We discuss the influence of adjacent fields on the field of programmers, we compare the processes taking place in modern science with those that occurred within the Orthodox Church in pre-revolutionary Russia. We discuss the influence of physics on modern mathematics https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21645382

Friendly reminder that computers are just a tool. Mathematicians do programming because they can solve complex problems way faster than using an abacus. I suppose it's not necessary to mention that many computer pioneers who revolutionized the world were prodigious mathematicians. And sadly, nowadays the theoretical field is not valued as much as the practical one thanks to the culture of laziness that is being imposed by the oligarchs who own the world's technological companies. We live in a neo-pragmatist age that disregards being curious because "it's a waste of time" (or money, rather).

>publishing your blog posts on zenodo Holy cringe. Why do some people feel the need to larp as academics when they clearly aren't?

>>44539 Thank God I'm not an academic. Thank God the scientific style is not yet the private property of Academy. You may notice that this text references sociological paper, which is why it's on Zenodo as well.
