what kind of drugs did the kids at your high school would take? was your first experience with drugs was when you were in high school?

Weed, opiate pills, monster energy drinks, and dip tobacco. Yeah, I'm from the American South lol Everyone always clamored for psychedelics and stimulants, but they were super-rare, bunk, or cut to soykaf. This was like 15 years ago so darknet wasn't a thing yet. Also deliriants and inhalants were more popular than dissociatives (including ketamine) for some weird reason. Fortunately, I was part of a small band of rebels who chugged Robitussin on the reg and DXM is still my favorite drug overall to this day.

Op here. Giving my own anecdote. I started doing drugs on my own sophmore year of HS, which obviously meant DXM since that was the most accessible drug for the average 15 year old and the 'safest' (I heard the claims of shadow people from DPH so it scared the hell out of me) I regularly took robocough/delsym until a friend of mine offered me to split an edible brownie he got from a friend for $10. That was a fun day. That friend began dealing to other kids, and he'd tell me breaking-bad-esque stories of people regularly dealing meth in a specific bathroom. Thought that was cool, but I still never touched meth to this day and I probably won't ever. It's been about 7 years since I was in high school, and I don't do much drugs anymore but when I do I always grab a bottle of cough syrup like >>12082 I unironically believe that other lainon in another thread that said that DXM was spiritual drug with great importance. dissociative are from another world.

I smoked weed in middle school but I was sober in high school. Most people I knew back then just smoked weed or drank alcohol. Some people did steroids. I knew of a few people who took various painkillers, but they got transferred to a different school for "problem" kids. Of course, when the people who conducted anonymous surveys for drug use came around, we'd all lie and claim we'd been doing hard drugs regularly because we thought it was funny to fuarrrk with those surveys.

Haha, that reminds me. My school would put up all these posters around the school, with data taken from an anonymous survey. Apparently 1/3 of those who took the survey admitted to them drinking alcohol underaged at parties. This is obviously a huge fuarrrking statistic and isn't even accounting those who didn't answer honestly (though I'm sure it was cancelled out from those saying that they drinked for the LUL's). The school plastered posters with "Stay in the Majority" with smaller subtext saying "2/3 of students have never took alcohol at parties." Me and my friends would laugh our asses off because the school seemed so proud that 33% of their students get fuarrrked on alcohol regularly.

>>12093 For my school, most of the kids I knew who did this stuff could easily be put in the title of "nerd" or "geek" surprisingly. I didn't know about any one popular doing drugs (or at least they weren't open about it.) Or maybe my school was fuarrrked. My friend who dealed me edibles was an honors student. I guess with so much pressure from those around them, it feels good a little bit to do something you usually wouldn't do.

I think people who are into drugs are mostly on something like 8chan/8kun

I did acid every Friday for about a semester and a half. It really starts to fuarrrk you up after a while and I'm glad I stopped. It did get me into reading proper philosophy, made me a lot more humble, got me working out, and made me start acting in my own best self interests. For about four years after, I was entirely sober. Now the only intoxicants I ever consume are some lower-dose mushrooms, maybe a tab or a half of LSD, or a cigarette from time to time, and I really don't have any desire for anything else.

Coming from a low class family, I never tried drugs until I get into college and started hanging out with upper class kids. From there I had a lot of drug experiences.

Went to highschool from around 2005 to 2011. If drugs were consumed it was mostly tobacco and alcohol, many People also tried weed and thats mostly it. Some rare Entrepreneurs tried Speed, DXM or Mushrooms which we picked from the fields. In the last years of HS legal highs were becoming popular, so some people tried so called "Räuchermischung"(incense mix), as a substitute for Weed. Made some very unfortunate experiences with that stuff myself. I also consumed magic Truffles and Nitrous Oxide once during my HS time but stuff like truffles was hard to come by, some guy on a party smuggled them from the netherlands. First drug experience was Weed i stole from my fathers closet, which was indeed during my HS time. Until now i have consumed nearly everything a human can imagine with a few exceptions. Today in the time of darknet, legal highs and telegram groups i think its way more easy for young adults and children to come by drugs. Also prescription drugs and coke are much more common to be consumed by minors. Im from more rural area of northern Germany btw, the pictures are some of the products of my choice.

