IV Drip Therapy
Jet Black · 2018-01-13 19:50
Warning, this video is terrible, and everyone in it makes me angry. I want to talk about this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0JDvGaoI_U
If you don't want to watch the video, it's basically an IV drip bag full of vitamins and soykaf that you can put into yourself to cure a hangover much faster than just drinking water or other things.
The idea of this is I think is cyb as fuarrrk, how do we take this technology from these rich soykafheads and use it for ourselves? I think this is probably what these indulgences will look like in the future, for example people won't stop smoking, they'll just invent an anti-cancer pill like in transmetropolitan or something like that.
Anyone with technical knowledge know how a regular person could go about DIYing something like this?
Any ideas for similar concepts? For example tricks to deal with an MDMA comedown, or save bad trip etc?
Does this even work or is it all a placebo?

hydration will help. unless you are trained to stick needles into yourself, best to just unironically stick the liquid in your butt
>Rectal infusion (proctoclysis) was effectively employed as an emergency treatment during the First World War for combat casualties and routinely used for infusion in clinical settings before the development of IV techniques and equipment rendered the technique redundant.(1) In 2005 a now often cited article described an occasion where improvised proctoclysis in a remote setting was effectively used to treat and initially stabilise a casualty in a remote setting, re-igniting discussion on this technique as an emergency treatment in a remote environment. (2)
>Rectal Rehydration can provide a simple, safe and effective means to rehydrate a casualty who is unconscious or nauseous and with less risk of adversely affecting their haemodynamic balance. The technique requires neither sterile fluids, special equipment or specific training (3, 4)
>Proctclysis may be of benefit for those who work in developing countries or rural areas, where there can be little access to hospital care or where sterile cannula, fluids and giving sets are expensive. It could also be useful in mass casualty situations where clinical teams must administer fluid resuscitation despite having insufficient intravenous equipment or nursing staff. (5) The primary aim of proctoclysis in such emergency situations is to provide initial fluid resuscitation in advance of rapid evacuation for further care in a dedicated medical facility. (2)

Of course, with IV fluids you begin to be hydrated immediately. The fluids go directly into your blood stream, increasing your body’s fluid volume right away. In short, this means you feel better, faster.
When drinking water, scientific studies have shown that it can take up to 2 hours to completely absorb 500ml of water. Furthermore, your body can only absorb about one liter of water an hour from your GI tract. So, if you are 3 or 4 liters dehydrated (which can easily happen during a hard night of drinking and possible vomiting,) it can take 6 to 7 hours to rehydrate via oral ingestion of water.
IV HYDRATION IS THE BEST CHOICE WHEN YOU’RE NAUSEOUS
Arguably, the worst part of a hangover is the nausea. Not only does your stomach ache, but it’s extremely difficult to keep anything down. Even if you didn’t drink to the point of throwing up, trying to eat or drink anything during a hangover is likely to trigger vomiting.
Receiving IV fluids is the obvious answer in this situation. Fluids given intravenously bypass your digestive system completely and won’t make you more nauseous. In fact, anti-nausea and anti-heart burn medications can be added to your IV to quickly settle your stomach.
IV HYDRATION PROVIDES ELECTROLYTES
If you’re dehydrated, you don’t simply need pure water – you need an electrolyte solution. It’s vital that you replace not only water, but also minerals like calcium, sodium, magnesium and potassium. Since you’re probably too queasy to eat or even down a sports drink during a hangover, the best way to get necessary electrolytes fast is through IV therapy.
The IV hangover cure you receive will contain saline as an electrolyte at the precise level your body needs, along with potassium and magnesium. Again, this will allow you to feel better more quickly than consuming food or water.
SOME VERY HELPFUL THINGS CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR IV HYDRATION TREATMENT
When you receive an IV from Hangover Heaven, you have the option of getting a lot more than just saline hydration. Some extremely helpful substances can be added to your IV to relieve your headache and nausea and get you feeling like yourself faster. These include vital minerals, vitamins, anti-inflammatory agents, anti-oxidants and anti-nausea drugs.
These drugs, also known as anti-emetics, are only available with a doctor’s prescription. The most common one is Zofran (odansetron.) Since you’re receiving them intravenously, there’s no danger of throwing up the medication. They work rapidly and usually eliminate your nausea and vomiting in less than an hour, usually within 20 minutes.

nb because not directly related
To kill a bad trip, benzodiazepines are very effective. Oral administration is usually good enough in most cases, although I suppose if you wanted to really kill it you could IV/IM them (although good luck reliably using needles while having a bad enough trip to want to kill it).
Rectal administration would probably be safer, but again, good luck convincing someone having a bad trip that they need to lie on their side and let you squirt warm drug water in them.
Also intranasal is trash with 95+% of benzos, so don't bother.
I'm wondering if the IV administration technique is actually all that valuable. It seems like you could achieve similar results through the much less trendy method of eating your vitamin/soykaf mixture and waiting an extra 45 - 120 minutes.
For the MDMA comedown, I've heard about people loading up on supplements like 5-htp with some success: https://www.erowid.org/chemicals/mdma/mdma_health2.shtml.
I'll reiterate that I think the risks and inconvenience of IV/IM administration outweigh any potential benefits.
Also rectal administration is a solid idea if faster onset is important.
Lastly, some reading material on IV/IM injection in case anyone needs it:

rehydration is a failsafe way to solve hangovers, it deals with the way your body responds to being dehydrated which gives you the "hangover feeling"
the problem you are dealing with is that without proprietary IV blends or a sterile drug lab, you are putting yourself and anybody you treat at risk of severe infection or death. megacorps do sell bulk of certain stims and other single use doses.
Fro a CYB view of things, i think autoinjectors are the one hit cure that you were talking about. right now there are autinjectors for a plethora of drugs that are used to counteract the effects of medical conditions and drug overdoses. though pretty much impossible to duplicate, I am sure there is a market somewhere for them.
the ones that come to mind are diazepam, like what>>1216 was talking about, and it is used as a counter to chemical warfare agents, so it being issued to troops is common. the neat thing about it is that it can be used for
>It is commonly used to treat a range of conditions including anxiety, alcohol withdrawal syndrome, benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome, muscle spasms, seizures, trouble sleeping, and restless legs syndrome.[5] It may also be used to cause memory loss during certain medical procedures.[6][7] It can be taken by mouth, inserted into the rectum, injected into muscle, or injected into a vein.[7] When given into a vein, effects begin in one to five minutes and last up to an hour.[7] By mouth, effects may take 40 minutes to begin.[8]
another one that comes to mind is the narcan/naloxone shot that counteracts opioids, and IIRC there are several American lawmakers trying to make it an over the counter auto injector
epipen are used for allergies, but im sure it may have some positive effect against allergic reactions to narcotics

HOW FAR IN DID YOU PUT IT?
WHAT KIND OF SETUP DID YOU USE?
you may have torn your insides...

Let's hope one of these dumb dumbs gets a bag full of pure water instead of IV solution and we can put this soykaf behind us.

I just put water up my butt using a shower hose, and held it in

metal shower hose?
if so, what ere you thinking, you let it slowly soak using gravity, not shoving water up your butt like an enema

I'm used to those enema bulb things before anal sex.
The general principal of water being absorbed rectal administration is still in affect.
I feel like the embarrassment, of having the proper equipment to rectally administer water for hangovers out weighs the benefits.

Literally shoving stuff up your ass because you hedonistic fuarrrktards can't slowdown with your alcohol. Enjoy your torn up insides. I'm dying of laughter.
