Hello anons, I'm a somewhat desperate Eastern Europoorean CS student banging his head to the wall with regards to programming in Prolog (particularly the SWI variant).
Now, I understand the abstract concept behind it (e.g. implying things is equivalent to if clauses, unification is done in order to clean up things, etc.) however the trace option leaves me somewhat confused, gtrace is...better, yet I still can't figure out how to create a proper binary tree on actual paper to show off how each step happens. I'm also clueless with regards to how to write down things such as addition, multiplication and the best I can do is perhaps just write a basic route calculating program.
Any advice on how I could understand things better? Any better debugging/tracing tools? If anybody has any idea of some documentation book, I'd be incredibly grateful.
