Objectively speaking (I mean without involving opinions regarding annoying bullsh*t like politics), how good and reliable an information resource is Wikipedia regarding issues related to technical information? Personally I think that the “anyone can edit the articles” is not a problem; that's what moderation is for... however, I may be wrong, I am human after all. What I am interested in knowing is whether the technical information is factually correct (for example, at this moment I am reading an article concerning the ICC profile). If I have to be honest, usually my first query is to specialized resources (academic PDFs or books, for example), but sometimes I have no other choice either because there is not much information on the subject or the alternative resources are out of date.
