Is there any way I can change the live camera of my phone to some effects for audio and video? Like idk making lives on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or Twitch but when my phone uses my camera it will use that output that I'm redirecting to use as the default camera? Idk if u get my idea, something like a fake camera app.

Yes, you can (do it yourself). Time to go baaaalls deep in the kernel

I haven't messed with Linux in a while but messing with the file descriptors the process means to use for the video device *could* be good enough, however not for a program making advanced use of the interface (device-specific things), otherwise there might be a device descriptor you can redirect the program's calls to do nothing to and inject a call to a function block from the tracing program (shared memory and stuff, however on Linux I think there is trouble about memory protection of the code of processes that is pulled from disk?) It's unlikely that you need to touch privileged code at all is what I am trying to say

https://github.com/benzitools/GhostCam If your phone is rooted, this seems like a reasonable solution. If not, you could run an Android virtual machine on your PC and do it through that.

semi-related, but I've thought about how to make a kernel module that can "steal" the music that is directed to the audio devices, such that in addition to being sent to the speakers, it gets stored in disk. This in order to "record" the music from stuff like spotify. I imagine the same thing could be done backwards with the camera, I imagine you have to somehow "spoof" the camera driver with your own that does what you want it to do.

>>89268 I tried this one but it asked me for some weird codes to send via telegram but the guy said I have to pay to use it. I tried an alternative called Vcamera but it didn't allow me to use it. Whenever I try to open the app it just says "please use the official app" which is not available.
