Tech Questions #13 Old Thread: >>86529 howcome i have a broken pair of headphones i got on an airplane for free 20 years ago and it sounds 1000x better and clearer than some nigger sh1t bass-heavy headphones i bought this year for $50? grabbed the first thing i saw, didn't have time to look at reviews. LG or samsumg or whatever. is anyone else experiencing this? i went to return it and the user said that's just my opinion. did this happen to anyone else? i noticed this happened with all tech i bought since the year 2000.

>>88921 >I bought mass produced chinkphones. Music preferences changed over time and it seems bass is what gets the best reviews. Not all headphones are bass heavy though. See pic related for Fiio FT1's frequency response. When buying headphones, consider looking at the frequency response to get a rough idea of what sounds are emphasized.

>>88921 That's a easy one. Not having any bass at all sounds clearer than having soykafty bass. But if you listen to the same music using headphones with decent balanced bass, you won't be able to go back to nobass and consider it normal. If you ask me the cheapest full spectrum and decently neutral headphones in existence, I'd say Koss Porta Pro.

Why did you make a new thread? With a boring generic image (AI?) too. >>88654 is already #16 btw

>>88931 It was slightly entertaining to observe the uncanniness of cap line flawlessly transitioning into the hair line. OPs slop is far from the most dull of its kind.

>>88921 airline headphones? Broken? IIRC, it was the Bose guy who invented quality headphones for flights. If you fixed such a pair of headphones, congratulations. You fixed a piece of pro tier Bose gear. >50$ headphones i assoom you want hi-frequency headphones, but not bassy ones. I love BAAAAAASSSSSed sounds, but I am not sure if that's gonna be forever. so, you fixed them.
