How do I change the color of the titlebar to beige inside the custom CSS for 4chan?
AI was able to give me the code to get rid of the ghastly pink or blue fo the body area, but I cannot for the life of me (nor AI's) can figure out how to change the titlebar color area.
Help! Once I have this working on 4 I can apply it to other chans from there is my hope.
Thank you kindly!

Try this.
css
.postInfoM { /* post header */
background-color: #ffffff !important; /* change to desired color */
}
.postContainer.opContainer { /* body of OP post */
background-color: #ffffff !important; /* change to desired color */
}

Almost forgot, you'll probably want to select the part at the bottom that shows the replies as well. You can select that using .backlink

You are AMAZING!
You have no idea how long and how many different AI's I asked for help
The crazy thing is, one iteration along the way would've been right but they put div. in front of it, and I didn't personally know any better
Thank you again, let me finish applying these changes and I'll let you know where I'm stuck next!
I am trying to recreate the 56chan theme from jschan library with a few tweaks as I find it pleasing and reminds me of the 90s
Thanks again, great chan here

Okay I am back, and AI is stumped again
How do I change the post numbers in the screenshot from that dirty red color to #F48FB1 ?
I changed the body and everything else to ffffff for visibility
Grok is telling me to try
```css
.postNum a { /* post number in post header */
color: #F48FB1 !important; /* soft pink color */
}
```
but didn't do anything. Tried removing the ```a``` after ```postNum``` as well just as a hail Mary, and it broke the date color instead lol

You don't need AI. Actually, I don't see how it could be useful but for the simplest things.
- Right-click on the element you want to style -> Inspect (Q)
- Look in the right pane for the property you want to change (You may need to scroll down to the "inherited from..." parts)
- Use the same selector in your custom CSS. In the attached example, it would be ".intro span.name". Nothing more, nothing less.
You don't even need !important then.

In some cases, especially for backgrounds, you may need to look at parent elements.

Hi again
I am using the mobile website, and obviously mobile Chrome on my Pixel phone, so I don't have access to the usual inspect.
However, I did find something called mobileDevTools and installed it which gives me the inspect ability.
I took your advice, but am still unable to make it work.
I've tried every combination from that screenshot from .dateTime alone, to .dateTime.postNum , and just .postNum , and then Grok's suggestion of .postNum a
I firmly believe I've put the effort in, both with and without AI. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks again very much

Okay just by fluke I went to google and looked up other peoples themes and searched for postNum
The answer that worked for me, is a lengthy
div.post div.postInfoM span.postNum A { whatever }
But there is absolutely NO way I would've ever discovered that by using inspect element, and furthermore I had to guess at postInfoM because the main example of postInfo did not work for mobile.
Sheesh!
Thanks anyway
