Shroom discussion

Unspecified · 2022-07-18 05:52
What have been your experiences with psychedelic mushrooms? Have you ever tried to grow them? What do you think about the therapeutic potential of them? Or the spiritual aspect? Personally, I recently took a moderate dose of shrooms and went on a fun trip. Then the next day, I found that I no longer had feelings of brain fog, depression, procrastination, and hopelessness, among other things. This has persisted for a week so far, and I hope it's permanent. I didn't even realize how bad I felt until the shrooms cleared my mind of these feelings. I hope this improvement continues for a good period of time or is permanent. If shrooms are really effective and consistent treatments for psychological problems (I believe they might be, based on both research and my personal experience so far), then it really casts the field of psychiatry in a bad light. People are prescribed a wide range of different pills, often at the same time, and don't see any significant improvement. If they do, they're trapped in a system of paying for the pills to take them every day. In contrast, shrooms seem to have immediate and complete effects, which are persistent for some unknown average period of time-- months or even years. It would prove that the entire edifice of """evidence-based,""" """modern,"""" and """scientific"""" psychiatric medicine is a bourgeois regression compared to knowledge of fungi that has been part of human civilization for thousands of years. If the medical field is suppressing the truth about effective treatments for PTSD, depression, and anxiety, then how about non-psychiatric medicine?

the serotonin pathway is used in the brain for hierarchical structuring and reinforcement. disrupting it temporarily, as with lsd or shrooms, allows information to flow to areas otherwise restricted which allows the brain to settle into a new state afterwards. hence why they can be useful tools if you are stuck in a particular way of thinking such as in depression. (fasting and sleep deprivation help in a similar way.) the problem for psychiatrists and governments is that this hierarchical structuring is not just on the internal flow of information but also of social position. (notice that for some people what an authority figure says alters their perception to make it true.) psychedelics are automatically anti-status quo and anti-authoritarian. they cannot be used widely because many peoples mental problems are caused by terrible and exploitative external conditions, and they will conclude that the external world must change. so psychiatry takes the opposite strategy: it says society is fine, rebrands all problems as "personal chemical imbalances", and then gives the serotonin reuptake inhibitors that have the opposite effect - they strengthen the effect of hierarchies so that you are unable to see outside them and question them. one should be very skeptical of the medical establishment using psychedelics as treatments. it means that one of two things: either they have gotten better at controlling the trip and now use it to imprint certain though patterns while you are susceptible, and/or it is part of a larger psychological coup against something. take them where you are safe, with friends you can trust. >>10965 shrooms are great. both psychologically and spiritually i think they are useful for showing you ways to proceed, but should then be followed by actual changes and practices like meditation. dont get lost in them thinking that they alone can provide lasting change or show you truth. theyre just tools, and can only re-present what is already in your mind.

>>10966 >one should be very skeptical of the medical establishment using psychedelics as treatments. it means that one of two things: either they have gotten better at controlling the trip and now use it to imprint certain though patterns while you are susceptible, and/or it is part of a larger psychological coup against something. take them where you are safe, with friends you can trust. Absolutely, good post lainon. Look at this article: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/apr/14/magic-mushroom-psilocybin-show-promise-treatment-depression-clinical-trial-finds > “We strongly believe that the … psychotherapy component is as important as the drug action.” > Each psilocybin session – which lasted six hours, including a three- to four-hour “trip” for those on the high dose – was supervised by at least two mental health professionals, with the participants lying on their back, propped up by pillows > All participants received psychological therapy the day after a psilocybin session, as well as a phone or video call in the week after the first dose. If you read any news article about these therapies, they are clearly pushing two main points on psychedelics. 1. Therapy from a therapist is a necessary component of psychedelic mushroom therapy. (This reads almost like they're worried their profession would be obsolete lol) 2. It should be done in a controlled, clinical setting. NOTE they are doing RCT with placebo but no trials testing efficacy outside of a clinical setting without a therapist! Yet it's the most obvious thing to trip on mushrooms in a natural setting, a party, with friends, or in a variety of different situations. >dont get lost in them thinking that they alone can provide lasting change or show you truth. theyre just tools, and can only re-present what is already in your mind. Agreed... Frankly my trip was barely introspective or revelatory at all. It just cleared my head. The biggest realization I've had is just how mentally unwell I really have been in the past decade, and how easy it is to break out of the bad cycles in my life when everything doesn't feel awful.