If I could hazard a guess, most of the kids who did any sort of drugs in HS smoked weed. Mmmmmmmaybe MDMA but if I'm being honest that one's a reach and I can't tell you for sure because I was the boring sXe kid in HS who didn't - and still hasn't - touched anything harder than alcohol, which I'm not counting since fuarrrking everyone but the most restrained kids in the Catholic school a few klicks away probably tried alcohol at least once. (tobacco doesn't count either. We actually had a smoke pit since this was an alternative school.) Pic unrelated.

Smoked some soykafty weed a few times, and would occasionally drink at parties. But overall I didn't really get into drugs until college.

If you count nicotine, of course kids were smoking cigarettes and sneaking in snuff which was common among the redneck kids. Constantly spitting it in the floor of the classrooms and rubbing it in the carpets with their boots. This was what I saw first. Then slowly you had kids smoking weed and a few trading around mainly hydros as well as some other pills I'm not sure about. This was during my middle school years more so than high school. Which was pretty much more of the same except it also became more common that people would sneak in alcohol in soda bottles mixed or vodka in Sprite bottles, etc. By the time I was a Junior harder drugs were being spotted around such as cocaine and people smoking crack rocks or pills. I didn't experience any drug use until the start of my senior year which I smoked some weed, drank some alcohol, and did a few hydros. I had made friends with a local drug dealer through him needing someone's help with computer skills, video/image editing, and web dev skills. He basically let me get high with him for free for about a good five years. I didn't really like the alcohol or pills. I never did pills again until around a decade later under completely different circumstances. Alcohol was something I rarely ever did and got the point where I physically couldn't tolerate it anymore due to an illness later discovered down the road. It just seemed like those first few years the quality of weed was so damn good. I always was getting extremely high to the point where my perception of reality was altered, obviously not like an hallucinogen but just feeling that stoned. I even had one of those "I'm having a fuarrrking heartattack" highs where I was laughed at for being the newbie smoker. I just look back and laugh about that myself. Obviously after smoking for years a bad trip is pretty fuarrrking rare and not at the point where I can't handle it or freaking out.

my first time smoking weed was in october of my senior year. i had backflipped into a friend group through pure chance (i spent the previous 3 years alone) and we went out into the woods behind the apartment complex one of them lived in and smoked out of an apple. it was just after a heavy rainfall so there were bugs and mosquitos everywhere, but i didn't care because i was so excited. you really know how to take what you can get as a kid. as for everything we took, it was weed, lsd, mdma, lean, and of course tobacco and alcohol... we also did xans at one point but they were fake. i got sick of drugs once i graduated so i've been sober for the last few years but i don't regret that period of my life at all. i need to get back in touch with those guys.

Weed was fairly common among the kids in my school too, but I never tried it. There was a few cigarette smokers one was a girl who had been smoking since she was 12 and had bad skin and sagging cheeks from it. Some guy brought rum in a flask he was drinking off of but I didnt try any to confirm since back then i had no interest in any kind of drug. There was a few stoner guys and girls. I heard of some guys that snorted cocaine off of the urinals. One guy told me he tried meth once. One or two people mentioned mushrooms. One girl supposedly did LSD (could have been NBOMe) and killed her kitten by microwaving it which seemed to be true since she got upset when she was taunted about it. One guy mentioned playing a "game" where everyone drinks a bottle of Nyquil and last person to stay awake gets money from the pile and im surprised none of them died unless it was a version of Nyquil without acetaminophen/paracetamol. I'm not sure what else, nothing fancy back in that time this was before stuff was sold online.

