Trying to make lainchan instance

Hi lainchain tech. I am trying to make a lainchan instance for another imageboard on debian 13.3.0. Can anyone please help me understand this? Is the current git of lainchan even working? The github says php 7 is explicitly supported, so I tried php 7 first and composer install said I didn't meet requirements so I upgraded to php 7.4 and ran "composer update --ignore-platform-reqs" That got output on the browser at http://localhost/install.php but mostly errors mentioning twig extensions.

I got install.php to show the web install panel using php 7.4 and the php 7.4 branch of lainchan but it shows errors about twig. Any help please? It seems like lain chan is not maintained anymore..

>>90864 I suggest you try any other imageboard fork like tinychan and try to alter the css to make it look like lainchan. Why would you try to make an instance anyway, you could make it your own thing apart from lainchan

Would maybe help to post screenshots about all the errors. Also do you have to use the oldest possible version of PHP? To me the listed requirements in the git readme seem to be copy pasted from the ancient tinyboard readme, no idea when has that been updated. >>90864 Why the hell would you in the year of the lord 2025 decided to want to make an imageboard using a unmaintained fork of fuarrrking vichan which is first of all, fuarrrking ass and also hasnt been really maintained in a decade. I would have chosen to use something else but the guy who is trying to make a new 420chan wanted to use lainchan for some reason. I might just buy a domain and a VPS myself and do it all myself. This guy doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Pic related is some of the weird errors I got but I don't think I saved any of the actual errors. They were mostly about twig or something

You should install an imageboard software that actually works such as KusabaX
