Am I too mentally ill for psychadelics?

your mileage may vary, I'll respond with my personal take. the anxiety and paranoia I've experienced gets exacerbated by the length of being on a trip, something to think about if anything take into consideration especially the atmosphere of whats happening life wise, with considerable time before hand this: some genuine mindfulness to the atmosphere you feel inside, it'll bring some clarity to that. think like that maslov's hierarchy of needs, get yourself a cozy base, if u have a mellow good tripsitter friend that ur comfortable with that's all the better. someone your comfortable with who understands. someone or those u got that love and trust for.
strong advice more than a light dose I'd advise against regardless.

If you cant control the mindset atleast double control you only take em in the right setting.
Also depends on your level of anxeity and paranoia, you will have to manage a little, but i doubt you get full on psychotic.

You can start with mild doses of psylocybin (1.5 - 2g of dry shrooms) and check out how you feel. I don't know about paranoia, but I have anxiety and shrooms help me a lot with it. Not always during trip at peak, but after that - yes, and it lasts for months.

yes
If you have to ask that question, it is probably better for you to abstain from psychedelics. You are probably not ill though.

You best option might be to try enrolling in a clinical trial
https://clinicaltrials.gov/
Safety guidelines for using psychadelics have been published
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18593734/
https://uploads-ssl.webflow.com/5f7390dfac8708fbb8e78a8c/5fb9d46e9f768480317f3113_HallucinogensGuidelines.pdf
Common exclusion criteria for participating usually include bipolar and schizophrenia including in first degree relatives.
You might also want to check your blood pressure
Psilocybin is being studied as a treatment for anxiety

Is your paranoia a result of your anxiety and actual real world possibilities (e.g fear your friends don't like you, distrust of people because of a fear of being taken advantage of, or reasonable privacy concerns) or is your paranoia based in delusions (e.g. you believe you're being gangstalked, your thoughts are not your own, organizations are conspiring against you, fear your friends are cospiring against you with these organizations, or similar)?
If your paranoia is based in schizophrenic delusions, you should avoid tripping (and any potentially high stress situation) as it may be stressful enough to trigger a schizophrenic break from reality.
If your paranoia is just an extension of your anxiety, then doing psychedelics is probably fine, and may help alleviate your symptoms, but be careful with your dosage and setting so that your anxiety doesn't overshadow the euphoria.
Which psychedelics are you considering?

If you were anything resembling paranoid you wouldn't trust anonymous strangers on a chan with advice about drugs.

No. Don't take a bunch, but explore the bad trip a bit. Get to know your paranoia and anxiety a little better, then return to baseline.
And I doubt you're truly mentally ill. Maybe I'm wrong, but most people aren't. Wanna know the difference between the "mentally ill" and the mentally well? The mentally ill visit a """doctor""" who ALWAYS diagnoses and prescribes something for every patient. Or reads a bunch of nonsense online and self-diagnoses. Much of the theraputic industry is little better than a cult, and has all the same characteristics
>(private confession of shame, love bombing, learning a new lexicon for describing internal state, addiction to drugs which makes you reliant on the cult leader, sexual exploitation, advising to cut off friends and family, proselytizing ("omg I just started therapy and EVERYONE should get therapy!!!")
Everyone is a little anxious and paranoid these days for legitimate, external reasons. This shouldn't be pathologized. Do a sane (1.5g maybe) amount of mushrooms IN NATURE and DURING THE DAY. Don't do it on your couch at night.

I want to do like 300mg of DXM + low dose LSD (like half of tab) when peaking, but there is not a lot of info about this combo (other than psychs+dissos make awesome mix) and i am scared it can cause serotonin syndrome. Thoughts about this mix?

Dissociation is nothing at all like psychosis.
