five panel tests and PST

Spooky · 2023-12-22 11:37
I want to preface this by saying I am not just lazily asking this without trying to answer the question for myself first. The problem is that poppy seed tea is a very niche drug so trying to find specific factual information about this stuff, specifically as it pertains to generic urine analysis tests for employment in the US, is kinda hard. here is what I know >PST=morphine, thebaine, codeine, papaverine, and noscapine (psychoactive elements). Its an opiate salad so it will definitely cause one to pee hot on a test. >morphine: can come up on test 3 days after usage (website did not specify if this was IV usage or other) >codeine: can cause you to piss hot 48 hours after usage or apparently even a week later with "chronic usage" (???) >thebaine, papaverine, and noscapine can cause you test hot, but beyond that I couldn't figure out for how long. what I don't know is this: assuming the tea is not completely bunk (ie: a person with a novice tolerance can catch a nod on a medium amount) how long can it show up on a piss test considering the route of administration, amount and variety of psychoactives, and my incomplete knowledge of how long thebaine, papaverine, and noscapine show up on pee tests? I need to know this because I have a job interview probably after Christmas (could be as early as dec 26th or until after new years day). I recently found this out today and the last time I had some tea was yesterday (which is also the first time I've had some since my birthday back in april). the urine test is apparently part of the job interview process (elite company, very hard-ass rules because the guy who runs it is some weird mormon dude). And yes I know this stuff is dangerous I've been doing it on and off for years and I know potency varies wildly (which is why you always sip this stuff slowly, a little bit at a time, and wait a couple minutes for it to kick in). help an anon out.

>>14601 I was on poppy tea for a decade and had a lot of experience with drug tests during that period. 99% chance it wont last longer than a week in your system, anything less than that is a gamble.

All you can do is drink enough fluids and drink some coffee to act as a diuretic to make you piss more frequently. Also stop just making poppy tea normal way you can fatally OD on accident easily. Only possible way around that is less risky is if one were to boil off the water and measure dosage by dry weight. I dont know why that isnt something people do.
Masami Eiri · 2023-12-24 12:03
>>14610 Shows how much you know. Doing this method would be no safer because even raw opium can vary drastically in potency depending on strain. Also depending on how you made the tea it may have more or less oils and non actives extracted from the seeds. Also depending on how much (if any) lemon/lime juice or citric acid you put in will effect it. There is no "safe" way to do poppy tea. I drank pods and seeds for ten years straight and im telling you its a real gamble with this stuff.

>>14611 I never said it was "safe". Let me clarify. It will depend on the species of poppy as to the ratio of alkaloids but if someone is taking as big a risk as making poppy tea even if boiling off the water one must go by theoretical worst case ratios. Of course this isn't exactly easy to figure out because the different alkaloids do different things but logically it makes sense to assume worst case theoretical ratio, by theoretical I mean something way more dangerous than any ratios seen in scientific papers. I'm not recommending someone make poppy tea but they will do it anyway despite warnings and all the people that die from it so why not try to improve methods to be slightly better? Are you concerned more people will do it and the methods wont be effective enough to offset this increase in use? That the different effects of each alkaloid would be too much an obstacle for this even to be possible because someone may still dose larger because they arent feeling an effect they desire ? Of course I'm not taking it lightly where I will just make something up entirely but some of this is common sense. Im not falsely claiming to be well experienced either. I am unfamiliar with the citric acid in this use as I have not partaken, is that supposed to reduce the non analgesic alkaloids such as thebaine by converting their chemical structure through decarboxylation into codeine in that instance, similar to what occurs with when fly agaric where some of the ibotenic acid converts to muscimol ?

>>14615 Your suggestion to boil the water off does not help. Low dosing and testing every batch carefully is all that works. Also staggering the dosage can help as well.
Special Agent Bob · 2023-12-24 19:58
>>14615 And why are you trying to act like you can use fancy terms that seem on the surface to express that you have some sense of an awareness of chemistry, only to end your post with the proof that you do not even know something as basic as citiric acid converting alkaloids into a citrate salt form and thus making them more water soluble and also more rapidly available through the digestive tract? I appreciate you "trying" to help, but seriously you just fell flat on your face, and when it comes to something like poppy tea the less people do that the better. I had to do ibogaine to get off it but at the end of the day I do not want it to be illegal and giving people garbage advice on it helps people to make it illegal because it helps people to think they can use it safely or accurately. The stuff feels almost the same as shooting up heroin or morphine and its extremely addictive, we do not need idiots like I once was experimenting with this stuff anymore than they already are because people are talking about it like idiots online.

>>14617 I havent had chance to learn chemistry in depth and have to pick up pieces at a time so I was just asking the purpose and mechanism behind it and just was taking a guess from limited knowledge what it might be for while asking as a way to prompt a detailed response. Fact it was formed as a question should have made anyone reading know to not assume it is true. Reason i assumed that is since thebaine causes convulsions at high enough doses which is part of why poppy tea is so dangerous so i figured there should be a method to reduce it just not sure what that method would be. So it was a reasonable guess to make. >The stuff feels almost the same as shooting up heroin or morphine Considering it has morphine in it that should be no surprise.
Motoko Kusanagi · 2023-12-25 07:14
>>14619 There is actually no method to reduce it other than taking small doses and not using strains which are high in thebaine content. Citric acid or boiling off the water does not reduce thebaine. To further prove I really did do opium for a decade straight I will relay something I have heard which supposedly does indeed reduce thebaine though, which was the "roasting" or "cooking" process they would often put raw opium through in the days of old in order for people to vaporize it, but that has absolutely nothing to do with poppy tea.