If I can say something. Shrooms are good, LSD is not. Me and my friend both tried LSD and we both agree that if we could we would revert time and only do shrooms not try LSD. Shrooms are at the lowest of food hierarchy, they break down organic matter for forest to eat. Everything passes through them, they hold the most information of the animal kingdom. LSD is literally MKULTRA soykaf.

>>11324 one of the key precursors of LSD is ergotamine, which is extracted from the ergot fungus. Presumably it is psychoactive but also poisonous. LSD is better for "outside" trips since it is a strong stimulant. Hiking on LSD is one of my favorite pastimes. Anyway, this thread is about psilocybin mushrooms. They're very nice! A medium-to-low dose of mushrooms is a great way to kick off a long meditation (not necessarily seeking vipassana or some such, just sitting and having a thonk). Higher doses are a bit much for me; I had a phase of trying to push my limits with psychedelics and I saw some beautiful geometry and felt beautiful things but long-term didn't get any more out of it than I did eating a cap and two stems of penis envy. And on a practical level it's just more effort to stay safe on higher doses. OP: the feeling of enlightenment you have won't last. You'll find that you return to 'real life' slowly but surely, until your trip is just a memory. The important thing is to use this time to end your bad habits and start good ones! I have growed my own before, and I will say that is 100% the only way I will be acquiring magic mushrooms from now on. It's inexpensive, easy, educational, and you end up with more shrooms then you know what to do with. I got almost as much out of growing my own shrooms as I did out of eating them, in fact I plan to grow non-psychedelic mushrooms just to eat them :)

Something being "natural" does not automatically make it safer or less powerful... Amanita muscaria mushrooms are known for causing bad trips and nausea at high doses.

>>11333 >Something being "natural" does not automatically make it safer or less powerful. Pathway of metabolisis and breaking of molecules entering your body that have been there for few millenia is much more safe and less powerful than a synthetic drug synthetized in Chinese dirty lab that has been modeled by some supercomputer to completely click with specific receptor in your brain. This is why shrooms last 4 to 6 hours while LSD 12+. This is why synthetic cannabinoids also have higher kick, are longer lasting and having mortality rate. Blood brain barrier is a good defense but even then yoir brain has higher chances of breaking down molecules it evolved to break down. >not everything natural is safe therefore synthetics are okay Yea and I would rather take my chances with cyanide than fentanyl of the same dose but hey, thats just me.

