Naturally high opiate tolerance?

Nguoi La · 2024-02-02 13:40
To preface this, I know that I am a complete retard, and experimenting opioids is essentially like playing with fire. However, I feel like my life is kinda fuarrrked already, so may as well try it anyway. Recently, I came into some possession of codeine by legitimate need but then forgot about it once that need had passed. Then, later on, I got curious and wanted to try it recreationally. The first time, I did about 90mg without prior tolerance on an empty stomach, and I found myself underwhelmed by the experience. I felt mild warmness, and that was it. There was no nausea nor itchiness. There was not any sense of peace or any of the extra psychological things that other people mention in their experiences. My suspicion is that I do not properly metabolize codeine. I think I am a poor metabolizer of CYP2D6. Later in the week, I found some 7 year old hydrocodone 10-325's in the closet and decided to wait a week to try them. Something I read said that the same enzymes for codeine were used to metabolize hydrocodone. Based on my theory, I decided to be more bold and try 20mg, which was a dumb idea. I didn't start to see any effects until about an hour in, and they were rather subtle effects. I only felt weak, transient warmth that'd come and go; it was not persistent like the warmth I experienced with codeine. There were no psychological effects, and there was no euphoria. I only felt dizzy and really sleepy like I hadn't slept enough. In addition, there was only slight itching. When I did lay down and shut my eyes, I'd see transient images that would go away once I opened my eyes. Eventually I made the mistake of eating a little bit, which made me nauseous, and threw up a couple of times. It made me feel crappy. I was left sorely disappointed, and I was surprised I felt as few effects I did on a higher dose for a beginner. However, when I finally did go to sleep, I had some deep and vivid dreams and got some of the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. I wasn't really left with strong aftereffects; only a vague sense of well-being that has now passed. I wonder if it had anything to do with potency loss because of the age, or if just my body doesn't process opioids well. Overall, I don't understand how people can get addicted to this stuff, and I'm never touching this soykaf again. Has anyone had a similar experience? Let's discuss how different drugs affect different bodies.

>>14723 Stomach content is a huge factor. Take hydrocodone or codeine CWE on an empty stomach for proper effect. Btw you do not want to be addicted, it’s hell.
Lady Jessica · 2024-02-02 23:47
>>14725 Took both on empty stomach both times. The second time, I only had something small about an hour and a half in.

>>14728 *how opi was bunk Tldr but guys i read on some drugs forum back in 2011 explained this to a noob and it made a heap of sense why I didn't get the Euphoria first time round

I'm the same way. I used to have a bunch of junkie friends so I tried everything from codeine to heroin to oxymorphone and my experience with opiates is always mediocre at best. Dizzy, sleepy, sick, and not euphoric. It's kind of a bummer to learn you are opiate resistant but I try to see it as a blessing in disguise. I don't think it's due to the lack of the sacred enzyme (because my body is super good at metabolizing DXM into DXO) but there is certainly some biological factor contributing. Interestingly, the way I feel on a DXM afterglow sounds remarkably similar to how people describe their pleasant opiate experiences. Is that how it is with you?

>>14728 That is interesting. I didn't consider that. I've got 120mg left, and that might do the trick. The acetominophen would be about 1200mg; not sure if I should CWE it or just take it with a gram or two of NAC since it's only slightly above what you should take in a single dose (wouldn't go above that) and something I read said you lose about 20-40% of codeine during the extraction process. I think part of the problem, because I didn't feel the full effects I wanted, was that I initally took 60mg, but I re-dosed about an hour in. Something I read said that re-dosing doesn't do soykaf. >>14730 >I don't think it's due to the lack of the sacred enzyme (because my body is super good at metabolizing DXM into DXO) but there is certainly some biological factor contributing. Actually, I didn't know the enzyme also delt with DXM, as well. I actually don't know because I haven't tried DXM before, but it's on my list of things to try. I will have to see how it impacts me once I try it. As for biological factors, it could also be something stomach related? I don't know, I'm just pulling soykaf out of my ass. >t's kind of a bummer to learn you are opiate resistant but I try to see it as a blessing in disguise. yup, likely no heroin junkie arc for me lel. It'd be neat to see a study on liver enyzmes and addiction for different drugs.

My experience with fentanyl heroin was similar to this. I had snorted about 50mg without tolerance, and didn't feel much from it. I had an incredibly hard time maintaining my breathing, my pupils were pinpoint, and I felt like I was sick. Towards the end I got some very pleasant nods, a wonderful warmth, but it was very short lived, not very strong. It left me with an itch to return to it, even though it just created an intense suffering for me. That being said, I never did it again. I don't see how people find it addictive, much like you. I guess for me my DOC will always be meth. Even though it has always made me a psychotic mess. Oh, and I did get itchy, but I never puked. I didn't even get nausea. Just a hard time breathing (very hard) I've taken it as a blessing in disguise - everyone I know says I should've certainly died taking that much fentanyl, that I shouldn't be alive, that I should've passed out immediately, turned blue and died. I really don't see the appeal of opiates - even before doing opiates, I always shunned them in principle, why would you want to do something that makes you unproductive? Glad to be sober now, still come here for the discussion. I'm sure one day long from now I will return, as is the usual fate for people like me.