>>14617 >we do not need idiots like I once was experimenting with this stuff anymore than they already are because people are talking about it like idiots online. I think PST is basically an open secret amongst anyone who isn't terrified of opiates/opioids already. the regular kids who only smoke weed and do psychs don't know about lainchan and judging by how slow this board is I don't think the OP is exactly letting the cat out of the bag. remember there was an open PST general on 420chan for YEARS and the stuff is still niche relative to even ketamine and stuff.
Neuromancer · 2023-12-25 17:35
>>14622 it is an open secret, lets not make it any more so than it used to be.
Yamaoto Toshi · 2023-12-25 17:37
>>14623 for sure. I am not trying to get more people, especially younger folks, on this stuff or anything. I also appreciate your insistence on safety.
Tank · 2023-12-25 17:50
>>14624 How many years you been on junk? I am a few days away from 19 months clean after 10 years of addiction. Shooting H and poppy tea was my main thangs.
Joe Bloggs · 2023-12-25 18:00
>>14625 I've known about and done PST from my older brother (who was a smack user and 420chan guy) since like 2008. I've done Rx painkillers (hydros and oxys) but never heroin because I was terrified of needles and even if we were talking about just snorting the stuff I never wanted to have to deal with hood dealers regardless. I'm not even saying that in a racist or anti-poor people way but the only people who sold H in my town were scary people who I didn't feel like messing with. I especially don't want anything to do with H nowadays because its all fent in the good ol USA. I got on the stuff in the first place because I had a fuarrrked up childhood. definitely not the type of drug you talk about at a party or with well adjusted folks.
Cereal Killer · 2023-12-25 18:04
>>14626 Damn bro if you been on junk for 15 years you really should hop off. Look into doing ibogaine detox. It was the only thing that ever worked for me.
Debbie Charteris · 2023-12-26 11:32
>>14620 I never said boiling off the water might let alone would reduce thebaine. What it does is eliminate one issue with poppy tea the highly varying total amount of alkaloids present on the seeds. It does not solve issue of thebaine content among the concentration of alkaloids. I did some digging and couldnt find a simple way to reduce thebaine just a multi step process involving ethylene glycol (used in old more toxic antifreeze) and palladium which likely no amateur should attempt even if they could get ahold of palladium because they wouldnt know how to purify end result from the toxic components even if it somehow was a success on a slim chance and even then the process might also change the other alkaloids in some negative way.
Haruyoshi · 2023-12-26 11:41
>>14632 >What it does is eliminate one issue with poppy tea the highly varying total amount of alkaloids present on the seeds Hot spots that you are referring to are only an issue in incredibly large batches or seeds or with pods, thats why its best to mix the seeds together thoroughly or to grind all the pods into a powder and mix them thoroughly and measure dosages by weight. You may be thinking that evaporated tea would just come out to raw O and that because of that it would be safer to gauge dosage, but unfortunately due to the inactive oils and the huge variance on alkaloid content by strain its not going to evaporate down to a form that can be dosed as safely as raw latex.
Dujour · 2023-12-26 12:42
>>14633 I did manage to find a paper citing a small animal study that thebaine may be more toxic than morphine. So I'm thinking even if someone assumes 100% of the alkaloids were morphine that wouldn't work for proper dosing since that ignores the thread of thebaine levels which may be part of why overdosing is so common. So one would have to find the hypothetical maximum possible thebaine percentage which will depend on strain of poppy seeds used (but contamination is always possible) and how much comes off the seeds during hot water extraction and also one would have to figure out the human dosage where it can cause hospitalization or death. One would have to always assume levels higher than any study. Again Im not really encouraging people to do poppy tea but some already are addicted to it so might as well be helpful in trying to at least slightly reduce risks. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/15563650.2023.2274218

>>14635 kudos for your research fren, youve actually posted new material on several things ill cop to not having known before and I have read a lot of books on opium and its derivatives. did you happen to stumble upon the research we did back on 420chan about how it way proven that the entourage effect of all the alkaloids (some of which are speculated to still be unknown compounds in minute fractions) caused a drastic increase in potency and that it also caused a drastic increase in half life vs just morph and cod alone? Interesting stuff. They called it Gods Medicine for a reason. Thats a huge part though of why thebaine causes overdoses, cause of what im saying. But also there are some seeds that have gone around in the past which were especially thebaine high and some people got sick. Always been a super interesting subject, opium, its supposedly one of the first psychoactive plants ever to be used by man and is widely believed to be the first one that was intentionally cultivated. Also Morph was the first alkaloid to be isolated and brought to public light (im of a questioning belief that possibly alkaloids were isolated earlier in history but this is not a matter of recognized public record). The modern invention of the hypodermic syringe was to administer Morphine.

>>14638 No I didnt come across that but if that were the case it could be from certain receptors being activated that are modulating other receptors responses or it could be from different receptors being effected that have similar effects to eachother giving an accumulative effect.
