opiates/opioids

Bobby Newmark · 2017-09-01 02:53
any friends here dabble in opiates? what flavour of opiates have you been enjoying? anyone trying to/succeeding at getting clean? how do you acquire/afford your drug of choice? I personally just got out of a long period of chipping heroin/pst. currently I am taking kratom everyday and slowly tapering down. but boy oh boy do I miss shooting heroin. I probably shouldnt do that anymore though it isnt good for me.

Bumping old thread. No love for opiates on this board kinda surprises me, although I suppose it could be to do with the demographics. Too smart, too young, or too well to do? Who knows... I've introduced myself to them this past year or two. I have kilograms of kratom which I take every so often, but that isn't a real opiate/opioid... After codeine I extracted from paracetamol limited pills gave me horrendous stomach pains, that I can only imagine a gunshot or an arrow tangled into your flesh could feel like, I vowed to never revisit that drug. Fetched some oxycodone off a DNM to see what the hype was about, though I was weary of its strength, treating it like heroin as someone who didn't really know how they would mesh with such a drug... I would take anywhere from 30mg to 80mg recreationally, and never had any trouble - though during a depressive episode I compulsively redosed at what I knew were potentially fatal doses and lost track of time. It really did take the edge off everything. That soykaf is expensive though. I envy you Americans and your murderous, morally lacking doctors: Prescribing what are essentially heroin pills for anything from minor dental procedures to a sore back because the person is so morbidly obese. I'll take national healthcare over the opiate epidemic for everyone else, but for me, I do wish I could take advantage of what is essentially a legal dealer for drugs that aren't distributed like that anywhere else. With 4.4% of the global population, enough opiates are still prescribed in the US that it accounts for over 30% of opiate consumption - 75% of oxycodone, and 99% of hydrocodone (http://www.politifact.com/missouri/statements/2017/may/10/claire-mccaskill/mccaskill-cites-long-disproven-figure-opioid-use/). So I've switched over to fentanyl now. Well, I was using fentanyl HCL, but that's hard to come by at the moment so I'll be switching to the weaker furanyl-fentanyl. It has an awful reputation due to dealers using it in a despicable way, but if used in a reasonable matter, having been dosed volumetrically, it's an incredibly powerful and plentiful substance which is relatively pure compared to other illegal opiates such asheroin which are often cut with other stuff, which is just a no-go in the case of you shooting up heroin cut with fentanyl, because you're fuarrrking dead in that case. It all comes at the fraction of the cost. It is playing with fire though. The respiraratory depression is very real. I've had many close calls with it now, though a detachment to life makes you more careless with your mortality. Addiction feels easy to avoid at least. Any other fentanyl or analogue users here? Anyone tried U-47700? I'd like to get a hold of some...

>>746 I don't think you'll read much into my word, but here they are anyway. This stops feeling nice soon. You'll come to a plateau and the likelihood that achieving a nod is approaching the LD50 increases. First you feel normal, you hit it, you feel great. Then you feel bad, you hit it, you feel normal. Then you feel like dying, you hit it, you feel closer to normal. Mexican bth, Afghan #3 & #4, Chinese fent and carto fent user. I used for most of the time Alphabay was up, and on the block when i was younger. I stopped because I don't want to die a junkie, or locked up in Jeff Session's butt barns. soykaf I was even on the chans bragging about how I was using hard soykaf--not realizing how stupid a look that was for me. I'm clean now, trying to trick my receptors back into experiencing joy. You won't hear me out now, just remember months from now a stranger (trying to be a friend) told you to find a way out while you could.

Low doses of codeine can be fun to mix with weed. Besides that I stay well away from the stuff, wayy to easy to get addicted.

>>979 hey friend, OP here. you are very right. I managed to get clean for a little bit, then got back on using kratom/pst most days of the week. I had just placed an order for some #4 when traderoute went down and i never got it, thankfully. Basically I am now just alternating between spending 1-4 days depressed/distracted not using, then using for 1-4 days, rinse repeat. at least i dont get heavy WD doing this, but I really need to stop. Ive been rock climbing all day every day and getting ready to spend a month mountaineering down in chilean patagonia this upcoming december/january that I want to be past the PAWS by then for. Being stuck in sillicon valley just makes me want to be on opiates all the time, and it definately doesnt help that im way more productive when im high. the only time i really love life sober is when im in the mountains, hanging out on a cliff, or surfing. I just need to get out of tech slavery and get a remote job and move to alaska or chile or somewhere not here. thanks for the kind words. I know all of what you are saying is true, I just try to delude myself most of the time

just made my first attempt to quit a 4 year addiction to IV tar heroin, 40-60$/day habit (started with the needle, no prior/other opiate use except some methadone to carry me). I actually posted on day 2 of wds for a cold turkey withdrawal here on /drug/ two weeks ago and I was already feeling really fuarrrked, in terrible pain, crying, the whole 9 yards. Well, two weeks later I feel pretty damn good all things considered. Still can't focus quite right but I am finally finishing the final chapter (5) of SICP and it makes things alright. Some guy from Lainchan responded with some "warm turkey" advice and really fuarrrking saved my ass. Who knew coricidine would help with the sickness (cuz every junkie alive already knows about loperamide).

