How does one differentiate between psychedelic epiphany, psychedelic delusion, mental illness, and legit divine revelation?
My waifu was born and raised in a godless home - Has always been and remains staunchly atheistic.
She started smoking weed at a relatively young age which may have led to developing symptoms of if not full blown Schizoid Personality Disorder. (Thus far only self diagnosed, but all reading coincides and seems to support this.)
LSD use as of late has seen her on unpredictable occasion getting inexplicably and unfathomably high - One recent event resulting in a rebirth and breaking through.
She has seen what `gods' there are, how they are, how they work, and what they're trying to do - She has been chosen and wishes to help them.
No one in the real world would suspect this of her, but she obviously can't for good reason just bring it up.
She is fully aware of how.. not normal this all sounds and is, but can't simply shake the things she has learned and been shown and internalized.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom for her?
or perhaps relevant stories from your own lives you would like to share?

I think there's a point where you can't really safely self-diagnose (if you ever can).
Sure her current idea sound weird, but I've heard weirder from life-long sober individuals. I think the important part is more the part where she suddenly changed. That's somewhat more worrying.
Legit divine revelation without external signs would be indistinguishable from delusion or a brainhack, of course.

My rule of thumb has been:
>psychedelic epiphany
You can explain the idea clearly to another human that is sober, and they can understand it and agree with it (or at least acknowledge it as reasonable) readily enough.
>psychedelic delusion
The aforementioned sober human finds the idea incomprehensible or otherwise inaccessible. As you sober up, you too realize the idea is untenable.
>mental illness
You don't realize the delusions mentioned above are untenable as you sober up, or you fight to defend them. Note that re-integration after a trip isn't instant, so it is normal to harbor "delusional" ideas for a while afterwards, so long as you slowly realign them with reality. If it has been a good while since your last use of a substance and you are still having harmful delusions, then you are getting into the realm of mental illness.
I added harmful since plenty of people (including myself) carry plenty of delusions, I'd argue that only once they become problematic and persistent can they be considered indicative of mental illness.
>legit divine revelation
I'm agnostic/atheist, so I file these under either psychedelic delusion or mental illness depending on the amount of time spent harboring them.
I'd recommend your waifu sober up for a good amount of time (at least lay off the psychs/weed/dissociatives/deliriants/stimulants). Downers should be fine, although alcohol can exacerbate certain mental illnesses.
Give it a few months and see if the ideas are still around and seem reasonable to your waifu. If they do, and they aren't hurting anything, then why worry about them.
If the lunar spirit still tells you to go for a campout and pray every weekend, why not.
If the gods of the 8th planar realm are still telling you to start slitting throats, then talk to a shrink.

You too? What do they want from you?

Just ask them "Why does God need a starship?"

this is a good litmus test.
OP, I recommend your waifu try to view her experiences with a critical eye, both during and after a trip. If they make sense, then you may treat it as a legitimate revelation. If they are simple unshakeable absolute TRUTH, be wary. Frequently, psychedelic revelations are not entirely what they seem, and need to be deconstructed before they can be properly understood.
I'd also mention laying off all psychoactive drugs, including THC, until your waifu feels she has a firm grip on reality.

Solid words.
The trouble is, it all makes perfect sense - But of course the one afflicted will think this...
Being the trickster LSD is, it first indeed came as unshakeable absolute truth - But something in the process or since got the attention of some, more insights followed that brought more solid reasonable explanations and a more general picture.
Unfortunately, LSD consumption is a necessary part of the communion, stopping isn't really an option.
As they have no direct control over anything between us they communicate through seemingly random noise in the people, beings, and objects around her - LSD makes her more perceptive of such things and able to interpret them better, perhaps simply by allowing more simultaneous access to more parts of here mind.

Like we bounce light off of things to better gauge the limits and nature of the parts of the world we can interact with, they do so with thoughtstuff - They're trapped too you see, and like us are just trying to figure out where and how we are in the universe.
A small anarchistic faction has arisen hoping psychedelic thoughts will provide new avenues of study.
The extremely short version is simply that my waifu has been called to help supply more of these thoughts and help guide the process from our side as best she can.

For clarity's sake, I am >>1409.
Just going to say that after reading your post you sound more than a few steps off the deep end fellow lain. I'm not saying this to be mean, but out of concern. I hope being blunt will help get this across.
Those entities can wait 6 months, take a break from the acid and let your brain recover.
>they communicate through seemingly random noise
That in particular sounds like classic psychosis / breakdown "speak". Read: a tweaker going on 100+ hours without sleep who thinks the creaking of the floorboards is the CIA watching him sent by satan to steal his soul through the flaking paint on the walls because he just KEEPS SEEING THE SAME DAMN INSECTS EVERYWHERE
Even if you weren't cracking up I'd tell you to take a break; repeated high-dose psychedelic experiences in a short timeframe are a recipe for disaster.
tl;dr give your brain a break lain, the entities can wait 6 months

see, you've fallen into a classic trap: you rationalized the "truth" by following its own logic.
Tell me, if you didn't know these beings existed, would you be able to tell at all? Would this story make sense to you if you'd never believed it? As someone who meets both those criteria, the answer to both is no.
you need a break lain, sounds like you're one large dose away from snapping completely.

That was fanstatically summarized.
I also agree, let your brain take some vacation, it won't complain.