>>14750 >I said "I took 3 times" I meant one dose day after then another the next day. Seems like a really good way to become physically addicted. >>14751 >I'll give a quick heads up on nac, it may kill Euphoria of drugs due to it modulating effect on glutamate (endogenous arousel chemical) however it works 100% for restoring gluthione lost by apap or alcohol use That makes sense; I've tried NAC for other reasons, but it never had any psychological effects on me. I went ahead and took the 120mg of codeine today in one go with 1g of NAC, which I am going to re-dose soon, according to >>14750's recommendations. I experienced more psychological effects. I mainly felt warmth in the beginning, which was not as pronounced as the first time. Then, I went on to feel like I was in a great mood, and that's it. This time, I was slightly itchy, and there was nausea - but only subtle nausea compared to what I felt on the hydrocodone. Overall, pretty lame, and I guess this is the official end of my experimentation with opioids. I probably should have had some grapefruit juice or diphenhydramine to potentiate it. The high did not last very long (about 3 to 3.5 hours, I guess,) and most of the effects have faded by now. I'm quite hungry but nauseous at the same, but I'm afraid to eat because eating last time on the hydro is what caused me to start spewing. I feel somewhat tired and icky at the moment. I'll take another gram of NAC and see how I feel then.

I can't recall clearly since it was a long time ago now but I once was given hydrocodone for a cough I think it was only 5mg pills with 325mg acetaminophen so I think I may have taken three pills totaling 15mg which I didnt dare go beyond to not fuarrrk up my renal system but I felt literally nothing. It didnt help the cough, I didnt feel pain relief from a mild chronic pain I have, I didnt have any change to my respiration, no change to my pupils and certainly no euphoria if anything i felt slightly agitated.

>>14778 As an update to my post, I took the NAC and ate some gentle foods, and the nausea went away only briefly. Ended up dry-heaving a couple of times but not puking. Had a 30 minute nap and then was pretty much normal again. Something I forgot to add on the effects was that I felt particularly energetic, but it was an oddly blunted energetic-ness. Hope I didn't fugg up my liver too bad.

>>14723 Wow, what a relatable thread. I, too, am in the process of going down the opiate blackhole due to personal life matters, and I also seem to have a strong conscience about getting addicted. It sounds and looks scary as fuarrrk. You're saying in the end you'll never touch that soykaf again, but you unconsicously have unlocked a new secret. Opioids will apply a fleeting fix to your pains, physical or mental, or at least that's my experience. What I mean to suggest is that you've a bigger responsibility on yourself now that you know what it is, what it feels like, and how it can be used to cheat away from life. I have a friend who's up there in heaven now who also didn't process codeine quite effectively, probably due to that thing you talked about, the enzyme that doesn't effectively process those drugs. Actually, he was the first one to talk to me about it. But I don't have that problem. However, from what I saw in our codeine nights, he always had to sip the fuarrrk out of those bottles, or it just wouldn't hit the spot. For me, I can get extremely high with a not-so-huge dosage. None of this means the drug readily exits your system since it didn't cause the high you wanted. Be careful. I've been tinkering with oxycodone that I sort of inherited from my bro in order to deal with my silly little mind of mine. Just like you said, it is like playing with fire, and I can feel it just like that. Ever since, when I go to work, I have this huge desire to get home and snort train tracks of the stuff. Next-day responsibilities and fear of letting certain things go in favour of drugs are doing a huge part in keeping me sober, though. Even though there's not a lot for me to hope for, (I'm not here bitching about it) I guess the amount of information and second-hand experiences we might have regarding opiates are valuable in the sense that we are sensitive to the destruction it eventually leads to. But I know that as soon as the fog dims these few stars I look up to, I'll be disoriented enough to not care and find peace with them. It is good to have a backup plan init?

>>14796 >Opioids will apply a fleeting fix to your pains, physical or mental, or at least that's my experience. That wasn't my experience. I think my anhedonia is so severe that not even drugs can touch it. All of my senses I have has been dulled to the point of eternity, and nothing seems to have an impact on it. There is just a very shallow depth to which I experience the world just compared to previous times in my life. I genuinely wonder if something is defunct in my brain that is causing certain chemicals to be less present or something along the lines of that. >Ever since, when I go to work, I have this huge desire to get home and snort train tracks of the stuff. The stuff I took wasn't near as strong, and I oddly haven't experienced a desire to take it again. When the word "hydrocodone" comes to mind, I immediately think of the nausea and discomfort I experienced and feel an immense repulsion. But, I am still left with a lingering curiosity about other opioids. At the same time, it's expensive as fuarrrk (factoring in the need for fent tests and related soykaf) and it's risky as fuarrrk considering how much soykaf is cut with fent, and I don't have adequate social skills nor a social network to come across it anyway. I'm too stingy and jewish for this soykaf, man. >Next-day responsibilities and fear of letting certain things go in favour of drugs are doing a huge part in keeping me sober, though. Ah, yes, simply not having time to mess around with it is what is also keeping me from pursuing this stuff further. But to add what to what you're saying, in a more general manner, is that it's bizarre to think that your exact chain of actions are what have led to the beginning of a long-term addiction for others.