No it's just because they're different drugs, so they have different effects. Ibogaine lasts for multiple days and it's completely natural. Oh and it also causes delerium and nausea. >Yea and I would rather take my chances with cyanide than fentanyl of the same dose but hey, thats just me. I can pick two random chemicals, one of which is more toxic than the other, too: tetradotoxin (which is synthesized by many plants, animals, and bacteria) is thousands of times more toxic than fentanyl. IME these effects wear off after one or two weeks, but that doesn't necessarily mean that your life quality has to go back down to previous levels. >>11335 >LSD was first synthesized on accident by a Swiss chemist. It actually binds to several receptors. I know the whole story, good job on trying to shallowly arrogantly explain something everyone who dabbled in drugs knows. >Ibogaine lasts for multiple days and it's completely natural. Oh and it also causes delerium and nausea. But plant(s) that create such substances aren't as widespread and cannabis or cubensis mushrooms so during evolution it wasn't a common occurance drug that our ancestors might come across. My whole point isn't about natural being better because natural end all be all but because our bodies adapted to it during the millennia. Some people from a specific tribe in Africa have higher running endurance, produce less lactic acid in their muscles and have abnormally large legs compared to the rest of their body. They win most of ultra marathon runs today. Their bodies are literally made for that kind of activity. >I can pick two random chemicals, one of which is more toxic than the other, too: tetradotoxin (which is synthesized by many plants, animals, and bacteria) is thousands of times more toxic than fentanyl. So a defense mechanism of animal is much more potent than a defense mechanism of a plant? And those defense mechanism have much more potent toxicity levels than lets say a plant and a fungi wanting to reproduce and thus symbiotically working with us to do so? Huh who would have thought. Maybe there are even more potent toxic chemicals that we produced? >This conversation will remain stupid and pointless if you continue to say dumb soykaf. Look bud, I wasn't mean and I wasn't offensive to you personally, but I can. For instance being a dumbass that alludes that symbiotic evolutionary biology has nothing to do with how we psychoactively interact with nature around us is DUMB ASS fuarrrk. Not only that but it's also pretty nihilistic to look at everything as just pure chemicals instead of seeing the longlasting history behind how we and our ancestors had interactions with nature. >>11350 Must be a soykafty life if this is how you derive pleasure. It's widespread in central Africa, and all evidence points to the fact that if you go back far enough in time all our ancestors are from central Africa. >Maybe there are even more potent toxic chemicals that we produced? I'm sure there are, although it appears that the #1 spot goes to bacteria. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Median_lethal_dose#Examples When you get to LD50 like '1 ng/Kg' there is just no reason for anybody to try and produce a more deadly chemical. There would be no use case at all. >My whole point isn't about natural being better because natural end all be all but because our bodies adapted to it during the millennia. Our bodies are also perfectly adapted to alcohol, it has the longest history of use of any drug, and to this day it destroys more lives than any other drug. Since so many 'natural' drugs are worse than comparable 'synthetic' drugs (look at drugs with similar effects profiles to alcohol, such as MDMA), it's not enough to show a *general mechanism* by which natural > synthetic. Look at LSD and mushrooms in specific: both are very safe in terms of toxicity, both cause similar hallucinations, and both can lead to the same positive effects personally and for society.
Koos van der Merwe · 2022-09-01 12:40
>>11356 >then maybe you shouldn't say it is "synthetized in Chinese dirty lab that has been modeled by some supercomputer to completely click with specific receptor in your brain" I wasn't referring to LSD in that particular example but all the current research chemicals that I find on par with LSD >It's widespread in central Africa, and all evidence points to the fact that if you go back far enough in time all our ancestors are from central Africa. Comparatively to Cannabis which is native to europe and asia? Comparatively to shrooms which are native to all the earth? Even if you were to believe in "out of africa" theory, which there are arguments against it btw, you have a few thousand years of interaction with plants native to central africa compared to ALL THE HISTORY to cannabis or shrooms. My point still stands. >Our bodies are also perfectly adapted to alcohol Not really, although it is depending on which haplogroup. East asians have the highest percentage of alcohol intolerances for instance. >and to this day it destroys more lives than any other drug. Not directly, but through drunk driving. >Since so many 'natural' drugs are worse than comparable 'synthetic' drugs (look at drugs with similar effects profiles to alcohol, such as MDMA) So you compare alcohol to MDMA just purely out of their effect profile? >Look at LSD and mushrooms in specific: both are very safe in terms of toxicity, both cause similar hallucinations, and both can lead to the same positive effects personally and for society. Even the scientific literature on this matter would say that rates of HPPD and neurological damage is far greater in LSD users than with mushroom users.

Your best help would probably be finding a good (maybe regional) book for mushroom identification and carefully researching what you find. Shogun · 2022-09-05 10:27
>>11366 >>11367 None of them are psychedelic is that's what you are looking for. A good guide to finding them is Paul Stamet's "Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World". It is very unlikely you'll find psychedelic mushrooms just wandering around, instead of looking for a specific type. The easiest one to look for are liberty caps, which grow in meadows when it cools down and have a more unique shape. If you want mushrooms for eating then look for the species that are easy to identify. The species with pores on the underside instead of gills are quite easy to identify, and if you get the species wrong then they will just not taste very nice. E.g. look for Porcini mushrooms. >>11367 Second photo looks like one of these: Suillus luteus (don't know the common English word for it). Better to avoid light coloured mushrooms with gills until you are confident they are not death caps. Hard to tell from that photo. >>11366 First photo I recognise but don't know the species; unlikely to be either tasty or poisonous. Second photo: the top left one might be a saffron milk cap, which are tasty, but I'm not confident identifying it from an unknown region as other mushrooms can look similar. Check the one on the right if it has pores under the cap instead of gills. Third photo is a Russula of some sort. It's possible to eat them but they need to be prepared in some specific way (I havn't tried).

>>11468 I'd use it like any actual 'trip.' A trip is a novel experience. Novel experiences induce awe. In a state of awe, your mind is more conducive to suggestibility and change. Imagine trips as softening your neurology and making it malleable during the duration. You could do this over the course of a year if you were in another country, undertaking a crazy job/project, etc—but with psychedelics you can do these operations at home with your 'awe' in a bottle, basically. If you respect this function and don't overdo it, you'll be a-okay. Be reflective and self-respectful during your trip and yeah, you might be able to 'weld' in new features.

