How many hours a day do you spend coding? I just started learning to code and after only 2 hours i feel like my brain is going to explode

Don't over do it, actually stop just when you are getting into it then pick it up later.
After a while gradually increase the time you spend coding, drink enough water and take breaks. You can use a pomodoro app to track your progress (I use goodtime which is FOSS and available on F-Droid)
After you git gud it's gonna still hurt sometimes, but that's where you are making progress just push through it and the next time you load up your text editor viola you know how to solve the problem.

Cant even do it anymore, just looking at one line of code already makes my brain barf.

I'm trying to increase my coding time up to 4 hours, taking 1 20 minutes break, but it's hard AF for master procrastinator like me.
What pomodoro schedule do you recommend? I think that the 50/10 pattern seems to be the most reasonable.

That's when you call it a day. It happens to everyone at some point. Get some rest, come back to it tomorrow. It's not about putting in the hours, it is about getting specific things done, solving problems. Once you're tired/obfuscated, there's no purpose in insisting.
Eventually you'll get more resilient and be able to do it for longer periods.
Also if there's a bug giving you a lot of trouble, it's good to take a break, drink some water and take walk.
[spoiler]btw if you want an answer to the original question, my answer is zero.[/sppiler]

How about the default 25/5?
I tried 30/5 which made me go nuts in the last 5 mins of the session.
Any break longer than 10 also makes me wanna do something else.
(That's all when I'm not interested in the task if it's something I like it's hard to go for a break lol)

Ugh, I coded 6k lines of code in Java for my dissertation last year and now I'm back from the army.
I cant even start to code, I'm trying to solve problems in HackerRank and searching for ideas to develop, but the moment I open the IDE I just freeze and do anything else but code.
I have lost my ability to produce code and this is like kicking dead whales down the beach. How do I get back into it? I have started reading data structures books again even though I am aware of this topic.

I either don't code at all or I code for like 6-10 hours straight. There's no in-between.

I'll try it later and report here if notice anything better. Also, i'll try to drink less coffee and drink tea instead because caffeine makes me too much excited and less focused.

Nice to see cute 2D girls being permitted of late.

Too few.

Ditto.

You really ought not go much longer than 2-4 hours, usually... Usually.
What were you working on? It can be easy to get stuck on points.
Fearless · 2020-11-06 23:37
Despite the fact that i missed some breaks, it really works. My tiny brain took much more time to completely stop working.
Pris · 2020-11-06 23:55
New to pomodoro, I use the default, which is 25 minutes focused, 5 minutes break and 10 minutes long breaks
