Holotropic Breathwork, Conscious Hyperventilation?

Heard it from here that this breathing technique has effects like lsd and dmt, sounds interesting, but lowering your body co2 really helps the mind? Thoughts on this?

Shit sounds cool, but I can't really give any particular advice as it isn't something I have done. Sounds like the Wim Hof method which is based off of an yogic 'inner fire' technique. By all accounts it seems like it legit works, and you can probably get similar results from stuff like tantric yoga. https://www.nspirement.com/2020/07/12/igniting-your-inner-fire-the-wim-hof-method.html

When I looked into it before it just sounded like hyperventilating. Your brain knows your co2 levels but it mistakes very low co2 as the same as not getting enough oxygen which is why you can pass out and also for some people triggers panic attacks. >>11829 I don't think it's Wim Hof's breathing. I tried doing his before and if I did it correctly I got the impression his breathing technique is to increase blood flow in etremities.

>>11828 just do yoga everyday bro, it will make you high https://shutupandyoga.com/science-behind-yoga-high/ Kundalini Yoga in particular is compared to DMT. But its weird to me to see those people hyperventilate, i read a book about breath meditation and its about observing your breath and not about controlling it and not about forcing it deep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwNHcR5eUPg

Only time I ever really tried it was during a few Kundalini yoga sessions I had during my Ibogaine and Bufo-Toad Venom opi detox. Pretty interesting stuff and definitely seemed like it has benefits physically and spiritually. Super intense though and can be downright intimidating IME/IMO. Should start researching it more and experimenting with it sometime soon.
