why can't someone invent a mouse that works in the air?
Dozer · 2025-10-21 07:00
No reason, it was invented several decades ago...

There's also a mental mouse and a glove that functions as both a mouse and a keyboard (might be more comfortable than an actual air mouse).

you mean like a bat? bats r pretty much air mice

If you want a way to add wings to a living mouse, search for Michael Levin's experiments with bioelectricity. It can be used to order cells to grow various new limbs and other organs. No, you can't buy a new limb for yourself yet. It was done on animals as proof of concept, and now there's a company that prepares a buyable way to regenerate human limbs. It will take time. Although, strictly speaking, living mice continue working while airborne.

The best part of this method is that it doesn't require changing DNA, meaning the mouse can stay a real mouse, unlike certain mouse-like animals with wings...

>>89427 that's because bats don't lay eggs, they're mammals

>>89422 I forgot what the fair was called, but it was presented at a Japanese future-technology exhibition in the early 2000s. It works with (standing?) sound waves/vibration. It will be pretty straining for your arm and wrist though.

>>89428 Unfortunately Michael Levin is one of those academics who spends all his time talking. Making a mountain out of a molehill. "Bioelectricity" is rebranding some basic cell physiology about ion channels to make it seem like something new and overlooked.
