Deliriant experiences

Have you ever taken a deliriant before? What was it like? I have two experiences with them: The first one was when i was high and i took some pills that i confused with something else (cant remember but i think it was something i heard would make me more high) but the pills were actually benadryl. I wasn't as paranoid and psychotic as i thought i would be, but i dont remember much since i was pretty faded. The second one was when i took some nutmeg powder. All i remember was hallucinating, not feeling well, disorganized thoughts.

What the fuarrrk was that? I just wanted to fuarrrking sleep. Holy soykaf. Why the fuarrrk can you buy doxylamine without a prescription? I was completely clueless this drug could cause hallucinations. I've never done drugs recreationally, and I always wondered why some people didn't see the world in a 'rational' way. Now I think I understand a bit more... monsters can be seen. I don't even know how to describe some of the things I thought I saw. Floating, grotesque flesh bags that sucked that sucked something out of you. The more mundane were hallucinations of glassy centipedes crawling over every surface. My skin being covered in small spider like creatures... just wtf. I'm taking other medications for 'mental illness', so I don't know if it was the doxylamine, but it's opened a whole world of things I just could not believe people really thought they saw. God does not exist. I'm grateful I was able to remain somehow detached and calm, believing these to really be delusions regardless of how real they seemed. It's put my suicidal ideation in a new light. I'm scared now. I'm scared death is not a blank, not an end.

I'm thinking about abusing Mirtazapine. Maybe I will try taking 130mg? >https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Mirtazapine

>>16530 prepare to have the wildest dreams. i've never done a big dose, highest was 60mg. i thought i was in my dad's house, i even yelled for him in my "sleep" cause i thought he shouted on me. granted this only double theraputic dosage but on a bigger dose i could see one just falling asleep and having a 12 hour dream or something. someone said it had "computer-like" cevs for them

>>16528 sometimes i wonder how peole reacted to taking too much stuff like doxylamine or dph way before it was known it causes full blown delirium. same with dxm, normal people with coughs just accidently dosing into hypomania and being like wtf!? when it wore off. >i just wanted to fuarrrking sleep i don't know how many times i said this the next day after gambling with supplements and drugs to get fuarrrking slept.

>>16528 >>16535 forgot to ask you what meds did you take along with it and how much doxylamine? doxylamine is one of the less visual dels compared to dph or datura iirc did your accidental experience feel it's made you more or less of a skeptical person now?

>>16536 Less visual? That's interesting. I think I have aphantasia. So, any boost to my ability to visualize things mentally is a god-send. It was so nice to close my eyes and be able to imagine things in a tangible visual way. I wish I could do that all the time to be honest. The hallucinations with eyes open is problematic though... I'm also taking an antiepileptic, a SSRI and a beta-blocker. I doubt those really had much of an effect. I don't think it's really affected my orientation in any meaningful way. It just given me more empathy for those that genuinely believe some batshit crazy things. As more time passes the incident feels less "real", less meaningful.

Took 150mg of doxylamine. Trying to intentionally hallucinate. I can't recall how much I took last time that resulted in me seeing things. I've taken a few hours before the 150mg dose, and it apparently stays in your system for over 10 hours. So maybe I'm up a total of 225mg? I'm not sure. Anyway, one thing to note is that it definitely does not make me sleepy/tired. Anyone more familiar with doxylamine and the doses needed to bring about hallucinations?

Ive taken a lot of drugs even meth and crack but my only delerient experience is also with benadryl and I guess ambien? I know its classified as something else like a hypnotic but the experience was similar to my benadryl one cause I took above a normal amount and stayed up (intentionally). I never disliked the experience like some do but the idea of it is too scary for me. I have some dried datura pods but would never, its more just like a novelty. With both benadryl and the ambien it was like I was dreaming while awake, id think I was holding a glass of water and then id spill it feel wet and start cleaning it up and then like as if life was a jumpcut return to me just sitting there with my arm out. On the ambien I actually had a boxing match on the floor, I thought I was really in like a ring having the fight of my life it was really fun and suddenly reality just jump cuts and im punching the air with my roomate at the time standing over me like what are you doing. Ive never had like spiders crawl all over me or anything I think with benadryl I had moments where because it makes me itchy I thought a centipede was crawling in my shirt and i like flung my shirt off to check but even though im terrified of bugs it didnt turn the whole experience into a nightmare or anything I just moved on to some other weird hallucination. I have nightmares fairly frequently and dont really find them traumatic its sort of like a rush for me when I wake up and this sense of thank god that wasnt real, and usually they arent just overwhelmingly mind breakingly scary its like a long sustained fear or stress thats out of my control I have to sort through. Because of this weird "snap back" phenomenen I experienced with benadryl and the ambien it really wasnt that traumatic, but the fact that i was moving and doing things while in these imagined scenarios or experiences is just a little too frightening to me to ever do it again or try something more intense in that category. Too scared of like deciding in a daze to step outside and then attack a random person on the street or something.