>>978 >U-47700 FBI here, I'm going to need you to stop right there. Just kidding, FBI is heavily involved in and profits off the narco-trade, just like the CIA, Pentagon, NSA, DHS and other Western military-intelligence spooks. The naive idea that the FBI are now or ever were "anti-drug" will get you laughed out of the room by any serious researcher. In all seriousness though, stop. U-47700 is the definition of death by a single dose. It's literally horse/bull/elephant tranquilizer tier. Take literally anything else. Preferably not anything hard like alcohol or coke or meth etc. Weed or hash or mushrooms though? Go wild. One of my best friends OD'ed on U-47700 a few months ago. He's never going to see another sunrise again. We will never kick back and rip 5+ grams of medical-grade Afghan kush bong hits for wake and bake before going out for Chinese food or pizza or some other munchies again. We will never take a comfy LSD or mushroom trip and walk through beautiful gardens with chicken coops, bunnies, lizards, rich brown soil, adobe shelters and apple and pear trees again. We will never discuss deep matters of personal affairs, philosophy, music, history, life dreams etc long into the night and early AM again. We will never go on comfy weekend night walks and sit on our favorite bench underneath oak trees and away from all the preppy, upper-class kids getting trashed at our college dorm parties to roll and smoke down a couple joints or fat blunts together. His parents and siblings will never get to see the full-grown man he would become. He will never get to graduate from college and get a career and have a family. We will never get to smoke soykaf tons of weed together and go on adventures/travel at reunions of our small friend group and the occasional larger class-year reunions of our fellow alumnis. And the worst part, no matter how long or how much time passes since he died: It's never going to be OK. It's never going to get better. The hole and the pain and the emptiness will always be gnawing at me. That feel only changed in the sense that initially it was raw and fresh while now it is dulled but weighing down, as if my footsteps are heavier, the world feels more empty and the sun shines a little less bright. OP, you are young, very young (I'm guessing). You deserve better than this. Start a new hobby, make new friends, move to a new town of your choice for the change in scenery and social atmosphere and opportunities. Talk to and date beautiful women who catch your attention. Doesn't even matter if you *think* you're ugly or un-attractive or a *loser* in some form. You're not. Heck, even just start a new online MMORPG or an old one you haven't played in a while like Runescape. Life is too short anyway. Too short not to make the most of your youth, your mind, your body, your goals and hobbies and moral principles. Save yourself.
John Titor · 2017-11-12 23:28
>>1000 >>978 Honestly U-47700 isn't all people say it is. Used orally it's very weak due to low bioavailability, and nasal administration is more than alright if you've got a scale. I can't say anything about IV, IM or plugging, but my experiences with it other than that have been somewhat disappointing. You're better off looking for fentalogues or BUC instead.
Agent Smith · 2017-11-12 23:31
>>1000 Also, I really need you to know this: your friend died because he was stupid. If he had used proper harm reduction procedures while handling a research chemical known for its potency he would still be around. U-47700 isn't worse than most other opioids in any way, except for maybe how caustic it is, but that's something that goes for all RC opioids. Thinking mushrooms are less "hard" than alcohol and coke is cute though, I'll give you that.
Junichi Fujiwara · 2017-11-13 00:01
>>1024 The scale of "hardness" is stupid to begin with. Mushrooms aren't physically addictive though, those others are. There's been some research that suggested mushrooms can even help someone break an addiction but then AA became popular and adopted a no drugs stance, and then other 12 step programs for "hard" drugs spun off from it.
Bobby Newmark · 2017-11-13 01:48
>>1023 >>1024 You are both fuarrrking idiots. And you are going to die if you are not careful, you will likely die even if you are careful if you continue to do what you have been doing. >>1000 1st, Nice GET 2nd, I think this might be one of my favorite posts on lainchan, for a little while I had a bit of an issue with opiates, never anything as 'hard' as fentanyl, and yes I believe you can make a distinction between soft and hard drugs, especially when you consider factors like the avg life of a user. You're right as well when you suggest that >>978 needs a new hobby. I'm sorry for your loss man, I've seen perfectly good people ruined for want of a good time too, it doesn't really get easier does it? To be where you are and to wonder what it would have taken in your life to wind up in the same place, sometimes it feels like luck to me.