The Phantom Phreak · 2023-02-28 17:34
>>12397 For mushrooms, you look at them. A litmus test is if you hit one and wait, they'll bruise in a bluish purplish color. Just look up any mushroom identifying guide. For LSD or extracted psilocybin/psilocin, use a reagent kit. You put drops of different reagents on miniscule amounts of the drug in question on a white ceramic plate, the reagents will change color, or not, and you compare the results with a color chart that identifies the drug. The test kits will contain the chart and more detailed instructions. Moldy shrooms aren't common unless they're grown by someone inexperienced. Your dealer will show you the shrooms and you can visually inspect them for mold. The more common issue is people experiencing come up anxiety then convincing themselves that the shrooms were moldy, too potent, contaminated with the latest super scary drug or cutting agent the media is obsessed with, or some other unrealistic fear, then freaking themselves out, having a bad trip, then bringing it up every time someone mentions shrooms around them for the rest of their life.

>>12426 Nah, I have tried going around buying it but actually I do not. I just boil things in a big pot and then while things are still hot I polyfilm the edges so that I don't get contam inside the jars. Effectively no need for a pressure cooker when all you are trying to do is raise the temp so high it kills all the bacteria and viruses. Afterwards, whether you use pressure cooker or big pot you have to be careful about handling it with gloves and etanol cleaning every step of the way but all in all I personally think that a lot of mycology community is anal about trivial things that can be easily evaded with same results. For instance the Uncle Ben tek aka Spiderman tek. People buy premade sterile food grade brown rice precooked in Uncle Ben bags, they microwave them, wait to cool and then just inject with spore syringe. Voila. No need for anything. I have bough a lot of stuff I didn't end up using in the end, like aquarium heater for cultivation and petri dishes. I do use malt extract but sparingly, and coco coir I am waiting on actually using. But yea, once you understand what is needed then you can mix and match what you read on net and not take everything as gospel.

>>12430 >Anything above 45 degrees C kills bacteria, no need to increase pressure to go above 100 C Fundamentally, its more about how long you keep the temperature elevated. You could theoretically pasteurize your grain spawn, I've heard of people doing that, but it takes 10+ hours. The higher the temperature, the less time you have to keep the temperature high. This is why pressure cookers are popular among mushroom cultivators. >fruiting in shoebox you say Specifically these kinds. Mycelium would eat cardboard and probably cause problems. >Have you thought of "guerilla gardening"? Becoming a bioterrorist and just cloning and creating liquid culture to just squirt all around the neighborhood? Doubt it would work. Mycelium is a lot more picky in the wild, where it has to compete with other stuff on a level playing field. There are 100% bacteria living in your jars, your mycelium is just dealing with it I guess. How did you decide on how to do your first trip? Everyone gives slightly different advice, I don't really know what would be best because I have no experience yet. Since I have no tripsitter (or would have to ask people I haven't talked to in a while to get one, which would be non ideal since you probably want someone you deeply trust) I am thinking about how to minimize chances of bad trip on my own. One option would be to pick good music and a sleeping mask, lay down in my bed and stay there for a couple of hours. This would probably be a bit more boring than actually seeing things, so I also consider being in my room (which is not very clean, which might also become a problem from what I heard) and maybe try painting, looking at fractal images and writing down my thoughts. Or I would also like to go into a forest, but there is a non negligible chance of meeting strangers there, which would probably be terrible. I also don't know when to do it, people say you should have a couple of free days afterwards which is already hard enough, then you are also supposed to wait for good weather and stuff like that. I am probably overthinking, but I fear that I run into serious issues due to a bad trip or somehow fuarrrking up by getting people (strangers in the forest or maybe people I call on the phone if that is something you would do on shrooms, idk) worried and calling police or ambulance. Then there is that problem of acquiring them in the first place, ordering on a dark net market could get me into problems if the seller has been busted, and if I just order spores and grow myself (which seem to be legal in Germany but I only find retailers from other countries) I fear that I will end up on a list too. How can I stop worrying and start deciding on how to do things?

