I've been considering interfacing with stock fish and using its settings to write a bot that plays on lichess. I want to start the bot out playing poorly but increase the level as time goes in a timespan that's similar to how a motivated player could improve. My goal is to end up with a high ranked account with minimal suspicion of botting. I worry that this approach could be detectable because stockfish will make inhuman decisions even at lower levels, so I'm considering also using a data set of games from different elo ranges and following those where applicable. Does lain have any recommendations? Any experience avoiding bot detection on lichess long-term? Ethical concerns?