I never did drugs in highschool, the guys who cheated off me in math would talk about weed and mushrooms. One guy got made fun of for immediately eating all his weed after he bought it.

my first drug experience was LSD when i was in seventh grade (i belive this is before freshman for burgers) a lot of the alt kids in eighth grade would gather to trip on it and i got really close to one of them so he sold me a tab. i kept it hidden for about 2 months waiting for the moment to take it and when i did it was a very soft trip. it was alone at my house while my mom and sister were sleeping so it didnt get i didnt get too stimulated by anything since i was trying to keep quiet. i have taken lsd often since then but i can only handle it when im alone, i go quite insane if im with other people so ive done it less and less with time. then by eight grade i tried weed which was the most common drug at school besides alcohol and tobacco. then by the time i was in nineth grade the kids one grade above were really into coke so i tried coke for the first time. once i was in tenth it was pretty common to do coke at parties and sometimes at school. between this time and the next year (eleventh/senior) i tried poppers and started taking it regularly. i think these were all the drugs i tried in hs but i had mates that also tried pills and a few other im not sure about. maybe by eleventh i was given some endi but it wasnt by schoolmates but people i met elsewhere.

This thread is very surprising to me. Some kids in my school did drop out and became junkies eventually, but I have never known about anyone doing drugs while attending my school.

Perhaps that there is a higher stimuli to data manipulation since negative results will be often unable to be published? Are paper retractions also more common in these fields?

Everything, weed, meth, spice, coke, ect. if you could get a hold of it people were doing it. Back at the flop house the only rule was no horse, and fentynal wasn't a thing back in the day

I didn't find out until I was nearly done with HS, but way more people than I ever expected were going to parties and on drugs. it makes sense though because there were a lot of artists, theater kids and hipsters there. besides alcohol, I'd say 70% of my grade and previous one smoked weed and 30-40% were dedicated stoners, even with sports and honor societies on their plates. "spice" the synthetic cannabinoid surprise showed up that year, but made myself and a lot of others sick and was usually only smoked by people on probation or getting regularly tested at work. a lot of people dabbled in hydros and xans, always thought they just had carefree personalities. I found out later that there were a couple circles of heavy dxm and psychedelic users, though mainly using those accursed coricidin pills for dxm. otherwise shrooms, and RCs up until I moved. besides one guy who you'd never expect to be anywhere near crack with his background giving that, meth, pcp, and all the rest a try, no known hard drug use but I'm sure it was happening.2 years later, I had a friend in a different city who always let his younger brother+friends mingle in parties, and it turns out a lot of these preppy white/brown kids are running around with pistols, dealing drugs, robbing each other just to buy fancy car mods and clothes. on coke, adderall, vyvanse, and meth when those ran out. spawning spores and surfing onions. everyone is on acid thanks to DNs. nic and thc vapes have made enforcement nearly impossible in places where searching students is unacceptable.

From what I've seen acid is popular among small groups of people, but most recreational drug users I've met were not acid heads.

Everything you could imagine, it was a rich school. I did some coke and H and of course drank at first, but had some bad experiences (imagine that) and switched to psychedelics (mushrooms, 2ci mostly) and then kinda tapered off and cut out everything. Still drink though

there was a girl in my sophomore year who was in her senior year doing meth, word got out and she transferred, didn't hear anything about her past that. nothing other than that, lots of weed smokers, myself included, and the occasional psychedelic users. my middle school was way worse; lots of opiates and dxm users, it was really easy to get. a few kids had connections to meth dealers, lsd, etc etc, all over the place. once some kid did a perc in class nearly overdosed, heard it was laced.

Senior year. smoked hash and watched The Wall. Left the house to get food and crashed the car. No one got hurt thankfully and the the cops couldn't tell we were high. Still, I learned that day to never drive under the influence.

Ahh, a lot of dxm. An emo chick I liked went yo school all the time on that soykaf. Other than her beibg an outlier it was weed. Me and my friendgorup were the main ones contributing to that population. Yay me on going through parents divorce with an alcoholic Dad for that period. My friend and I smoked percs and snorted them as well as adderal. Mushrooms and LSD were common in that friendgroup. I was in the main drug fiend group, so I don't have outside experience of that. I remember one time I told them about LSA from 4chan threads lmao. We failed to extract it and one of the guys got super pissed and threw a fit. We were able to calm him down by playing Goldeneye and Red Dead Revolver and just chilling, much like I imagine most of us can be happy rn. Being able to relax without drugs. Anyways, that's my highschool drug experience, essentially.