>>12791 There is a lot of study going on in the US as shrooms move towards legalization, and I just legally purchased some shroom chocolate bars in my glorious nations capital. From personal experience, they dissociate patterns and allow for epiphanies as those patterns "bleed into" each other, like mixing paint slowly. These epiphanies can be both good and bad, insofar as they potentially solicit errant thoughts that cam build into a psychotic complex. For those of us who're predominantly introspective, this issue resolves as we engage in ordering our thoughts over time. Prolonged use exacerbates these negative effects, and while I consider any negatives impermanent, as they will resolve, there is one thing you absolutely need to know: The effects of psychedelic use can be seen in the brain via MRI up to 6 months after the dose. Science is impartial on whether this is "good or bad" but there's a lot of research going on right now that suggests the effects are very much irrefutably beneficial for everyone. And don't microdose that's fuarrrking retarded. We have plenty of studies that prove it's useless. Basically, taking it every day forms a new "baseline" and you won't get any benefits at all, nor any negative. Experiment with lower so you're comfortable. Once every six months is guaranteed safe. Once every month is probably safe. I've experimented with multiple times a week and found the tolerance peak, and then experimented with that. Once every 3 days is fine, once every week is probably 20% tolerance. After a month you'll have 0% tolerance. Microdosing is 100% tolerance and once again is completely useless.

I know there are a few growers in this thread, I'm in the process of obtaining some spore swabs (Z-Strain and JMF) locally. I'm a complete beginner and wondering if anyone who maybe saved some links of good teks can guide me a bit. shroomery forums are a bit of a clusterfuck for newbs like me with all the acronyms and low quality OPs - even in supposed "beginner" threads. I'm going for high yields and it took a couple hours of reading to realise that the most commonly recommended tek for beginners (PFTEK) isn't really high yielding. Right now I'm opting for the Uncle Ben tek, seems pretty easy and I don't want to deal with jars yet. Can anyone recommend some teks for: - swab > agar > syringe that's easy to follow - uncle ben tek that actually werked for them - easy still air box construction - tek for transferring uncle bens to the grow container for high yield In particular I'm confused about the transfer from jars/uncle bens bags to the grow container, I've seen people mix up all the cakes in with the growing medium and I've also seen people just dump the cakes onto the growing medium intact (doesn't this result in far less yield?). Another thing I've seen are teks that say to drill holes in the tubs, but other teks that drilled no holes, left the lid slighly open and got huge yield. I don't know which to choose. Guess I should also contribute to the thread :) for anyone completely new, tek = growing technique. For anyone that gets a lot of anxiety like I do on hallucinogens, the last time I tripped I was on an SNRI which killed most of the psychological and bad parts of the trip, but the visuals were still intact (pretty high dose)

I'm considering trying out growing them, just because I think it would be a cool hobby to have on the side away from the computer. I've looked around on shroomery.org, there's so much information and so much to learn so it would definitely take some time to get the hang of what the process is. I don't feel confident in getting those grow kits, they seem overpriced for what amounts to a small plastic tub and a few materials you could buy from the store yourself. I've done it once, and it was a really important experience for me. I didn't feel the need to smoke weed anymore. I'm starting to open up a bit more socially. I used to be next to completely nonverbal, now I can somewhat make my way through a conversation or an interaction. I still stutter a lot, but I feel like I'm able to work on it bit by bit. I realized just how little it matters what others think of me, particularly in regards to my parents and what they think of my sexuality. Who gives a fuarrrk what they think? I love who I love, and I'm happy with who I am in that way, and that's what matters. The visuals were wild. It was my first trip on any psychedelic, after all. I don't regret it for a second. I will do shrooms again eventually when I have the time. I've since tried LSD too and it's also been great, although my trips with them have been more for fun rather than introspection and spiritual/mental growth and healing.

>>10965 I grew some in college. First time I tried them I had 2g of fresh shrooms we had just grown. I figured I would jump right in with a full dose since that worked well for me when I tried weed for the first time. It was really pleasant for a while, the visuals were amazing, I wished, at the time, that things always looked like that. Anyways, later that evening I go for a walk with my roommates, and walking got me to thinking, and thinking got me to overthinking. Eventually we ended up in an orchard and the stars were out and while looking up at the stars I kind of became struck with dread, horror, and realization at my own existence. I was studying machine vision at the time and the rest of the night I couldn't stop picking apart every little mechanical part of my mind I could. I got hungry, so I had some dinner. I got about halfway through my meal before I could no longer understand or speak English, I struggled to consciously think of anything at all. I don't fully recall what happened, but I think I must have decided to try some weed at this point to calm myself down, which would explain what happened after. At some point, while on the couch, I lost the ability to see, and it's hard to verbalize what I was experiencing at this point other than that it felt as though it lasted an eternity, and it was probably the most traumatic experience of my life. Eventually, I regained consciousness and was clinging onto a little electric space heater for dear life, but constantly alternating between being freezing cold and unbearably hot. It took about 6 months for me to feel completely human again, but I still get panicky whenever I get a full stomach now, which is a problem because I'm actually underweight. Anyways, that all said, I still microdose from time to time. I especially like to take a little before going to an art museum or if I'm hanging out in the woods. Ultimately, I think I do really think psilocybin can be a valuable and powerful tool for some people and I think I am genuinely a better person for having had my experiences with it, but I also think mushrooms are really only for those who look for them and not something to be prescribed.

