Benzodiazepines

I've been prescribed some benzos for several reasons that i'm not going to mention but i have a problem with this medicine. I have been consuming this Lorazepam for 4 weeks give or take and i didn't have a problem with it until some days later i was self massaging my dick and when i was done i couldn't produce semen for some reason. I thought it was nothing until i tried again the same day and i couldn't do it. I tried again and again and i produced nothing. And i know it's because of this pill because i was fine some days before but now it's worrying my that it can make mr sterile or some soykaf. Does anyone know something about it? >TL;DR: i'm taking lorazepam an can't cum.

just quit that should fix it. dont do benzos they sound fuarrrking terrible.

What you're describing sounds like retrograde ejaculation. It goes away once you stop the medication or switch to an alternative that doesn't cause it for you. If you are using Lorazepam because of panic attacks, you should find a benzo with shorter elimination half-life. I think Wikipedia lists them? I have currently prescription for Valium and Temazepam and I take them only when I need to (about 3 dozes a week max.). Temazepam doesn't cause difficulty cooming the next day if I take it just before going to sleep. I don't know about Valium because I can't remember if/when I have tried cooming after taking it and I use it only before certain social events or if the anxiety gets too bad. You could ask your doc if you can switch to a different kind of benzo (depending on your reason to use them). For example, Temazepam or Imovane (actually, strictly speaking it isn't a benzo but it's very similar drug) works really well for insomnia. Alprazolam is often used for panic attacks. Valium is also very often prescribed for variety of reasons (including anxiety and alcohol withdrawal). Clonazepam is used for seizures or epilepsy because it's long acting benzo. Also, note that both Valium and Clonazepam can cause withdrawal symptoms even 2 days after quitting them (due to the fact that they are long acting). Another "bad" thing about Clonazepam is that it may be hard to notice its effects because it effects usually start slower when compared to other benzos. Also, if you stop taking them suddenly and you have used them regularly at higher dozes, you can get seizures or even die. Also., benzos work really well for bad anxiety or bad insomnia. Are Z-Drugs like Imovane/Zopiclone as bad as "real" benzos? I need to ask my doc for some meds for insomnia.

>>12952 They are as bad in the sense that you shouldn't use them longer than 6 weeks. Hypnotics are the most harmful out of the "benzo spectrum", and Z drugs are not much better. Hypnotic benzos, like flunitrazepam, temazepam, triazolam, etc, became notorious for abuse.

Z-drugs especially zolpidem are a much worse frontal lobe lobotomy (in the sense that all your inhibitions are gone and you do you stupid things with a merry mind) than benzos.

>>12952 They can make you dependent on them and they help you fall asleep but they dont give you quality sleep so it's similar to drinking alcohol before bed. Try and avoid doing too many things from your bed keep it more for sleeping. If you have trouble falling asleep get out of bed and go do something else till you feel like laying back in it again. Dont worry about being able to fall asleep this can keep you awake. Instead lay in bed still with your eyes closed while trying not to fall asleep. You will fall asleep before you know it. Also keep hydrated but dont drink all your fluids before bed for obvious reasons as that can awaken you.

Do not quit benzos cold turkey because it can seriously fuarrrk you up, I know someone who was also on benzos as medication and when they quit the withdrawals left them bedridden for months. You definitely should get off them though, fuarrrk SSRIs and benzodiazepines. There is no need to take them.
