Has anyone considered going into the field of medicine to obtain drugs? This includes becoming a doctor, becoming a pharmacist, creating a pharmacy, etc. What are your thoughts on this? How stupid is this?
Molly Millions · 2022-12-08 12:50
Why would you do something which is immense diffcult AND illegal, as opposed to just illegal? I mean if you were going to become a doctor or pharmacist anyways I guess it would be worth it...

In modern countries, like here in europe, all prescription drugs are labelled with a unique code, and can be followed from the factory line to the exact counter and time at which it was sold to the exact person. No way to stole it as a pharmacist working at a pharmacy IMO. If you are a doctor who cares about patients inside the hospital, and give them drugs to consume inside the hospital, it usually works like this: You wrote the kind of drug and dose on a paper, and the nurses take it out, count it, and give it to the patient, you don't even see the drugs physically. Usually you aren't even trusted with the keys to the drug storage, just because you are a doctor, there are exact number of keys, which has a register: at which time which person kept it on himself. The drug storages are of course using advanced locks and are stuffed with cameras. Lets say, you become a doctor, aka do 5 years of college, then study 4 more years as a practicing doctor studying in the hospital. Then you can actually call yourself a doctor, so you spent 9 years, tens of thousands of euros/dollars, and incredible crazy amount of mental effort. Then you become a pro lockpicker and computer hacker, and steal a fifty dollars worth of pills and get kicked out and prohibited to ever work as a doctor again by court during your trial which can additionally result in serious punishment like prison. I'm not saying this never happened to anyone, that's what being a junkie is about, doing the stupidest soykaf to get high. But i wouldn't recommend it. Altough there is a profession which i know of someone was doing, and was able to obtain CRATES of strong prescription drugs, was literally effortless and never even thought about by anybody, authority or not, to be a risk to work like that. That is the workers in the hazardous waste incinerator. Pills are taken there for being expired, or totally laughable reasons like a bit too pale printing on the box or a missing pill from the bubble foil. So drugs that are totally not ok for the pharmacy or the hospital, but basically have zero problems at all. And the workers steal it from there and sell it. But i'm not totally sure this still works, it was about 10 years ago when this was the situation in my city.

Of course there is a way as a doctor too, which i forgot to mention. You get a "friend", for whom you prescribe the drugs, he buys it and gives it to you. But this is again, one or two bottles of pills per month... laughably large amount of effort for laughable small returns.

Do you think the lawmakers haven't thought of this? Any drug with abuse potential is monitored in the pharmacy, especially opioids. You're not getting any drugs out of the pharmacy without a prescription unless you want to be banished from your job permanently, which by the way in the case of pharmacy takes at least four years of post-college schooling that is retard expensive. Nowadays you have to take pictures of all the pills on a tray that are dispensed to prove you aren't giving too much of a potentially addictive drug.

Why would anyone do that solely to get access? I could understand someone getting into chemistry to make new RCs out of your own desires or making prescription meds for people who cant afford it but becoming a doctor makes no sense.
Unidentified · 2022-12-20 06:24
>>11801 >literally what killed michael jackson I've heard of people becoming pharmacists for fun... You take enough chemistry classes you can cook up a lot of /drug/s
Demeere · 2023-01-18 03:58
Doctors and soykaf have made an oath, it's called the hippocratic oath, if someone wanted to become a medic just to get drugs, that person have 0 honor and could never be trusted for anything, for it is a man without word.
XERXES · 2023-01-24 10:26
>>11973 sure but lol if you think it doesn't happen you're absurdly naive. Ive met people who went into medcine/related fields listing this among their reasons and I dont even know that many medical people. Good to remember, pharamcists frown on doctors perscribing themselves popular recreational drugs, even for 'legitimate reasons'. This has been tested. Better to get your friend to do it for you, but a good way to get doctor friends is to be a doctor yourself.

>>11771 Well I'm studying pharmacy right now. Not to obtain drugs, but more out of interest for drugs. It's much easier to obtain drugs via DW, but I have to say that with the knowledge provided, I can already make most drugs myself. The hard part is finding a good place for a lab and obtaining ingredients.

>>12459 Nice :) >>11771 I'm going to get prescribed benzos and opioids. Does anyone know where to find one of those shifty fellas who will prescribe some to me?

>>11771 >Has anyone considered going into the field of medicine to obtain drugs? This includes becoming a doctor, becoming a pharmacist You and literally thousands of people. This unironically fills at least a 5th of the benches of every pharmacology course. Where do you think black market drugs come from in the first place? It's not just self-taught motherfuckers or Walter White wannabees. People are not even particularly shy about it. My friend's pharmacology Telegram group is named something retarded like "Heroin Heroes" or w/e. Fact of the matter is society needs those brains more than it wants to keep drugs out of people's bloodstreams so the people whose less than pure intentions are enough to keep them motivated and whose minds are reliable enough to actually do the work............. just get in. Mind you it's not exactly as easy as "own a pharmacy and just order soykaf for yourself". You'll want to work in a hospital and divert unused returned pills into something . The chain of custody is paranoid but not paranoid enough to rock the boat while soykaf's perpetually melting down.
Wintermute · 2023-04-17 06:19
you would probably be seen more of a serial killer than a druggie if you got caught
Agent Smith · 2023-04-17 17:56
For diverting drugs, being a nurse seems much better than being a pharmacist. Everything in a pharmacy is counted and especially controlled substances. Nurses are in charge of actually administering drugs, once it's in their hands it's considered "dispensed" and nobody can really be sure what happens to it after that. And obviously hospitals and nursing homes are far less controlled environments than pharmacies. But this is trashy compared to studying chemistry and making the drugs yourself. In general, this is an incredibly dumb idea. You are much more likely to go to jail stealing drugs as a health care worker than just finding a reliable drug dealer. If you aren't cool enough to know where to buy drugs I would work on that first rather than picking your career so you can steal drugs there.

>>12705 on the other hand as a doctor your can just write perscriptions, and can even perscribe things to yourself.
Jim Hilger · 2023-04-18 10:13
>>12706 No, you can't, except in third-world countries where you can just walk up to a pharmacy counter and buy most of the fun drugs, making this whole conversation pointless. In developed countries all controlled substances have to be dispensed by a pharmacist, and the prescriber and recipient are logged in a centralized database. Prescribing yourself drugs is a great way to get your license revoked. To do this you would have to prescribe (very trusted) people the drugs, with complete and believable documentation, and then have them kicked back to you.
Sipho Nkosi · 2023-04-18 10:29
>>12712 >Prescribing yourself drugs is a great way to get your license revoked. probably true for 'controlled substances', less true for other things. get ur doctor buddy to perscribe for oyu and you him and its all more or less ok lol. t. i know some doctors, none are like addicts to this soykaf but they do test out the drugs the hand out and they do this by self perscribing.

I know an anesthetist who has a big stash of ketamine at home, but I doubt she has that job only for this purpose - but who knows

>>11771 I already posted in the "Jobs" thread about this. I can not recommend going anywhere near the Medicine field unless you actually like dealing with patients and have the appropriate personality traits to do so and be happy with it. Even if your ultimate goal is to obtain drugs, it's not worth the pretty much one decade of suffering you'd need to go through to get to the point where you can do that. It's probably easier and healthier for you to become an average druggie with a dealer.
