesting. That's why I want to know what op means other than the common nde dmt myth

or reduced number of Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in the brain?

Not likely. The amount of DMT discovered in the body is far too low to even be known to cause hallucinations. Adrenochrome is even less likely since it is purely speculative it may cause hallucinations but this has never been proven even though it can be synthesized in labs and is used as medication. From what I have read schizophrenia is seemingly caused by inflammation in the brain and glutamate toxicity down regulating the NMDA receptors. So this means it is like ketamine or DXM. NMDA receptors has a downstream effect on dopamine. However some theories go further upstream and suggest it is related to the kappa opioid receptors which can effect the NMDA receptors.
