Why is it when Choline is blocked from interacting with the Acetylcholine receptor by some sort of drug it causes the most terrifying hallucinations known to man. It causes there to be constant knocking and whispering, clear spiders to form, and the feeling that your going to die. why is it when this receptor is blocked extremely specific things happen to people, like spiders and shadow people to form. Reddit says that the spiders come from the feeling of bugs on the skin.

Acetylcholine is involved in things like regulating heart contractions and the airway contractions which may influence blood oxygen levels, and heartrate so likely it's triggering a panic attack.
