LSD + Sertraline

Hey guys, did you ever do acid while taking sertraline? I started a psychiatric treatmen like two months ago. I only take 50mg per day but they'll probably increase the dose. A month ago I did acid, I'd read that sertraline inhibit lsd effects, so you should increase the dose. Since I had only got one tab, I stop sertraline like 3 days before. Anyway the effect was so much lower than any other one-tab trip, especially the alucinations. I'd like to try taking 2 or 3 tabs, did it worked for somebody?

SSRIs + LSD is a bad idea. Take one or the other, not both.

SSRIs will probably take 2 maybe 3 weeks to flush out of your system, depending on your dose (_not_ recommending you do this, speak to your psychiatrist). Just as a reference, 3 days is not enough. Now here's the bit that really is important. I don't think taking LSD while on antidepressants is a good idea. Any effect you get while on LSD will be decreased significantly by the SSRIs, meaning really it's not worth it to trip while on SSRIs. Even more, by flushing the sertraline out of your system you lose all tolerance to the drug, setting you back therapeutically. So essentially if you are progressing in your treatment and you feel that the sertraline helps you (and even if you don't feel like it does), it is not wise to stop taking them. I'm neither a doctor or a psychiatrist but I have been depressed before. Self treating yourself doesn't always work. Talk to your psychiatrist.

I used to be on 50mg and tripped twice total, was fine, no problems. I currently take 100mg and tripped mildly a month ago, was fine, but was like 2 year old acid so wasn't too powerful.

When i was on sertraline i was able to trip as usual. (usual: 200ug-600ug). I really never experimented low effects or anything. I only separated the trip at least 4 weeks (ok, sometimes only 3... or 2) and all was OK. Maybe your tabs are so weak

I have been taking 200mg of sertraline for over a year now. Now I usually take only half of a tab as a personal preference (I don't like tripping out of the reality). I have not experienced any problems with tripping on LSD or shrooms. Certainly everyones bodies react differently to different situations, but in my case I can't say I've had any problems. Perhaps try candy flipping to get a strong effect if that works for you. One thing I can say for certain is that when you are on treatment you definitely shouldn't stop taking your sertraline. Even skipping a few days is a bad idea. For me sertraline has worked very well and now sometimes forgetting to take it for a day or two or even three days results in emotional behavioral unstability. Taking psychedelics requires peace of mind and stability so if you're not able to trip while on medication you probably should wait until the end of your treatment.

this is a horrible idea please stop you should never lsd + ssri cuz it is asking for serotonin syndrome which is really bad news you could try microdosing shrooms instead of taking meds if ur only taking antidepressants, i noticed low dose shrooms were incredible for antidepressant effects for me at least... tho to be honest you should take any antidepressants if you havent tried eating right / getting in shape and all the life style stuff cuz to be honest what u put into your mind and body has a massive effect on you. its what ur body processes and replenishes itself with, you are what u eat.
