What BBS do you use?

Seems like many BBSs are abandoned now. Is there one that you enjoy thats active? Perhaps, if there aren't very many we should start one

superseded by chans. We should make an imageboard. We'll call it "lainchan".

I somewhat unsure what you mean with BBS. Do you mean a web-based textboard? Then I can recommend Channel4 BBS, Heyuri's Strange World BBS and SchemeBBS. In case you mean a BBS in the old sense, like a place, that you have to telnet into, I suppose here https://www.telnet.org/htm/places.htm is a list for starters.

A lain BBS would be interesting. We could have a file section with interesting stuff, and nice lain themes doors or something. Al's geek lab BBS and TQW BBS are BBSes I go on quite a lot. I mostly play the door games though

Do you think Futaba has the same/similar security vulnerabilities as 4chan? Aren't both based on GazouBBS? Not sure if PDFs can be uploaded to Futaba or not.

I will use most any BBS that doesn't ask me 1.) my real name 2.) phone number or 3.) address. A BBS requiring that information to sign up in 2025 is plain stupid and ridiculous.
