Wirth vs Unix philosophy?

It’s known that Plan 9 and Go have taken inspiration from Niklaus Wirth’s Oberon. I’m curious as to how Wirth’s programming/computing philosophy stacks up against Unix philosophy? How are the similar and how are they different?

> It’s known that Plan 9 and Go have taken inspiration from Niklaus Wirth’s Oberon. Really? All I know is that Acme and Oberon's interface have similarities.

This is all I can contribute, Plan9 being simple(adherent to Unix Philosophy) is a side effect of Wirth's philosophy, that's why plan9 code is incredibly suckless and there's an overlap between the communities. {Outcomes of Unix Philosophy} ⊂ {Outcomes of Wirth Philosophy}

>>30274 I've always seen Suckless as a misunderstanding of the Unix philosophy. They mistook economy for minimalism. Rather than doing more with less, they just flat out do less, occasionally with more (see Surf).

>>30289 Suckless has DIY has main pillar, and you need such minimalism to allow individuals to actually make change to programs beyond toy size. There's also genuine UNIX philosophy stuff, like ii.