If we started prescribing people mushrooms, that results in the medical establishment sort of uprooting the substance from its cultural roots as folk medicine, and cedes control to the medical establishment, potentially making it harder for people like us to grow our own and use it as we see fit for ourselves. The answer, in my opinion, is decriminalization, not medical canonization.

Lain I have a problem, a pf tek problem. So I tried doing my first attempt, my jars colonized properly and I put them in a fruiting chamber with vermiculite. But when I noticed after a couple of days they started to grow some white fuzz I though they were contaminated and I threw it all out. Now upon doing further research and experimenting with my second round I am seeing people say that is not a form of contamination but is natural??? On this second round for some odd reason half of my jars did not colonize at all and one of them only has colonized half way after like 5 weeks of sitting. I have reason to believe that the jars which did not colonize at all are due to the fact that the spores in the syringe were not properly distributed upon inoculation OR that the jars had not cooled down enough yet from the sterilization. Will be making extra carefully sure not to allow either of those things to happen with my soon to be third attempt. Today I popped out two jars, one of which which fully colonized and the second of which is 97% colonized, but according to what I heard you can wash off the small piece that did not colonize and put it in the fruiting chamber so thats what I did. Then I had a jar that was only half full with substrate because a bit was left over, and I did not notice any contamination from the outside but when opening it I noticed it had a small amount of green mold from the inside. After the fact I heard you should never open a contaminated jar in your grow room, so I hope that did not cause a serious problem. I am currently trying to do the old school version of a PF TEK as explained in the original late 90s manual for it but it seems like the manner in which that describes things is somewhat different than other ways of doing it that I have heard are improvements. I have round of spores left and am thinking about buying brand new jars and a fresh set up for everything before trying it. What advice can yall give?

>>13299 What? Hecka gay perspective dude. People should be free to buy any drug they want at the store or make it themselves. No one really gives a fuarrrk about safety. It's not like we restrict people from buying aspirin but it's one of the most commonly used drugs for suicide and there are about 3,000 deaths from it per year. Benadryl gives you dementia when consumed chronically. All drugs used to be legal over the counter, you know, and it was tyrannical puritans who merely want you to suffer that started prohibition/prescription law. Drug law is totally arbitrary puritanical bullshit. Drugs that make you feel good but are less physically toxic than bleach should be AT LEAST as unregulated as bleach.

Get some coir and some shoeboxes, hydrate the coir and break up two cakes per shoebox, mixing with the coir (about half a brick per shoebox if I remember right, should be deep but not to the top). Add a top layer of coir and throw a plastic bag over the top with some holes in it.

>>13121 If you get the spores onto agar and a clean culture after a few transfers there's no need to go back to a syringe, it just overcomplicates things. Just cut a piece of clean agar and drop it directly onto grains. Uncle bens worked for me as described on the reddit (shoot syringes directly into the bags, micropore tape, still air box), but you'll have a few bags get contam. Will still work but your overall yield will be lower Still air box is dead easy, get a plastic tub and cut some arm holes in it with bolt cutters or something similar. Shoeboxes are a pretty easy way to go from colonized grains (uncle bens or whatever), grab some coir, hydrate it, and mix with the colonized grains, throw a top layer on and wait.

>>13807 Safety is one of the main arguments for the legalisation of drugs though.. don't have to worry about people being sold bad/impure/fake drugs if they are manufactured and sold by a regulated company or the user is able to cultivate their own weed, shrooms etc. Most of the fentanyl deaths wouldn't have happened if drugs were legal and available at drugstores.
Cat Mother · 2023-09-20 00:00
>>13846 Guess you were unable to to read my earlier post, so I'll repeat myself just for you: safety is clearly not the reason drugs are criminalized. Plenty of substances are far more deadly than scheduled drugs, but no one cares because they're not as fun. The puritanical/tyrannical aws against drugs are NOT about safety; there is no rhyme or reason other than punishing people for having fun. For instance, instead of criminalizing bleach, we just slap a big "do not eat" sticker on it and hope for the best. Babies are actually the most at risk to dying from eating bleach... so why is it so easy for anyone to buy bleach without a special license for it? Think of the children! Or what about acetaminophen, a drug which kills thousands of a people a year? Or hell, what about alcohol which actually is pleasurable, one of the most deadly, destructive drugs around, and only legal because of the suffering the hang over causes.

