SUPPLEMENTS FOR ANXIETY

Tomohisa "Tom" Kanezaki · 2023-08-28 10:44
I have anxiety, dpdr, insomnia, and OCD-like bodily hyperawareness. I currently take magnesium, ashwagandha, and L-theanine for anxiety. I've tried taking passionflower, valerian root, and chamomile, but they haven't really helped so I stopped taking them. So far, the only thing that has made a considerable difference is L-theanine. I don't want to take drugs or medication. Are there any supplements that would help?

Just talk down your anxiety. Or pat her on the head and tell her to go back to sleep.

In theory sarcosine may help with It may help depersonalization-derealization, and has some studies support it being useful for OCD. Though im confused what you mean since bodily hyperawareness sounds conflicting with dpdr https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21508860/ Similar substances would be glycine, d-serine, and trimethylglycine. The doses will differ. Ashwagandha can cause blunted emotions which would not do good for the dpdr if you experience that side effect.

Phenibut can be sold as a suppliment and supposedly works like a happy pill for alleviating anxiety (but in reality it is an addictive drug). I haven't tried it myself, but maybe someone else here has? Might be worth a shot.

Have you tried working out? Cardio and such?

Are you actually mentally anxious or do you instead have symptoms like heart palpitations that provoke anxiety? It's possible you have a physical sickness instead of mental. Loss of vision when standing up, blacking out & dissociation, racing heart can be caused by lack of blood in the body. L-theanine is also used to help with blood pressure issues & postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, which is one of the reasons i thought of this. In addition parasite infections mess with the body a lot.

>>13674 That's a good point. People often forget you have to rule out other illnesses before you can make a diagnosis.

>>13670 It really depends on who you are. I don't personally recommend it. Use it once per month at most. The problem is that it decompartmentalizes memory and destructures the mind. Sometimes you were splintered apart for a good reason. And also once you take it and realize you feel normal, it's the beginning of the end.

>Step 1 Gather your thoughts, right now >Step 2 Take a deep breath >Step 3 Exhale slowly >Step 4 Just let go of everything and accept the anxiety don't fight it

>>13673 i lift weights 5 days a week >>13674 I don't have any mental anxiety, it's primarily physical. I do have loss of vision and stuff when standing up, but I got bloodwork done and they said there wasn't anything wrong.

>>13696 Quitting the weightlifting for a bit would probably be better for your anxiety than continuing it, imo. Something like yoga and light walking would be better. Intense exercise is always bad for stress levels.

>>13670 There is one clever trick to check how bad/addictive a drug is. Check how large are online communities of people trying to break the habit. Communities of people fighting with phenibut addiction are humongous. Just go on any forum or even plebbit. On /r/drugs or /r/nootropics you are going to get recommended similar subreddits. The biggest and most recommended is about Phenibut Addiction. Not even adderal or heroin or whatever. I’d recommend staying away from phenibut

>>13674 L theanine is not supposed to be taken as a supplement. Just order very high quality matcha from japanese prefectured obsessed with quality. It is expensive, but it is worth it. There is lots of good stuff in it that synergizes with l-theanine that it contains. It has a surprisingly strong psychoactive effect. I have personally solved my anxiety issues by focusing on it and fully embracing it in meditation. Just sit for 6 hours accepting it and things will start happening with your body and mind. It is tough to sit for so many hours embracing it but if your anxiety is painful, you will be eventually desperate enough to do it. There is also a high chance you have anxiety because you are hiding something from yourself. What are you hiding from yourself, anon? I mean, if there is a woman you felt something for, and wanted to fuarrrk, or go out with, and you did not do it out of your cowardice or whatever, you are going to have your own cells rebel against your being and inflict you with infinite hatred, pain and void for thousands of years, like in the I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream

>>13697 no thanks >>13701 I drink matcha pretty regularly. meditating is really hard for me but I try to every other day. I'm not really sure if there's something I'm hiding from myself, but I'm considering trying shrooms pretty soon so that might provoke some insight?

>>13696 doctors don't usually test for this among other autoimmune disorders. bloodwork can come back fine but it can still be a problem because the issue is the lacking quantity of blood, not the lacking quality. increased electrolytes including salt can potentially help
