We use already built languages every day, but how many lains have created one of their own?
Care to share your experiences?
Also if you haven't I found this link which is a tutorial for creating a lisp in C.

I've been fostering the idea for a programming language for years now, but my other projects come first. I may be able to start working on it in more detail next year, though.
My goal is to create a very powerful language I can use for everything. I've already been able to show myself that it's more powerful than the languages I currently use.

I did it once. After learning Rust I realized that my language was just a worse Rust.

I am trying right now. So far I have a lexer and part of the parser.
It is inspired by Self, written in python so far, but I want to switch to rpython later when I have basic eval part running. This will make it JIT-able and hopefully fast enough to actually be usable.