>tl;dr macha and mushies sucked IME. details follow I found a bad combo lainons. It's probably one of those YMMV things where someone will say this is their favorite way to have tea and I'm crazy for not enjoying it but I did not enjoy the experience. I did eat part of a dried cap within 90 minutes of having the tea which I admit was retarded, but my initial dose was under a gram so the total can't have been higher than 2g total, probably less. I'm used to that amount so I think the more likely culprit was mixing 3g of macha powder into the tea. >set and setting? both were fine, I get giddy once I've determined I have a few hours to myself and I start making the stuff. I went on a walk in a safe place and saw people but none of that set me off. after I got home and laid in bed was when it started feeling bad in a way that's hard to quantify. I took enough that there was an overwhelming amount of cognitive and visual stimulation like usual, but it was too much. Normally my relation to the stuff is I come and spend a few hours staring at whatever it is that stares back, learning a little about myself, and just feeling good and laughing a lot. The macha either dialed up the intensity of the overwhelmingness, or reduced my ability to take it all in without feeling horrified. None of the actual content of the trip felt more negative than what I'm accustomed to, though, and the comedown phase seemed like it did not want to let go of me, I can recall at least three separate moments when I thought I was ready to stand and go about my business but I got caught in the same fractal thought loop again. If I had to sum the whole experience up into a single statement, it would be something like: ordinary consciousness is a gift and a safe haven because you can't fuarrrking handle staring into the infinite abyss of eternity all the time. think I'll stick to just mixing it with lemon and hot water from now on.

>>13847 >dude awful tasting cleaning agent chemical is more toxic than {insert pleasurable physically addicting drug}. Let's legalize every hard drug there is Yes, the drugs are fun and most people are hedonistic, pleasure driven cattle who will destroy themselves for every bit of pleasure. But if anything, the last thing the government wants to prevent us from is having "fun". Every other sort of "fun" has been decriminalized for decades now. But the powers that be also want us to be good little wage slaves. Hard drugs that make you unable to perform the most basic tasks kinda run counter to that. With psychedelics and weed this argument can very well be made though. There are many underage users who as a substitute for weed destroy themselves with over the counter allergy medication and cough pills which cause permanent brain damage. I guess as an anon pointed out earlier in the thread, psychedelics are much harder to control. That's why the default recommendation by the new soros funded psychedelic gurus is to do it in a controlled, clinical setting.

They are liable to manipulation and peer pressure which is now largely displaced by subversive media. >let's criminalize (...) voting For the aforementioned reason democracy is obviously very flawed. >firearms Again a very lacking comparison of completely different things. Firearms are tools, and a liability to good people to be misused by bad people who would aquire them anyways for criminal purposes. >>16018 >FWIW, shrooms are a lot more of a wild ride than LSD. You mean more unpredictable, less "clear headed"? Because with LSD I found the heightened self awareness coupled with increased empathy immensely useful in getting clear thoughts on various things. It was very therapeutical. Also lower dosages give more of this "therapeutical" and less of a "spiritual" effect. Can shrooms have similar effects at lower dosages perhaps? The mist i've tries was 170ug LSD which may have lost some potency since I was carrying the blotter in my pocket for some time.

