Weed Forgetfulness

StoneCottage · 2017-07-11 10:24
Day after baking I had some noticable working memory problems. Do u ever go to do something or google something but u forget what u wanted to do? That happened a lot more. And even the 2nd day a bit. Any advice on how to reduce that? It may become rlly important if I start gettin hi in the middle of the week. Btw I started doing omega 3. I heard it improves weed high and reduces weed hangover and, regardless of weed, improves mood and focus if taken daily for a while. Any other advice?

>>582 You smoke too much anon. You really should reduce if you smoke every day.

>>583 I don't smoke every day. I don't say I wouldn't. I couldn't. I don't have enough money yet.

Smoking more than once a week is for addicts. Everyone I know that has smoked weed either just started to, has smoked for a year and has a dependency (many people admit this themselves), or are glad they quit.

>>585 I'm a tobacco addict. That means unreasonable strong need to smoke cigs, cause honestly, it's a minor short high and it makes no sense, but I must do it or I will be out of my mind. That's why I ain't afraid of no marijuana dependency lol.

Oh, and I'm also a drunk. On weed I can at least do something useful with some side effects, including the day after.

>Any advice on how to reduce that? Stop smoking for some time. You probably have a upregulated cannabinoid system and/or an downregulation on acetylcholine. Anything that modulate acetylcholine will help your memory, this include precursors (Alpha-GPC, CDP choline), acetylcholinesterase inhibitores (Huperzine A., Galantamine), choline "flow stimulants" (*racetam family) and receptor agonists (nicotine, muscimol). Check your nutrient intake. Deficiency on Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D leads to memory problems. Remember to take the methyl form of B12 (methylcobalamin) and the D3 (cholecalciferol), if you want to supplement. Watch your sleep. You should sleep at least 7 hours every day. Even if you sleep that amount of hours, you may have some sleep disorder that may affect you. For example, some people don't have much SWS (slow wave sleep) or REM (rapid eye movement - dream state). You can use melatonin supplementation to help (take only 500mcg, no more), try not to eat 4 hours prior to sleep, use an earplug+sleep-mask. Exercise. It's good for memory too (see BDNF release). If you're using other drugs you may have other problems. For example, norepinephrine downregulation causes working memory impairment. Dissociation drugs can also cause memory loss through NMDA antagonism. tl;dr sleep better, eat better.

>>587 >Oh, and I'm also a drunk. As I said on >>588 other drugs may cause this memory problem. And here is the problem then: alcohol. It's a mid NMDA antagonist, causes dissociation. NMDA is related with LTP, that is the formation of memories. It's also a GABA agonist. GABA regulates other neurotransmissors. Too much GABA and you'll have basically a downregulation of almost all your neurotransmissors (especially catecholamines).

>>589 >>588 Thank you. In fact, I just started smoking weed (already callin myself StoneCottage). Thank you for your advice. May the Green Gods be with you.

You don't reduce it, you adapt to it. Take better notes, set reminders and get clean for 2 weeks if there's something very important to remember.
