I've come up with an idea that would allow developers to sell their games without payment processors or hosting their own web infrastructure. An activitypub service that allows developers to have their own page, and each instance can choose whether to federate with others.
The basic flow would be as follows:
The seller registers with an instance of the service. The seller lists a game and provides the service a wallet address, a payment confirmation address, and a product address.
The buyer sends funds to the wallet, upon which the service confirms payment, retrieves the product, and provides the buyer with a temporary location from which they can download the product. The buyer never becomes aware of the product's original location.
This process should be as flexible for the seller as possible. One way for the seller to not require hosting their own server, would be creating a smart contract to confirm payment, and hosting their game on IPFS, or something like web3.storage. The seller can package their game in an archive with a random salt file included. The market service would be told this by the seller, and could deliver just the game to the buyer. This way, the buyer would not be able to figure out the CID of the salted archive.

Your entire post can be substituted by creating an account on the fediverse and posting links to a few static pages in the bio.
Also try Mitra:

Static pages would just be giving your product away for free. Mitra requires every vendor to self-host an instance.

It was never difficult to sell something without payment processors. Bank transfers and checks have been available for a while. Granted you need to depend on a bank for that, but you were going to use one anyway. Cash-in-mail is more risky and more expensive. With crypto, you don't even need to depend on a bank anymore, but you'll still depend on an exchange if you want to buy food.
So there isn't anything that need "solving". Payment processors are so ubiquitous because they are damn convenient. Most people don't have a bitcoin/monero/soykafcoin wallet,, so even the best UI in the world won't make it more convenient than mastercard/visa.

Payment processors aren't convenient when they don't allow you to buy what you want, which is a growing trend.

Retoswap, using the Haveno protocol, obsolesces the need for reliance on exchanges.

Paywalling content is basic level. A few suggestions:
>host an encrypted file (zip, 7z, encrypted block device) on a file hosting website, hopping as needed.
>impliment a password system on the website
>make a post as "follower-only" and follow once they've paid
>Mitra requires every vendor to self-host an instance
And? You're just going to do that anyway with your suggestion. Unless you're suggesting everyone use your service a-la Steam, in which case using fedi is far more cost-effective a solution. Also no one wants to pay a middleman to host for them. It's the main reason Steam is so unpopular with developers.
Also if you want to go the "one-stop-shop" route have one person host and people pay a small monthly fee and are given a ticket to enter the instance.

Yes, except I think anyone should be able to host an instance. For the game developers, it should be as easy and cheap as possible. They can choose to host their product anywhere they want, whether that's on a paid service, a free cloud account, their own server, or a distributed storage solution like IPFS. They just need to tell the instance of the service they choose, where the product is. They should not have to host a service.

Your idea is good, but the reason all payment processors are doing the exact same thing at the exact same time is because they form a team and gave themselves the goal to control the culture and the flow of ideas in the world. This is why all major companies refused to have adds on X after Elon fired all the people whose job was to promote goodthink and shadowban wrongthink.
This is why all edge funds are together forcing all companies to have a good ESG ratting or to go bankrupt.
This is why all the presidents of the world go to the WEC to beg the investment funds to create jobs in their countries and not to ruin them.
This is who we are dealing with.
They will not tolerate you.
They will straight up end all cards or even account that have been used to pay you.
They will send an army of lawyer, and make their pawns write new laws if required.
Now, it you do that but accept payments that are out of their control, like BTC, you would probably be safe for a few year.
I suggest that the entire infrastructure should be located in the eastern bloc.
But if you really want to step on their feet, create a bank.
Do not randomly close the accounts of NGO or political parties who goes against the narrative. Accept to transfer money to buy whichever legal item is wanted.
