Things that I realized during my LSD trip

Ghost · 2022-03-21 13:37
So I thought a lot, about the day when I tried out LSD. I had lots of "ideas" that day, made me see the world in a different way. I was walking around, and if I was to describe it, I'd describe it as "observing the world from the 3rd person view". It's not like the 3rd person view in the games, but rather like watching it and experiencing it while I'm not even there. I was there obviously, but it looked like I'm just a ghost, unnoticed, too small to be seen. I felt like an ant in a kingdom with billions of other ants. The feeling is quite difficult to explain. During my high, I had to go to the restroom a few times, I had to go get some water as well, food, etc. In my mind, I had random thoughts like "I'm just a body. Skin, organs, hair, etc. A body that needs maintaining." I found it confusing, why did I think about it? Made me re-think about that a lot. I also realized that the world is quite beautiful, we just need to see it. But it also made me think that we spend too much time working, studying and doing other meaningless things, so we don't have time to even see the beauty of this world. Now when I said "meaningless" right after I said "studying" and "working". I meant that it's meaningless because we don't make any progress. There are not that many people who actually get wealthy enough to be able to afford anything, to not work 8hrs everyday and spend their time however they want to spend it. Meanwhile I'm studying and wasting my time on games. The experience I had was quite nice, it really made me realize many things, I saw the world from another perspective, I found it colorful, unlike before. But I also realized some negative things, I'm just a body that needs to be maintained. It sounds weird when I put it this way, but that's literally what I mean. I'm just a small "being", in the middle of the nowhere, surrounded by many other beings. I don't live anymore, I exist. My existence starts in a hospital, ends where..? My existence affects just a few people. Now you probably heard something like "They might be dead, but they will always be in our hearts." or whatever. And that's true, the day someone dies, they won't exist anymore, they won't live, but they will stay as a memory, until one day the last person that remembered them dies as well. Then they dissappeared forever. Ever wondered how we still listen to singers, rappers that died decades ago? They might be dead, but they won't be forgotten for at least another few decades, probably more. What about us though? The unnoticed. The day we die, only a few people will remember us, until the memories fade away. Do something remarkable if you don't want to stay as a ghost. Note, some of these statements might make me look like a shizo, I'm not. I am not a junkie either. Some of the things that I said might be difficult to understand, but you should be able to. You could say that I'm depressed or whatever, I don't think I am. I'm just looking at this soykafhole of so called "world" from a different perspective. I suggest you find a purpose in your life and start living, stop wasting time on meaningless things. Existing != Living. - Ghost

>>10457 I feel like I know exactly what you mean. In some trips life feels like it's boiled down. The complexities simplify and you start to think about what you really want to do. After all our time is finite from the perspective of this body. Upon seeing the world from this altered state some start to feel as if it's a prison, while others a playground. What do you see lainon?

>>10470 > Upon seeing the world from this altered state some start to feel as if it's a prison, while others a playground. What do you see lainon? I feel like the world is however you want it to be. It can be an adventure, it can definitely be a playground. For me tho, the playground ends one day and everything loses colors...

>>10457 Desire to be remembered comes from the ego. You already observed the world from the third person. Next time you take LSD, observe your mind the same way you observe the world. Realise your every thought is just an observation, just like those you make with your eyes about the outside world. Your thoughts, your ego, isn't you. You just watch it all from god knows how many layers of psychology, tricked into thinking you are your mind, let alone your body. As for the meaningless of it all. Yes, on LSD you're concerned only with the now; the future is irrelevant. In many ways I think your brain on LSD is what your brain could be if it had no need to try and survive. Back in reality, the majority of your desires are with safety. Doing those exciting things you think of on LSD bring about so much anxiety and suffering that those dreams die fast until you dream of them once again. But none of this matters. You're just a monkey placed here by yourself to have a monkey experience. Might as well enjoy the little things and let the future do it's self discovery, you were never built for it.

>>10457 >stop wasting time on meaningless things everything is meaningless. The real lesson imo is to not be anxious or worry *because* it is nice that everything is meaningless, so you may as well enjoy wasting time on meaningless things

>>10523 >everything is meaningless While it might be devoid of enherent meaning, most of the fun in life imo is finding meaning, working towards a goal or just temporary distractions like videogames or music
