wow, that sky picture is crazy. Anyone else see the face with the moon being an eye? It's really trippy. I'll be posting here once the fall semester starts as I will being taking photography 1.

misc images from my phone - I am not a photographer by any means
Anonymous · 2015-06-19 20:42
This was one of the first "real" photo I made with a DSLR camera. Nothing fancy but I liked it enough to use it as an album cover. Changed the contrast a little bit to make the windows frames invisibles.

>>74 nice - like the colour and mood!

>>115 Some nice shots there! - think the arm is my fave - dark and moody. - but all have lovely light and I like the way B/W brings out shape and light. Is the cloud a double exposure, chipshop, or did you just load the bong heavy?
Anonymous · 2015-06-22 19:08
>>118 Hey, thanks. The first two is done with digital, using 600D and Takumar 50/1.4, and the hand photo is analog film, using HP5+ and homemade paRodinal. The cloud is actually a house in fire that I take multiple photos and then merged in others using software... the name of this image is "Igne" from "Igne natura renovatur integra".

Lamest digital camera ever. Most unexpected visual effect.

It's neither databending nor a striking image, but I am having fun merging photos I take whenever I go hiking or wandering outside. I'll post a few more pictures related to the subject later
Anonymous · 2015-07-30 16:22
finally got my hands on a good camera, starting to get into photography. even though it's pretty unremarkable/striking, i really like the picture of the polaroid i can post more if anyone wants

>>122 HP5+ the contrast monster! Was it pushed in developing for that extra contrast... or did the dead rise from their graves that day?

>>2051 build log?
Anonymous · 2015-10-19 16:23
>>1989 Yeah, HP5+ have too much contrast... I don't like it, actually, but I just had this one at the time. The developing have no intentional push/pull, but it's a stand developing (1:50 paRodinal for ~1h). Also, the light was pretty close to the hand, and I was trying to create something like neo-noir (exp. -2 f-stop). I did the scan with Canon 600D and 100mm f/3.5 macro, so probably it also added some contrast too. My next goal is to take photos with dark red filter + polarizer on Double-X 5222 Eastman and develop in pyrogalol stand (1:200 , 3h). For people doing B&W photos: check out the new demosaicing algo. in RawTherapee... sharp as fuarrrk, really.
Anonymous · 2015-10-19 18:19
>>2054 It's not very sharp, but here.
Anonymous · 2015-10-19 18:39
>>2058 Your photos looks like an everyday-moments, but they have something special. Nice. Are you Japanese?
Anonymous · 2015-10-19 19:33
The first pic is a famous place in Kyoto, if you are a fan of the anime uchouten kazoku, you should know it. I also found the cafe that is featured in it, but sadly hadn't had my camera by my side. >>2059 >Are you Japanese? Nope, but these were taken during my visit of japan. >Nice. thanks.

The 2nd picture is on the roof of the building.
Anonymous · 2015-10-20 02:05
I wish I had abandoned buildings. All I got is stupid nature to explore.