Hey just wanted to report something. So I bought headshop kratom brand, usually it doesnt do much so I took a whole 10 mg. I started to feel intense stimulant effect and then i threw up and remained nauseous after. I almost passed out on floor so I went to bed and had hallucinations and delerium for a good four hours. Id think my arms were grabbing things or I was walking around my room and then id snap out of it and I was just in my bed. My head felt like a room and I could picture things so vividly and their position too I kept confusing it with real life, and I could physically feel things I was touching in my mind. Did it have added chemicals or is this possible from taking too much at once?
Eldon Tyrell · 2018-05-05 17:25
>>1715 As context I've never used headshop brand kratom or extracts, only ground plant matter bought from online dealers. It's also been a while since I've had any kratom, so my memory isn't perfect. So to start, it sounds like you bought some sort of extract given that your dose is on the milligram scale (powder kratom doses are usually several tablespoons iirc). > I started to feel intense stimulant effect Some strains of kratom can be stimulating, but not to an overwhelming degree. >then i threw up and remained nauseous after Sounds about right after a strong dose of any opioid to me, although I've got a weak stomach. >so I went to bed and had hallucinations and delerium for a good four hours This part sounded really fuarrrked at first, but now that I re-read it it makes more sense. My favorite part of kratom (and any opiate) use was lying in bed half-awake drifting through dream-states. If the hallucinations were vivid and discomforting, and felt more chemical/forced than just drowsiness and euphoria, then I would worry about the kratom being laced.
William Holtzer · 2018-05-05 23:13
>>1722 Its hard to tell because they were discomforting because of nausea. However they would have been pretty cool if not for the nausea. It felt similar to delerients or having a very high fever.
Drano · 2018-05-07 22:50
I don't fuarrrk with physically addictive drugs. That of course includes Nicotine as well. It becomes a pseud-parasitic relationship between the user and the drug.
Jean Dupont · 2018-05-08 08:26
>>1731 thats nice but physical addiction is nothing for me, it is the mental addiction. I can quit cigarettes easy but im gonna go back in at least a month because of mental addiction. So opiates vs any other drug its all the same, my brains gonna get addicted. Oddly i've never had a mental dependence on opiates. It's always something I fuarrrk around with for a week every 3 months or so, amphetamines are what really get me because I can rationalize them forever because i'm still getting stuff done. + Most opiates make me nauseous after a certain point.
Koos van der Merwe · 2018-05-14 18:01
>>1731 this seperation between mental and physical addiction is not productive. Both are burning pathways in the brain: one because you rely on the drug to get through the day/feel happy/something, another because you rely on the drug to function. At an advanced enough stage of addiction there isn't much of a difference, even chemically. You can get through withdrawal of any drug. For some you might need medical assistance, but if you really want to get off it you can do it. The thing is that you don't *want* to do it. That's why it's so hard to quit. >>1734 >Most opiates make me nauseous after a certain point. you're lucky there chummer.
Bobby Newmark · 2018-05-16 10:09
>>1756 yeah i'm sure I am. I used to love xanax for the peace it brought, so opiates with their "who gives a fuarrrk" and then add euphoria on top of that I'd get addicted as soykaf. I said I stop also cause I can't rationalize them forever but who knows. The other thing is I rarely have a consistent supply of opiates, so me stopping isn't really my choice. Though I do know where on the street to get them so I suppose if they were really my weakness i'd go there. It's funny how people condemn addicts but imo the only thing separating is what you've tried. Like I get addicted to pills and it's rough to quit, imagine if I did heroin "once". Suddenly i'm happier and more at peace then I've been in my life, how fuarrrking hard would it be to tell your brain "nah you can't just sit around and snort/shoot up forever that's bad". I know an ex heroin user, he just does a fuarrrk ton of coke now but still. People who quit heroin out of choice make me think there must be some kind of soul or something outside of brain chemistry running us. Even more for meth cause that would be more my weakness but this is the opiate thread.

Heroin/morphine/fentanyl. I'm terminally ill so who cares. Don't want a pity party for that, but getting off it I suggest Kratom. Buy a pound and freeze it, hydroxazine works well for nausea, cbd is great for anxiety, and loparamide if you can't kratom. Kratom and loparamide are partial narcotics in that they tickle the opioid receptors in the body but don't readily cross the blood brain barrier. Kratom does more so than loparamide. You can still get a nice euphoric "Ahhhhh". but it helps in getting clean. Trazadoe + hydroxazine + propranolol is wha ti suggest for non narcotic recommendaton.
