If an absolute beginner dumb of the dumbest normal person asked how to start learning to prgram what would you tell them?

I'd tell them to read the catalog and not soykaf up the board. I'd tell them to use Google or any other resource to ask their questions before asking to have their hand held. I'd ask them to check themselves into the ward for gross incompetence to see them get zombified and addicted to ssris so they're nobody's problem anymore.
