What is the best way to minimize the smell of weed? I have a mason jar but I can still smell it.

Don't smoke it.

ground coffee beans in the jar. anything else should obviously be in a smaller bag.

>>454 I use these exact containers. Find some tupperware containers with a deep ridge on the seal, the kind you clip in rather than push down. I can not smell the weed inside, even with larger containers. If you're still concerned about the smell, bag it up inside the tub with a ziplock or two.

If you're really paranoid surround it with coffee beans but be aware that professionals know that people often mask smells with coffee so it could be a red flag to them, if you're just trying to hide it from someone you live with or whatever it should be fine. If storing for longer periods be careful of moisture because it can grow mold which is really bad for you if you smoke it.

If you are going for "holy soykaf my landlord is my roomate and I need to hide my weed" extreme type of concealment I would propose that alongside everything already said ITT that you add grounded up coffee to the storage to hide the smell

It will make your smoke taste off or just bad in general. If the odor leaks one way, it will leak the opposite direction. After you seal the jar just wash off your hands and the outside of the jar. If really paranoid and are tucking it away for a bit, wrap it in cling wrap and but it in a bag.

I assume you're looking for shorter term storage, but a few years back I was going on a trip with some friends and we needed to get some weed passed a known check point. So we bought a big ass candle and by cutting/melting we hollowed it out, filled it with the (sealed in bags) ILLEGEL DREGS, and just melted some wax back on. It didn't smell at all, as was expected, and this throughout a 48-hour trip (the check point didn't have police in the end though, so it was all for nothing, but we learned something I guess). Downside is you can't open it easily- my friend wanted to open it wast and seriously cut his finger, and then proceeded to be even more angry damaging the bags and getting wax-dust in the of the weed. And obviously, it's even harder to seal again, since you need to melt the wax and wait for it to dry (~1 hour if I remember correctly, and it wasn't 100% dry).

sealed container, cover it, put some potpourri soykaf in there with it, along with maybe some other perfumed artifacts. basically, what they said. should be good. but srsly, how much do you have that the smell is that intense?!?!
