Hello my little dicks, i've been daily driving OpenBSD and i am actually starting to use it more. I use it on my 2025 thinkbook and it has full support including touchpad, audio, graphics and everything else. OpenBSD will always be my favourite BSD.

I'll be impressed if you can run Steam and Proton on it.
Your picture looks messy af btw, nothing is aligned or organized in any meaningful way.

Is the lack of bluetooth and other small genuinely a big problem? The only thing stopping me from switching is no bluetooth/horrible support for anything.
One day i will switch to openbsd for normal everyday things linked to my real identity and qubes for everything else

What if he doesn't wanna play games like that? It's not like every user in the world HAS to run proton and steam or else the OS is not worth it, that is just a stupid assumption honestly, which sadly fits the narrative most techtubers present, that if a device can't game then it isn't worth it

Maybe it's possible with a Linux compatibility layer? I think compatibility layers aren't so heavy that the games would become unplayable. And it's all open source.

What about wifi? Any issues with getting this set up?

I would still be impressed if they could run Steam and Proton on it, which is what I wrote in previous post. Me writing it doesn't mean they are in any way obligated to try it or respond to it, it means they can try and respond if they are also interested in gaming and trying those things. Even replying something like "yeah I also wanted that but couldn't make it work" would provide some useful information as a response to my previous post. There is no obligation, no claim that it is mandatory to be considered a good OS, etc.

Its not a big problem for specific usecases. Not using bluetooth is optimal for security focussed setup