Only really "took me in" once at the very peak, and that was for all of five minutes. Ofc I also wasn't a fan of the long-ass halflife. Done shrooms (actually various synthetic tryptamines) many times, almost always visceral, gut-feeling, wild ride. Thoughts to the left and right, etc. Can still pull my head together if needed but much more capturing/spiritual/etc. Low dose tryptamines just feel like the higher doses but weaker. > immensely useful in getting clear thoughts on various things. It was very therapeutical. I've never used psychs this way. MXE used to be great for this, but that is a different story. >>16028 I used to be pro-legalization for hard drugs. They make me puke, its hard for me to say how shroomd and other psychs have impacted my depression because the time I realized I had it and got diagnosed and started therapy coincided with heavy psych use. I will say while they always made me a bit prone to vomitting when I increasingly started to puke doing them also coincided with me being in a years long relationship where I frequently felt I had to behave a certain way for the sake of the other persons happiness. Everything would feel like "too much" on the shrooms and id start throwing up for hours. It wasnt even like mentally a traumatic or bad trip just physically i couldnt stop puking. I was seeing some cool fun stuff while hung over the toilet. I have some now and its possible if I took them again id just have the normal comeup anxiety slight need to throw up, its likely I suppose as they say the shrooms were trying to "teach me something" which was how much I was suppressing my own emotions for others hence it all coming out in a wave of puke. I have an autoimmune condition likely linked to my depression and in the years spent in my last relationship its begun attacking my joints likely as a result of the way ive neglected my own emotionality. I probably should have taken it as a sign when after this I decided id probably never be able to do shrooms again while in the relationship I was. A similar thing happened when a friend in a very bad mood spell was clearly trying to recapture the relationship we used to have by asking me to do shrooms with him (which we used to trip together a lot). The vomits came in response to this pressure I felt to perform. Its all clearly partly my fault, people wouldnt expect me to perform if I hadnt allowed those around me to set such expectations. Maybe another trip is in order to focus on learning to say no and not worry if people will leave if I express how im truly feeling.

Tried shrooms a few times, but only up to 3g. It was always fun and stuff but my depression never got away. Maybe i need to do a higher dose or plan my trip differently. A friend of mine had grown them, eat like 3g, after 2h he didn't notice much and just shoved in the other 4g he still had because they were so tasty like chips. Oh boi did he go on a trip. In the middle of a forest he and a friend that also was on shrooms they got kinda lost and maps said that their village was basically nonexistent. They freaked out that they lost their home but he managed to call his sister (after 7 times trying to dial her number) and she picked them up. Still i really like shrooms and they are imo better than LSD because its not that long lasting and LSD is also very exhausting because you always have the feeling that you have to go to the bathroom or otherwise you will piss urself. But i have to admit that i once had a trip of my life on just 1 tab of 1S-LSD, i could see the future and the reality was morphing that i thought we live in a matrix, my friends are part of the system and i was alone against the world. We went inside after i noticed this, sadly i couldn't handle it that good because people were in the park too and that just was too much for me while feeling sick. In future i'll never go higher than 2g. 3g is exhausting enough and i hate getting nauseous, especially that one time i came back from a small hill in my hometown, i was in the subway and suddenly got sick, thankfully i had to leave the train already so i got out. I had to change trains and wait like 6 mins but i had to keep walking because i'd throw up if i just stood there, so i walked the 30mins home instead of using the tram. Same happened another time but on LSD, i had to rub my finger on the upper half on the nose the whole subway ride because i became nauseous, 15 minutes of just trying to not throw up while everyone in this full train looks at me because of my (goth) appearance. Took 3.4g some days ago and after 3:30h and a good amount of effort with deep introspection laying in the dark I got into a really neat mental state where I understood and accepted in all subconscious levels what 'god' was, which isn't someone; just everything alive and also not alive in different levels of complexity and realization, acting as pillars or supports that reinforce the presence of 'god'. Everyone has equal potential spiritually. I understood all problems that affected me emotionally were ultimately fake distractions and irrelevant. I felt like all my body's capabilities were available to me and I had never felt more alive. My depression also got completely eradicated and I had perfect mental clarity, like all of the shrooms' effects were completely replaced by this state of perfect clarity and control. Colors were richer, my vision seemed sharper and everything was beautiful and meaningful. I felt like my life was complete and didn't need anything else at all, that I could die in peace. The choice on what to do next was completely up to me, no mental blockages seemed to hold me back on anything I decided to do. I interpreted this sudden change of effect as an understanding that shrooms let you see your fragmented, chaotic mind subconsciously worrying about fake problems, and once you manage to piece it all back together you achieve perfect mindfulness. I felt a sudden urge of responsibility to help people realize this, and while thinking about how to go about doing that I noticed that the clarity was lessening, due to worrying about fake problems out of my control again. After a bit of further thought, I realized it doesn't really matter if the world goes down the soykafter because there's infinite time for a collective feeling of unity to come up. Eventually I felt the usual feelings of anxiety gradually coming from my heart again. I believe it has left a mark anyways. Most of this could be a delusion I guess, but I still feel it mostly makes sense.
